They've fought each other on apartment carpets, ground away together on Brazilian sand, boxed, bearhugged, arm-wrestled - its one of the great unsung celebrity rivalries of all time. Both girls clearly past their boxing primes at this point, but neither ever wants to be shown up by the other - they always get into prime condition for this match up. Difference tonight is power - Nicollette finds a home early and often for blunt right hands on the jaw and has Gershon fighting hurt most of the night. Gina G valiant as she shakes off punishment to get inside, working for her fair share of rounds, but Gershon's busted up in the second, down in the fifth, down again and battered to the point of stoppage at the ropes in a gruesome 9th as Nicollette lets her hands go against her helpless opponent. A late rally sees Gina finally sting Nikki in the ninth, following up chin-checking hooks with a blistering combination to drop Sheridan at the bell. The tenth is a groggy, desperate swinging slugfest with both girls soaking up wide leather on the jaw, both too proud to go down despite ramshackle legs and throbbing midsections. Both girls win 5 rounds, but Gina's face doesn't lie - she soaked up the majority of powershots thrown in this fight, beaten unrecognizable and taunted unmercifully by a snarling Nicollette after the decision is announced.
