BEFORE:

"It's funny," says Danielle with a nod. "No opportunities, and, then, all of a sudden, they are falling out of the sky. But. Waste not, want not. Know what I mean?"

"Well, sure," says Kat with a smile, "This is a big opportunity for HER. It's also a big opportunity for ME."

ROUND ONE:

O'Dell: "Back at ringside and that's 'Revolution 909' by Daft Punk, and here comes the star of the CW's 'Legacies', Danielle Rose Russell..."

McCarthy: "And, usually, I dismiss these tomato cans Weirdo brings in to pump up the records of his Dancing Hookers, but, keep in mind, CAMPBELL trains her opponent, so, she's got a chance to win."

O'Dell: "Russell into the ring and helped off with the robe. She's wearing a sapphire blue bikini and looking mighty good in it, if the fan reaction can be believed. And, that's 'I Don't Feel Like Dancing' by Scissor Sisters you hear behind us, and here comes Kat 'The Rack' Dennings!"

Tess: "And, Dennings is a girl you'd think would be pretty safe here at Front Street, but, from what we've been hearing, there might not be anyone this side of Chloe Bennet who's safe on the roster at the moment..."

Cassie: "That might be true, BFF, and that means now would NOT be a good time for Kat to slip up."

O'Dell: "Dennings into the ring and helped off with the robe by Jewel and Neve to reveal that curve-hugging black number we've seen before, and the ladies are about ready. Time for some picks. Tess likes Kat. Mac?"

McCarthy: "What the heck. I'm going with Russell. Maybe she'll send this Campbell clone out the door!"

O'Dell: "Cassie?"

Cassie: "I agree with Tess!"

O'Dell: "Split panel. Let's see who's right. Dennings right after Russell. She wants to close and bang, but Danielle having none of it. Russell on her bicycle here, moving, jabbing, going to make Kat run her to ground. Dennings more than willing to stalk a girl, but not having a lot of success right now."

McCarthy: "This is the weakness of Campbell Clones. They're slow and can't move and if you've got some LEGS like J-Mac, they can't BEAT you..."

Tess: "Except, Neve DID beat you. Over and over again."

McCarthy: "I. Was. ROBBED!"

O'Dell (sighing): "Russell showing not just excellent legs and feet, but an educated jab. She's using that to slow Dennings down, score points, set Kat up for some follow on right hands. Kat staying patient, continuing to pursue, but it's Danielle who's having the better of things."

Cassie: "No question Russell's showing something early."

O'Dell: "Final thirty seconds, and Danielle continuing with the stick and move strategy. Kat not pressing the issue, continuing to patiently stalk the younger woman. Ten seconds to go, and Russell going to dance them away. There's the bell, and it's Danielle wide and with the 10-9 lead."

ROUND TWO:

O'Dell: "Russell right back on the move and Kat back to stalking her. Danielle's got a plan here and, for the moment, at least, it's working. She's getting the war of movement she wants, and she's getting some work done. Kat remaining patient, No panic in the veteran, who knows she's got plenty of time..."

Cassie: "And, that's something that comes with experience. When you're first starting at this level, it's easy to get caught up in losing a round or two and you start to press."

O'Dell: "No doubt about it, but Kat not doing that. She's working the feet, looking to cut the ring and bring Danielle to battle, but Russell still very, very hard to find. Younger fighter's gotten into a nice rhythm as she jabs and moves, jabs and moves, landing some nice combinations in spots."

McCarthy: "This isn't about Russell. Good plan, sure, but the problem is that Dennings is just SLOW."

O'Dell: "Coming down the stretch in the second, and Danielle sitting on her second consecutive solid win. She's continuing to make Kat's life difficult, using the jab and the feet to create space and prevent Dennings from bringing that power to bear. And, there's the bell. Russell wide again."

Tess: "And, she's up 20-18."

ROUND THREE:

O'Dell: "Dennings upping the pressure a little as we start the third. She's walking through some of those jabs now, getting the ring cut and getting to work inside, thumping Danielle to the body. Russell banging back in kind, then slipping away to open canvas, but Kat right back after her."

Cassie: "Dennings starting to figure this out. Danielle had better have more in the playbook."

O'Dell: "Russell tying up quickly inside, slipping away. Kat pursues again, brings Russell to battle and goes after that body, BANGING away with heavy hooks. Danielle not shy about firing back inside, that's for sure, and she's holding her own in there pretty well..."

Tess: "She is, but, she's also continuing to keep the exchanges short, which is pretty intelligent."

O'Dell: "Just fifteen seconds left in the round. Kat back in the phone booth. Russell ties her up. Dennings levers with the shoulder, opens up the body, bangs some hooks to the ribs and there's the bell. Much closer this time. But Kat's going to get on the board with this one."

McCarthy: "But, Russell still leads 29-28."

ROUND FOUR:

O'Dell: "Fourth underway and Dennings again cutting the ring and closing on Danielle. Russell tying up immediately now, hanging on until she can either slip away to open canvas or force a break from the referee. Kat trying to punch free, but Danielle doing a very good job in the clinch."

McCarthy: "I'm liking this kid more and more. She knows how to deal with a Campbell Clone."

O'Dell: "Kat leveraging now, working a little body, but Russell slips away, gets back to moving and jabbing. Kat again patiently closes, gets inside, but Danielle tying up immediately again. Clearly, the younger brunette's team has scouted well and put in some tactics designed to take away what Kat likes to do..."

Cassie: "Question is, how will Dennings respond to that."

O'Dell: "Twenty seconds to go in the fourth. Russell on the move, working the jab, lands a nice combination before Kat cuts the ring and goes body. Again, Russell tying up. Kat trying to punch free but the referee moves in to break the brunettes apart and there's the bell. Close. Russell."

Tess: "And, Danielle's lead is now 39-37."

ROUND FIVE:

O'Dell: "Fifth starts on the same terms we've seen the last couple of rounds. Kat cutting the ring, closing. Russell tying up until she either gets a break or can slip away. Kat levering in there, opening the younger girl up and WORKING that body. Russell disengaging, getting back to mid-ring, but Kat immediately back on her..."

Tess: "And, this constant pressure will eventually wear on a fighter."

O'Dell: "And, that's definitely the plan. Kat right in Danielle's grill, working that body. Russell tying up and KAT ROCKS HER WITH A RIGHT HOOK! Russell stumbles, nearly goes down, and Dennings letting the hands go now! Younger brunette in DEEP trouble..."

Cassie: "She definitely is! Legs are rubber and Kat is TEEING off!"

O'Dell: "Russell backed to the ropes now as Kat wings away with both hands. Danielle in the tight guard as the referee looks in closely. Younger brunette hanging on as we roll into the final ten seconds and Kat TEARS into the exposed body with some NASTY hooks. Russell keeps that guard up, though, and there's the bell. Dennings. Wide."

McCarthy: "But, she didn't finish, and Russell still leads 48-47."

ROUND SIX:

O'Dell: "Kat looking for that finisher now. She's after Danielle. Russell giving ground, keeping the hands up, playing defense. Kat going body in a big way, hooking those ribs, trying to bring the guard down. To Danielle's credit, she's keeping the gloves high, making Dennings' job difficult."

McCarthy: "And, the ref had better watch some of those punches. They're LOW."

O'Dell: "They are NOT low, but they ARE scoring points and doing damage. Russell tying up now. Dennings levers, works some more body. Danielle tying up again and DOWN GOES RUSSELL! Oh, that punch came right out of the clear blue and Russell is DOWN..."

Cassie: "Right uppercut. On the button."

O'Dell: "Dennings to a neutral corner. Russell down on her back, eyes open but plenty glassy. Referee's count at three. Four. Five. Danielle's head lolling back and forth. Six. Seven. Not going to happen. Eight. Nine. TEN! It's OVER! And your winner by KO6 is Kat 'The Rack' Dennings!"

Tess: "Just a brutal right hand."

AFTER:

O'Dell: "Let's go up to the ring and Tess Valmore!"

Tess: "I have our winner, Kat Dennings, and, Kat, she gave you a fight..."

Kat (nodding): "Came in with a good plan. Tried to take away what I like to do. But, to get to the level I've reached, you have to be able to adjust to stuff like that. And, when I did, well. You saw."

Tess: "Is this the year Kat Dennings gets a shot at the title or maybe the JMD title?"

Kat (smiling): "It's early. Stay tuned!"
