BEFORE: (Hawaii) Dani Fishel expected to provide colour commentary on the fight: she talks Val vs Trista on ET. "I love it!" the former fatty gushes to Maria Menounos. "This is what it's all about. These women lost 40 or more pounds each, got themselves into the best shapes of their lives, and they're not 18 year old bimbos - they're real women getting tight and putting what they've got out there. I've been exactly where they are - I know how hard it is to get yourself into fighting shape, but it's even more amazing at their ages that they're so combative and looking so great. At 49, Val knows she's biting off a lot here. Trista hits super hard for her size, and I think that's probably going to tell on Valerie as the fight goes on, but you know what? I've seen Bertinelli working out and she's all fight, all the time. The first three or four rounds are going to be crazy back and forth fun. If Val tags Trista early and gets her hurt? We could see an upset easy!"

Proud, strutting, sausage-tight little bodies fronting up: enthusiastic North Shore (Hawaii) crowd hooting in approval. Converted beach volleyball court: bleachers for the fans; ring posts set up directly on sand. Special ref Kelly Ripa another rebuilt bod looking outstanding and much the hardest hard body of the lot in her teal two piece.

During R1: Wide-eyed, hungry slugging - both girls eager to pound rival bodies, jugs. Val plowing straight, palm-down rights to Trista's hooters early - Bertinelli's right foot up out of the sand as she pours leather to jug. Rehn scowling, pitching back - she's putting her own palm-down stamping right to Val's rack; mopping up hooks-to-paunch in the bargain. Crowd pleasing bump-n'-jiggle - both girls punched out of their stances at times, pounced upon as the other presses her advantage. Fighters frequently falling in together - punching over the top and falling into rough-n'-tumble embraces - fun, if occasionally slopping viewing. Ripa stamping in sand, shouting warnings and pulling combatants apart: Kelly with her hands full as li'l jigglers just want at each other. Dani Fishel bouncing up and down, shrieking and bubbling and exclaiming throughout. Down the stretch, both women breathing hard, leaning in with left arms threaded under the other's right, reaching round the back to hold while right hands pump dutifully to tummies, hips. Bell: Trista pushing away from Valerie, pointing at her body and shouting "Muffin tops!" Fight delayed as seething Val pushes against ref to get at her tormentress.

R2: Similar stuff - awkward footing in the sand - girls digging in and pitching. Minute mark - haphazard slugging goes Val's way as she pastes Trista a good right to chin, then beats Rehn to pushy lefts and rights on the face. Trista stumbling forward, bumped and pasted: Val steps to her right, punches a wide right behind Rehn's head, then hooks her left eye as Trista's looking confused. Left hook landing from awkward angle bangs back Trista's head, unbalancing her: she sits down into sand, knees bent, arms outstretched, looking like she might cry. Rehn up quickly: ref gives her 8, looks her over before waving Val back in. Bertinelli squealing in triumph - pinwheeling into Trista at ropes: Rehn overwhelmed, covers up, twists, ducks to her right, crying out as Bertinelli batters her. Val calms down, tightens up: she rides her left forearm on Trista's upperback, pinning her right side to ropes, exposing her left side. Val bangin' away big girl - swinging right hands into Trista's flank, hip and left thigh. Blonde shouting, covering up turtle-style, taking it from a pumpin' Val B at the bell!

R3: Determined Trista wades in - throwing rights and lefts at Val's head. Bertinelli enthusiastically tossing back, but coming in second best: Trista's punches bounce off brunette skull, knocking Val off balance and getting her moving backward. Trista rushing forward, shooting in at Val's waist to tackle her to ropes: blonde throwing a cheap shoulder into Val's mouth as the girls struggle tummy to tummy. Rehn eventually pushing off, getting her hips back: now she's slugging fierce, bouncing big, banging right and left roundhouses off Val's cuddly little body. Bertinelli crying out in shock - eyes shut tight, arms outstretched to push. Trista won't be shoved: OH she's bashing at the beef, lips curled off teeth as she swings away all jugs a-sloshin'. Val sits in ropes, starting to blugger: TRISTA WANTS JUG! Little Rehn squaring away butt back, feet wide - she's JAMMIN' in straight-punching lefts and rights, stamping away palm-down on Val's fun little jugs. Val blurting in pain - hands outstretched, but not impeding Trista in any way. Rehn pressing her attack home - taut body electrifying the crowd as she beats Val blubbery. Reft steps in: Val's crying, not punching back - that's TKO3 Trista Rehn-Sutter!

After: Bertinelli furious at Ripa - pushing her and screaming at her for stopping the fight: Kelly pushing back and officials called in to restrain the official! Typical hard-punching Rehn performance: she bangs out plucky Val, but not before taking a seat in sand as Bertinelli proves feisty. RUMOUR ALERT: Dani Fishel so impressed with Trista, she's said to be looking at Rehn as a possible come-back tune up for Allison Mack. Let's hope that's true. Meanwhile - plenty of back and forth between Ripa and Val in the aftermath of this one: that seems likely as well.
