Minka Kelly vs Melissa Benoist
(Lioness Club of America vs Pretty Little Punchers, Inc.)
(60-26-1, 56 KO vs 14-14, 14 KO)
Results: Lookout!; Story: Vassago

BEFORE: Don't look now but Minka Kelly has won 11 straight bouts and comes around to celebrate a two-year anniversary of that unbeaten streak tonight! That is LCA's stable record - one better than Brooklyn Decker's former best mark. According to reports from Nashville she's well on her way to enter the Hall of Fame when she reaches the mandatory fight total and that remains the southpaw's ultimate goal for the foreseeable future. Save the bantamweigt title hype for Nina Dobrev!

Meanwhile Melissa Benoist is one of those PLP members who still seeks her breakthrough in the boxing universe. She sits at .500 career-wise, just not good enough to create that contending buzz around the media. Even BLONDE! Magazine stays silent on her prospects and time is slowly running out for the 32-year old to do something about it!

Minka Kelly wears a leopard print bikini top, black hip-huggers & red gloves. Long dark brown hair tied in a curled ponytail. Melissa Benoist wears a white crop top, black hip-huggers & blue gloves. Long blonde hair wrapped in a loose bun at the back of her head. The fight is scheduled for ten rounds in the bantamweight division.

Round 1:
It's another slow start from Minka who fails to respond to the blonde's slugging charge that snaps her head back a couple of times in the early going before a looping shot on the mouth makes her wince in shock rather than outright pain. Melissa doubles down on her head-hunting attack and gradually backs the brunette onto the ropes ducking underneath the aerial response. Minka tries to ignite some speed into her performance but gets trapped on the ropes regardless and has to apply the phone booth lockdown where she merely matches Benoist's production. The younger actress gets vocal as she drives in another chin-checking series and busts Kelly in the chops. She literally grabs her into a thai boxing clinch and backs out of a knee strike at the last moment however Minka is stirred enough not to argue foul play to the referee which is what LCA coach Eva Mendes tries to do instead.

Round 2:
Melissa seeks another head-hunting missile but walks into a booming left hand on the nose that cripples her into spasms! Uh-oh! Did we hear some bones crack upon impact? Hell yeah? Melissa wobbles into spasms and cuts a wounded figure when the Lioness southpaw bangs another right/left combo into her chin moments later... Melissa stares down the abyss still bothered by the sudden nasal injury and eats an uppercut bomb that FOLDS HER TO HER KNEES in the center of the ring!!! What da hell just happened? Minka can't believe her luck and raises her eyebrows but the count is on and Benoist sits down on her heels and covers her face behind the gloves for the best part. She then gets up at seven and looks a-okay... sort of... there is something wrong with her nose and she shakes her head when the ref asks her if she's good to go. Boom! The bout is called off 70 seconds into round number two!!! TKO2 Minka Kelly in WTF moment of the night!!!

AFTER: Melissa storms out of the ring immediately after the stoppage with Autumn Reeser and Danielle Harris chasing her down the aisle! Guess even the PLP entourage doesn't know what the hell happened other than a very probable nasal injury that broke the blonde's resilience out of nowhere.

Meanwhile back in the ring Minka Kelly & Eva Mendes seem a little dejected in victory and don't quite understand why Melissa bailed out of the fight in such quick fashion: "It's not like I punch THAT hard? Maybe she's not exactly the best SuperGirl character after all. Even that Reamonn song was better than this!", Minka deadpans her review while Eva tries to come up with some kryptonite joke. Whatever, it's a dozen wins in a row for LCA's southpaw and it's still shocking to see her find this kind of success at the back nine of her career. Then again, Phil Mickelson has found a fountain of youth literally last week as well so let's don't write off people on the wrong side of forty just yet!

Official Result: Minka Kelly def. Melissa Benoist TKO2.
