Missy Peregrym versus Kaley Cuoco

(Words & Results: Lookout!)

BEFORE: Missy and Kaley having a well-documented rivalry since Missy moved up to lightweight, with Cuoco proving a frequent stumbling block for Peregrym. A tough opponent for Missy as she looks to get back into competition against some of her favorite opponents. Kaley definitely qualifies and Cuco is clearly excited about an opportunity to bring Missy’s comeback to a crashing halt here tonight.

“Missy and I have a lot in common - we’re both athletic, both determined and both of us dominated bantam before moving up to lightweight. But, that’s where it stops and more importantly, where Missy gets stopped. This is one blonde that she is not going to be able to bulldoze her way through and I’m going to knock her out - just like I have many times before.” Kaley says with a grin.

Missy returning a confident grin of her own, “Kaley and I do have a lot in common. For what it’s worth, I totally respect her. But, while I respect her skills, I know what I’m bringing tonight and it’s more than she can handle. She’s caused me problems in the past, but I’m a freaking problem-solver in my career. I’m an Alpha in this league and she’s going to learn what it’s like to be a beta blonde tonight.”

During R1: Missy concentrating, up on her toes popping jabs, straight right hands as she scoots to either side. Cuoco snarling, pursuing but not cutting off the ring at all - tell-tale sign of street instincts failing a girl in the squared circle. Peregrym keeping it brisk - being first, never standing in front too long, giving Cuoco plenty of angles. Final moments - Missy steps in and dresses Kaley up a gaudy mix of lefts and rights waist and ears: Cuoco back on her heels, scowling as Missy pockets a classy shutout first.

R2: Girls trade shearing rights, come-back hooks and Missy GOES DOWN!!! Shattering blast torques Missy's head, drops her hard to her left shoulder - mouthpiece flying out of her mouth as she thunders against canvas TERRIBLY hurt. Missy ragdoll, pathetic as she scrambles to her feet - head lolling, dukes up at her mouth: legs aren't there as ref gives her 8 and WAVES Kaley ON IN! Cuoco grinning malevolently - Missy helpless, digs in to receive perhaps the worst beating of her distinguished career. Cuoco lusty to the waist - thick, shellacking rights and lefts off Missy's taut flesh. Cuoco hateful to jug, stepping to the right and hook-hook-HOOKING Missy's rack, pounding those defenseless blonde hooters with biting left hands - Kaley exhaling as she gets aggressive. Cuoco clubbing atop the head, on the jaw, shifting her weight from one foot to the other as she POURS the punishment to Missy. Peregrym reeling, sliding numb along the ropes - Kaley stepping with, looping lefts and rights on in sheets and Missy GOES DOWN! Peregrym pounded to her right side parallel to ropes, rolling to her back, head lolling gently side to side - she mindlessly grabs for rope, groggily hand-over-handing herself to her feet. Cuoco crowing, exhorting the crowd with aggressive head nods - arms outstretched wide as she prances like a latter-day roman gladiator. Missy at the bell: bleeding nose, eyes puffing up like inner tubes, mouth open in shock; Cuoco loving it - bellowing into the crowd.

R3: Peregrym shaking off the ref and ringside physician, grimly digging in her heels when asked to quit on her stool. Missy ramshackle, but serviceable - dukes up, shuffling gait as she advances to meet Kaley midring. Cuoco grinning, scooting-to, dropping the right low to load up, then sweeping it: Missy able to slip under, hook the ribs, fit her right hand to sleek mocha belly, then clinch. Sloppy stuff - Missy holding and hitting in the clinch, refusing to release until ref tugs her arms clear - then she stalks to her right, trying to coax life back into her legs. Cuoco snarling, pouring herself at Jen - Peregrym pre-empting Kaley the jab, Jen moving her head well, countering to the body both dukes and hanging on for dear life - punch & clutch impressive stuff. Good recovering round Missy - Kaley squandering herself in brawny, brawling rushes, smothering herself as Missy walks her into clinches.

R4: More of the same - Missy getting good leather onto Kaley's ribs, finishing every exchange with a clinch. Cuoco clearly frustrated - punching at Missy's body around blonde's extended arms as Peregrym holds for breaks. Missy's jab constantly renegotiating terms with Cuoco, preventing Kaley from setting and reefing the way she wants. Peregrym crafting her second straight round - still hurting and beat up, but thinking in there, finding ways to bamboozle Cuoco through 4.

R5: Kaley up off her stool, bouncing gloves off her firm belly to disparage Missy's efforts down there, then Cuoco storms across the ring to continue the assault. Peregrym crouched, chin tucked, dukes at cheek - she's sliding to her right, then fading - using her feet just enough to keep Kaley from setting. Cuoco reaching with shots, absolutely no respect for Missy - Peregrym shying away from the heat, potting her jab, releasing straight right hands only when they're a sure thing. Midway through, both girls miss right hands, both come back hooks and KALEY GOES DOWN! Concussive blast a mirror image of the shot that put Missy on hurt street in the second - mouthpiece punched off Cuoco's teeth and sent across the ring - she sprawls on her back, arms stretched out starfish. IT'S OVER! Missy chest heaving, eyes glaring from the neutral corner - she takes a sweet, sweet KO5 in vindictive fashion.

After: Cuoco slumbering down on the canvas as she is eventually helped up to her stool with Missy held away in a neutral corner, chest rising and falling, eyes narrowing until Kaley’s open. Staring her opponent down as she gives a little smile, then allows her hand to be raised as she steps into the center of the ring. Facing Cuoco, Missy takes a moment to bellow out with excitement, much like Kaley did earlier as she then struts away to address the press. Missy beaming as she scores a big win here tonight, acknowledging, “Kaley hits as hard as anybody in the division - you saw that here tonight and she is ALWAYS a threat. But, I’m not just anybody - I’m the Alpha Athlete and I’m going to keep on proving that as long as girls keep lining up to get beat.” Missy giving a little smile as she jogs out of the arena, giving some high five to fans and leaving a furious Kaley in her wake.
