BEFORE:
Battle of the blondes tonight as Dollhouse sweetheart, Ginny Gardner, goes up against British phenom, Cara Delevingne. Atmosphere in the press hall is casual and jovial, despite the fact that these two are going to be exchanging fists to the face a little later.

"I know Cara fights at Lightweight and she has a pretty good record to show for it, but we have a similar build in this fight, so I feel like neither of us really has a serious advantage over the other tonight. I may have a few pounds on her, but it's like… whatever," Ginny starting first at the microphone. "She hasn't won a fight this year yet, so I bet she's not gonna be playing around later," the Doll chuckles… but then again, neither am I. I really want to get myself into the top 20 of the division by the end of this year, and Cara is just another step on the way there. Hope you’re ready for a butt whooping, Cara!.”

We might just have to take Ginny seriously here, despite her baby-like good looks and that angelic smile, considering how many girls she’s knocked out since her debut in the Dollhouse. Cara Delevingne however seen grinning back at her from across the press table, part bemusement, part incredulous over whether to take this girl seriously or not.

"What a little bundle of joy you are. It's good to dream big, Ginny, and I always believe that if you work hard enough at something, you're gonna achieve the impossible. So good for you for wanting to try and crack the top 20. But honestly, love, I don't think it's gonna happen for you tonight. You see, I've chewed out plenty of Lightweights for tea and biscuits, and you're just a little lamb from another division below me. So it's your arse that’s going to get 'whooped' tonight."

Fight time, and the stride down the ramparts is sexy, bubbly and full of personality for both women: Cara coming down in an all-white bra and briefs with matching white and grey gloves, hair in a tight sleek ponytail, glitter sparkling on her skin giving her an angelic look. Ginny shining brightly as well with her turquoise and grey sports outfit, her blonde hair tied up in a messy high ponytail as she raises her gloves to acknowledge the cheering fans on her way to the ring.

A few short minutes later and we're finally in the ring and about to get these ten rounds of Catchweight action started. There's the touch of gloves followed by the referee directing them back to corners. Bell echoes through the arena and HERE we go!!

ROUND 1:
Ginny moving fast like the wind, bobbing and weaving constantly even though Cara's barely shooting jabs at her head in the first minute. Part of the plan is to frustrate and confuse her opponent by moving and moving some more, thereby frustrating Delevingne, who can't land her punches consistently. This is made worse when Ginny opts to stay at a distance from her, not unusual for the Doll, but certainly not helpful for Cara, who's used to fighting Lightweights and now having trouble catching the quick Bantam blonde. Last minute has Ginny pouncing on her already-panting foe, rocking Cara to the face with a series of sharp jabs to the nostrils and drawing a loud reaction from this crowd in attendance. But what happens next is surely a shocker: Cara flooring it with a full-on charge towards Ginny, an unconventional tactic that’s quickly working as Ginny’s overwhelmed by the sheer number of punches landing on her arms and body. Both girls are still moving across the ring in rapid fashion, but it’s a shock to the system for the Doll in particularly, both figuratively and literally, as she ends the round at the opposite side of the scorecards. Cara making her intentions known with a wide round for herself as a result.

ROUND 2:
Ginny more than running spooked this next round. If she was moving fast previously, those feet are working at breakneck speed in the second. Cara still smirking to herself as she runs forward hoping to repeat her earlier success. But Ginny moving in tandem with her this time, before rocking the Brit to the face with jabs of her own. Cara definitely taking more abuse than receiving, and it's starting to overwhelm her badly by the second minute, when she suddenly gives up the chase and hangs back, her cheek battered pink from the constant punches landing. Ginny still playing it cautious, however, doesn't rush in to finish her foe off, instead slowly escalates the pressure with more jabs aimed towards Cara’s head and body. It seems like Delevingne's lightning ain’t gonna strike a second time, not if Ginny can help it. Cara getting a taste of her own static as Ginny lands two jabs to her body to wrap up the round, making it a wild pendulum swing back in her favour!

ROUND 3:
Cara still visibly struggling to deal with Ginny's speed and agility and it shows again in the third. Gardner not even going for any traditional hit-and-run tactics, instead knows that she's already the faster girl in this fight, and just needs to keep herself moving and striking occasionally in order to win herself points overall. Cara on the other hand like a fish out of water as she tries everything in her little book of strategies: charging forward in brazen attempts to surprise Ginny or hanging back and shooting at her head with jabs. But Gardner simply adapting on the fly and beating the Brit at her own game: the Doll avoiding the charge in the former and moving sideways and attacking in the latter manoeuvre. By the end of the third minute, Delevingne is left panting hard on the ropes as Ginny wins this attrition war based on smart tactics alone.

ROUND 4:
Girls get even more serious as the strain of the fight starts to take its toll on them both. Ginny and Cara circling and trading stiff shots to the face, though Gardner seems to have forgotten her modus operandi for the past three rounds, with her overeagerness costing her the lead in that particular exchange when Cara exerts more power and bashes her head to the side with a hook. Cara however is left breathless as she tries to give chase, but Gardner manages to recover long enough to move backwards, still jabbing defensively with her right hand extended in between, and the British blonde takes the bait like a little lamb to the slaughter. Final seconds and neither woman is that keen anymore on rushing forward to attack any longer - they go back to long range jabs, each one looking for an opening to strike but not finding many.

ROUND 5:
Ginny gets caught with an early flurry to the face when she wasn’t paying attention to Cara’s movements, allowing the Brit to get in too close. Delevingne’s fans letting out a roar from one side of the arena, as Gardner gets wobbled and retreats hastily, with Cara continuing to batter her body on the way out. Ginny however managing to cover up quickly, also starting to lose her own breath as she circles and defends like last time. She needs to focus if she hopes to win this. But thankfully, Cara not in any position herself to chase after her, also a little wiser now that she knows how Ginny operates. Lack of action results in the middle minute as both girls do a slow dance around each other, refusing to get in closer to brawl. Cara scoring well overall for that lucky blitz attack.

ROUND 6:
Both girls are playing the long game and it shows - we’re into the second half of this fight and still no knockdown in sight. Ginny showing reluctance to charge towards Cara yet, not even when she scores a three-punch combo to the Brit’s face in the opening minute itself. Cara left dazed and stunned, pushed backwards, but Gardner still refusing to follow up with some heavier ammunition, allowing Delevingne to recover again and come back towards her. Ginny defending against the Brit’s retaliatory strikes, before scoring to the body again. However, this time, Cara stands her ground and absorbs, before slamming a hook straight into the side of Ginny’s face! OUCH! Ginny rocked by that one, and serves her right for relying on her defensive capabilities alone! That guard of hers can certainly take a beating, but not a sustained one at that! Cara’s fans let out a roar in turn as she goes running after Ginny, but the bell thankfully saves her prey from a potential face-to-face with the canvas.

ROUND 7:
After that rockin’ shot, Ginny’s face certainly looks flushed and slightly worried. Cara, however, not really looking any better, her lips are apart as she sucks in deep swaths of air. Even fit-as-a-fiddle models can’t go seven rounds without taking a break. Opening seconds are slow, as one can expect: Ginny staying back with her head buried in her arms, whereas Cara spending more time catching her breath than on mounting an offensive. Delevingne however taking the initiative again with some opening combos to Ginny’s guard, thinking she’s done more than enough to put away this new girl for good. Ginny being conservative, not too troubled by those half-hearted strikes to her arms that lack venom, suddenly POUNCES back with a hook connecting with Cara’s face as well, staggering the Brit when she was least expecting it! OW! That’s payback right there as Delevingne’s stunned look on her face says everything! Before she can recover, ANOTHER shot lands on the cheek, sending Cara off and crashing into the ropes, gobsmacked! Ginny roaring in, and now’s as good a time as any other! She’s slamming straight hands into the middle of Cara’s nostrils, the Brit too dazed to adequately block the barrage, then hooks crashing into her arms until finally DELEVINGNE GOES DOWN!

What a KNOCKDOWN we have in the seventh, folks! Delevingne’s left sputtering on her chest as she attempts to get back up, but having trouble locating the ropes. Ginny tired but looking joyous, walking slowly back to her corner to anticipate the final count-out. Referee doing his job, shouting out those big numbers as Cara tries to get back up from her feet, but rest of her body quittin’ on her! Ref hits 10-count and starts wavin’ his mad arms! It’s over!

Official Decision: Ginny Gardner defeats Cara Delevingne via KO7!

AFTER:
Ginny’s face lighting up in a big grin as the bell rapidly sounds, indicating that she’s won this fight after a long, drawn out battle. She immediately swings both her arms up into the air, before high-fiving her stable crew in her corner.

Cara on the other hand falling back down to her haunches, a clear look of dismay etched on her disheveled face, now flushed red from all that abuse. Ginny however not giving her much time to recover, walking over quickly and casting that long shadow over her former foe.

“Guess what? It’s ALL happening! Your ass just got whooped!” Ginny grinning down at her with a satisfied look on her face.

Cara ignoring her, however, partly breathless, partly humbled by the victorious blonde, as Ginny returns to her corner and hugs the rest of her teammates who have assembled to congratulate her on her victory. Later, backstage, Ginny speaks to reporters about what exactly went down in tonight’s fight.

“I think it’s about time girls start showing some respect, I mean, Cara was WAY too cocky considering her results and fighting at Lightweight doesn’t make you superwoman. We’re the same size, and I hope she learned something tonight. I learned something too, learned I can make it into the top 20 and I’m making it happen this year!” Gardner signs off with a confident smile as she walks into her dressing room, closing the door behind her.
