Fought outdoors at the Kowloon Race Track, Hong Kong

Liu moving up to bantam fro this fight, unable to procure credible opposition at 110--she’s having to expand the strike zone to get her hits. Chen looking like the wrong sort of person for a stay-busy fight after giving Hu a difficult bunch of looks--pundits questioning if the awkwardness and height of Julie might make for a problematic outing for the much shorter Liu. N-uh uh.

Showing complete disdain for her opponent, Liu proceeded to jump in and out with brazen hands-down power shots, hanging around in close to crouch her head down below the waist line, weaving Chen’s panicky swipes and straightening to twist into vicious hooks and rights from point blank range. Julie never comfortable, rarely connecting, constantly reeling back on her heels with a quizzical expression--she was totally and completely undressed in this fight. Pretty KO--Lou slipping under a Chen right, stepping in close to drag the right hand to Julie’s chin--Liu’s face just inches away from the impact--Julie dropped in a heap at the ropes all short-circuited and twitching.
