Elyse Willems vs Kristen Bell

Pre-Fight:

Kristen and Elyse both sit at the same table. Their contempt for one another is visible through their lack of eye contact. Kristen wears a smirk across her face as well as her famous blonde locks down around her ears. She nods along with the reporter as she answers the question about why Elyse again.

“Well I don’t like her,” answers Kristen. “And I need an easy win, which she is by the way. I mean did you see her against Milana? Emma? Chloe? Miranda? She’s past her prime, which lasted all of 3 seconds by the way. She’s not a has-been, she’s a never was.”

Elyse meanwhile has her hair tugged back, jaw clenched, and she glares forward as she bites her tongue and listens to the next question, which is about if Kristen is the right fighter for her to end her skid.

“I know she is,” says Elyse. “She’s smaller, older, slower… she wants to talk about past my prime, she’s ten years past hers. I’m not going to worry about my last few fights or my last two fights with her. I know what I can do and what I can do is go out there and get a win.”

After the media asks their questions the two fighters stand up for the face off. They each pose, getting nose-to-nose as their eyes glare into one another’s. After few seconds Kristen gives a mock kissing move with her lips, taunting Elyse who presses her forehead into Bell’s. Kristen responds with a shove and Elyse latches onto her hair. Kristen grabs Elyse by the ponytail and the two women are all over each other before security rushes in and breaks them apart.

“I’m gonna hurt that b*tch!” Kristen can be heard yelling as she’s carried out of the room.

“I hate her guts,” Elyse mutters to her stablemates.

R1:

Elyse comes out with a baby blue sports bra, shorts, and gloves outfit. Kristen bell is in all yellow. Of course the two fighters refuse to touch gloves as the fight begins.

Kristen doesn’t even bother with jabs. She knocked out Elyse in the first round before, and she’s looking to do it again. She comes out with a right hook that bangs against Elyse’s glove. Then she swings back with a left that catches her on the chin. Kristen smiles as she sees spit fly from Elyse’s mouth, head snapped to the side. Kristen comes in, tosses an uppercut that knocks Elyse’s head back.

Bell in early, she pummels Elyse’s midsection and then hits her with a beauty of a left cross. Elyse is on her heels early. Can Kristen do it in back to back fights?

Bell throws everything she has into a brutal right hand… But Willems ducks it and counters with an uppercut! Now it’s Kristen on her heels. Elyse backs her up… jab, jab, jab, jab. Elyse’s left hand carves through Kristen’s guard as that jab is snapping her back and forcing her to retreat.

Kristen tries to punch her way out of it, but Elyse’s guard shores up and she’s able to counter with a right cross of her own. Elyse moves well to her side, snapping off two more jabs before taking a punch to the gut. Willems backs off and Bell is glad to allow that. But when the two come together again Elyse is out-punching Kristen 2-1. She lands a good alternating cross combo as the bell rings and Elyse feels good about how she battled back in that round.

Willems up 10-9.

R2:

They’ve only had three fights, but Elyse and Kristen are definitely picking up on one another’s tendencies in fight four. Elyse goes back to the jab, which only works for a time until Kristen is able to find a counter and work Elyse’s midsection. Bell comes in and stays in tight, believing she has more power than Willems. She may be right, because as Elyse tries to stand toe-to-toe with her she gets absolutely pummeled.

Willems has to back off, and Kristen is on the hunt. She tracks Elyse down around the ring, lands a few shots, gets a few blocked, and then Elyse escapes. Then Kristen chases her down again.

This is the pattern for the remainder of the round, as Kristen ends it with a nice flurry of rights, lefts, ducking a hook, and then alternating body shots to Elyse’s abs. The bell rings and Kristen knows for sure she took that round, evening it up.

19-19 all.

R3:

The two blondes come out firing on all cylinders, standing in the center of the ring and just walloping each other with all they’ve got… but Kristen has the power advantage. And Elyse finds that out the hard way after a brutal right hook drops her like a sack of rocks.

Elyse rolls over onto her stomach and shakes her head. She slowly begins to push herself up and as she does she sees the smug self-satisfied face of Kristen Bell. Bell gestures her gloves and mouths, “Get up.”

Willems stands and Bell comes in to inflict more damage. She bangs away at Elyse’s body as the Free Puncher protects her head. Brutally, she thumps into the side of Elyse’s abdomen until she tries to break free. But when she does Kristen catches her with a left hand that sends Elyse stumbling into the corner.

Bell comes in again, right hook. Left hook. Duck. Right hook. As Elyse’s guard raises again, Kristen goes down to the body, once more sinking her swinging gloves into her torso. Elyse’s form looks compromised as she hunches over. Her gut expanding and contracting fast. Her arms begin to dip…

Right hook and Willems is down again.

Kristen has knocked her out cold twice before, and as Elyse’s body goes limp Kristen turns around and raises her hands, confident she’s just done it again. She roars out to the crowd and thumps her chest, surely having bested her rival once more.

But Elyse isn’t out cold. She’s hurt. Her entire world is spinning. Her body quivers. Her eyes are filled with tears. As she tries to push herself up her arms burn as if to tell her, “STOP! She’s already won!” But Elyse doesn’t want to listen to her arms. She doesn’t want to lose to Kristen again. She doesn’t want to lose again. She can’t believe she’s in this position once more. Knocked down after getting beaten down by Kristen Bell… It would be so easy just to lie down and take the loss.

And yet… as Elyse hears the voice of Claire Danes cutting through all of the haziness, she locks eyes with her trainer and begins to push herself up. Claire elbows Amy Smart and says, “Watch this.”

Elyse stands and the ref is just at the 9 count. She tells him that she’s fine and he says to fight on. Kristen turns and is shocked to see Elyse, though wobbly as she is, still standing. She furrows her brow, scrunches her nose, and comes forward.

She brutally beats Elyse back into the corner again. Willems doesn’t seem to even be defending herself, as she lets Kristen just brutalize her. Knocking her head from side to side a she grips the top rope for balance. Before Bell can send a finishing blow though, the bell rings and Elyse steps forward towards Kristen, putting her head against hers.

“You’re done knocking me down…” Elyse promises.

The two women are separated and go back to their corners. Elyse is breathing heavily, but she has a look in her eyes. Claire crouches in front of her, taps her on the head and tells her, “Go punch her lights out…”

Bell leads 29-26.

R4:

Elyse has fire in her eyes. And even as Bell continues her assault, she’s not getting Elyse to back down. Willems takes the punishment, everything Bell throws at her, and dishes some back of her own. She’s walking right through Kristen’s barrage of hooks, jabs, and crosses, making a b-line towards the blonde.

Willems lands a few jabs, but the killer is an uppercut that knocks Kristen off balance. As she starts to fall back, Elsye sneaks a left handed-cross and the momentum is enough to carry Kristen down to the canvas!

Elyse backs off, keeping her eyes on Kristen. The smaller blonde scrambles to her feet before the ref can even count to three and the fight is back on. But if Kristen knew what was awaiting her, she wouldn’t have been so eager to get up.

The Free Puncher lands a right hook. Then she works two lefts into Bell’s abs. Then a right hand square to the nose. Bell tries to cover up, but Elyse’s hooks are now banging her gloves and forearms around, making Kristen’s upper body lean to and fro. Elyse batters her back and forth until finally she gets Kristen in a corner. Willems marks an absolute meal of her, snapping off quick strikes in the spaces between Kristen’s guard. By the time Elyse revs up for her final left hook, Kristen knows what’s about to happen. She’s been defeated by the process of a thousand cuts. The left hand crashes into Bell’s cheek and Kristen is down. Out. Cold.

WINNER IN ROUND 4 VIA KO: ELYSE WILLEMS

Post-Fight:

Elyse, not known for her post-fight antics, is keen to take the limp Kristen and drag her around the ring. With her fist pumping in the air, she walks Kristen around a few times before finally dropping her at her feet. Elyse plants her foot on Kristen’s body and flexes. Then she gives Kristen one last little shove with her foot before walking back to her corner.

“I’ll get her,” Kristen promises after the fight. “I swear, she has not heard the last of me…”

“Bell needs to retire,” Elyse says. “She doesn’t phase me anymore and she wasn’t really beating anyone else. I’ve got her number now… next time she steps into the ring with me it’s gonna be a bloodbath.”
