BEFORE:

"It's been too long," says Sam with a shake of the head. "I can compete in the FCBA. And, tonight, I have a chance to prove it. And, that's exactly what I'm going to do."

"Sam may be able to compete here," says Sophie with a smile, "But. She can't compete with ME."



ROUND ONE:

O'Dell: "Back at ringside and that's 'Another Saturday Night' by another Sam Cooke..."

McCarthy: "I still don't get this..."

Cassie: "And, it's been nearly five years. Shocking."

Tess: "Call me Claude Rains..."

McCarthy: "SHUT UP, BOTH OF YOU!"

O'Dell: "Drink up, boys, and, if we could get back to boxing, that's the lovely British bantam Sam Cooke climbing into the ring. She's helped off with the robe and the crowd is popping for Sam in that green number we've seen before..."

McCarthy: "She may be able to compete with Mudd when it comes to a disrobe...but not with ME."

O'Dell: "Aaaannnnddddd that's 'Hotter Than Hell' by Dua Lipa hammering through the arena, and here comes 'Sultry' Sophie Mudd!"

Tess: "Mudd looking to take a step forward in a very competitive Front Street bantam division this year, and, to do that, she needs to get a result tonight."

O'Dell: "Sophie into the ring and helped off with the robe by Jewel and Neve. Crowd popping as they get a gander at Ms. Mudd in that Egyptian blue number we've seen before..."

McCarthy: "And, SHE can't compete with me, EITHER..."

O'Dell: "Ladies about ready. Time for some picks. Tess likes Sophie. Mac?"

McCarthy: "NO FCBA wins! Mudd!"

O'Dell: "Cassie?"

Cassie: "I agree with Tess!"

O'Dell: "Unanimous for the first bout and the ladies getting right to work. They're stepping to and banging and making no pretense about it. Both of these girls plenty physical, of course, but both have excellent reach for this division. And, neither one of them making use of it..."

Cassie: "No, they are not. They're right in the phone booth."

O'Dell: "Both also have excellent bodies, and they're testing those in a BIG way right now, thumping to ribs and midsection, going upstairs just enough to keep everyone honest. Might take a long time for attrition to work on either of these fighters, but, both blonde and brunette making the effort."

McCarthy: "Not surprised by Mudd. Campbell is her trainer. All she knows how to do is brawl diseducatedly."

O'Dell: "Coming down the stretch in round one. Not a lot in it. Good right to the head from Mudd and Cooke responds with one of her own. Ladies back to working body now, hooking ribs right to the bell. And, there it is. Very close, but it's the blonde who's going to get the points..."

Tess: "And take the 10-9 lead."



ROUND TWO:

O'Dell; "Second starts the way the first ended. Ladies right back in the phone booth banging away at one another. Cooke definitely has some power behind those punches, and there's no question Mudd is feeling them, but she's taking the licking and continuing to tick, as is the older blonde..."

Tess: "Sophie has to be thinking that, if this is a war of attrition, well, Sam's giving up over a decade, so..."

O'Dell: "Might be the thinking, but, for the moment at least, the lovely Ms. Cooke is giving every bit as well as she gets in there, backing up Sophie with a hard right to the head and then going right back to the body and GETTING DROPPED OUT OF NOWHERE! What a shot from Mudd!"

Cassie: "I don't sing this early in the card...but, I could sing..."

O'Dell: "Cooke down on her back after an absolutely DEVASTATING uppercut from Mudd. Sophie to a neutral corner. Referee's count at three. Four. Five. No movement at all from Cooke. Six. Seven. This is all academic. Eight. Nine. TEN! It's OVER! And, your winner by KO2 is 'Sultry' Sophie Mudd!"

McCarthy: "Lucky punch is all!"



AFTER:

O'Dell: "Let's go up to the ring and Tess Valmore!"

Tess: "Sophie, that didn't last long, but it was really physical while it did..."

Sophie (nodding): "No surprise. She can really hit, especially for this division. I knew she'd bring it. But, I was bringing it, too."

Tess: "You're off to a fast 2-0 start in 2021..."

Sophie (smiling): "And, there's a lot more where THIS came from, Tess. A LOT more."
