“Winstead beat me in a Lightweight Title fight back in 2018. I had to wait 2 years to finally get that title belt around my waist. Now I want it back!” Alexis declared.

“Well, you are not getting the belt from me,” Mary retorts quickly. “And I have not forgotten that Foxfire/Vixens Stable War where you beat me and it cost my team the War.”

“I didn’t realize Foxfire had such sore losers,” Alexis fired back.

“They aren’t—but I am,” Mary said, “and I mean to have the satisfaction of beating you and tying up our record.”

“Even if you do, I’ll be back in front after our 5th Fight,” Alexis promised/.

“I wouldn’t be thinking that far ahead if I were you,” Mary advised.

“Like you wouldn’t” Alexis said snappily.

“I suspect we have a LOT more fights coming Alexis Ren. For a model, you’re a good fighter and it’s always a pleasure to beat you,” Mary said.

“Well, thank you—I think,” Alexis said warily. “I’ll see you at the fight.”

“Oh, don; worry, you will,” Mary said with a wicked smirk.

Come the night of the PPV and the crowd is eagerly awaiting the Lightweight Title bout. Alexis Ren makes a dramatic entrance in a hooded black robe that she throws off in the ring. She is wearing white bikini top and white bikini bottoms with blue tropical fern with bright blue gloves and boots (white laces). Her blonde hair is pulled back in a battle braid. Then Defending Champion Mary Elizabeth Winstead makes her grand entrance and sheds her robe to reveal dark blue bikini with white gloves and boots (dark blue laces). Mary’s bobbed hair is loose and wetted down. Alexis and Mary look each other with interest for a moment before directing their attention to the referee. The instructions are covered. Gloves are tapped. The fighters go to their corners. The bell rings. It is on!

R1: Alexis moves quickly to close with Mary and fires off quick shots to the head that have the Champ ducking. Alexis moving smoothly around a wary MEW, firing in quick punches to the body and head. Mary seems to trying to size Alexis up and Alexis doing her best to keep off baance with her fast flurries. Mary finally moves forward to confront the challenger, but promptly gets stuffed hard to the belly by deep, digging hooks from Alexis. Mary doubled up, shuffling back and looking protect her head. Alexis working Mary to the chest, ribcage and belly over the rest of the round. Alexis wins opener wide.

R2: Mary moving quickly to assert herself in this round. Fast from her corner and faster with whipping uppercuts to Alexis’ chin. Alexis knocked back, trying to get her mitts up to protect her face, but Mary ramming through straight punches. Alexis recoils her face all lumped up and discolored. Alexis finally gets her high guard in place as Mary shifts to shelling the Ren midsection. Alexis doubling up, being driven towards the ropes, but she is managing to use her jab to slow Mary down. Alexis still clear of the ropes as the rpund ends, but Mary wins the stanza wide.

R3: Mary comes out quickly again this round, but, so is Alexis. Mary swings big right hand at Alexis’ head, but Alexis ducks under it and counters with a right to MEW’s chin. It’s big solid blow that sends Mary spilling backwards, though she manages to stay on her feet. Alexis leaping after Winnie and pouring on the follow up. Most of these blows bouncing off the sides of Mary’s head keeping the Champ ducking. Alexis trying to herd Mary into the ropes, but runs into resistance as Mary begins punching back. Mary’s counters not enough to disrupt Alexis’ attack and she has under constant punching pressure to the bell. Mary looking wobbily as she heads for her corner. Alexis, not surprising, looks upbeat and cheerful s she heads for her own corner having won the round wide.

R4: Alexis and Mary out to the center of the ring as the new round gets started. Alexis aggressive early, trying to get at Mary’s head, but Mary ‘s got the range on Alexis’ head. Alexis rocked with strong MEW rights an lefts to her jaw. Alexis’ head getting swiveled one way and then the other before she can get her gloves up tight around her aching head. Now M.ary goes to the belly and just pours punch after punch into proud abs. Alexis folding up, mitts still at head and emitting gurgling gasps as Mary seems to be trying to break Alexis down in the abs. Alexis is doubled up, gasping for breath as her legs tremble. Mary driving Alexis into the ropes and finally succeeds only to be thwarted by the sound of the bell. MEW looking frustrated s she’s forced to leave Alexis hanging on the ropes Alexus just looks relieved she’s still in this fight. However Mary wins it on the judges’ cards by a wide margin.

R5: Alexis and Mary come storming out of their corners, but it is Alexis who moves faster and strikes first. Mary hit with head turned right to the jaw and then a cracking left uppercut to the chin. MEW is sent stumbling back and Alexis goes with her pumping in the follow-up punches. Mary driven back into the ropes where she takes a seat and covers up face in gloves. Alexis going hard to ry to cut Mary down. She is swabbing Mary’s torso from breast to belly and back again over and over. Mary’s legs are shuddering, but not giving way. Alexis is panting hard from the effort by the time the bell rings to end the round. Mary looks shaken and moves slowly, but Alexis frustrated to realize she is still standing. Round goes to Alexis Ren in a shutout.

R6: Foxfire corner crew working hard on the battered Mary between rounds. Mary trying to shake it off, but she doesn’t have much time. Bell rings. Mary jumps up, pounds her mitts together defiantly and moves out to face Alexis Ren. Alexis advancing slowly at Mary, but then tries to surprise her with a sudden rush and a feint at the head. Mary coolly steps to one side and smashes Alexis between the eyes with a lightning right hand. Alexis comes to a frozen stop and BAM! BAM! Right/left combo strikes home. Alexis staggering to one side, but Mary moving with her firing away head and body in a drumbeat comprehensive attack. Alexis floundering sideways into the ropes. Mary crowds in on her really roasting Alexis’ exposed right side ribs. Alexis writhing under the attack. Mary pouring in the leather and Alexis; knees are seen to be bending, but not fast enough. The bell sounds and Alexis has to grab the ropes to keep from falling, Mary steps back and shakes her head clearly not happy she could not get Alexis down. However, the round was another remarkable Mary Winstead comeback as she answers the shutout Alexis Ren got on her with one of her own on Alexis. Crowd buzzing, wondering what could happen next?

R7: Now it is the VIXENS corner crew trying to repair the damage to their badly beaten fighter. They succeed in getting Alexis Ren out for the new round and she moves carefully towards the center of the ring. Here Mary Winstead is waiting, watching carefully for any sudden moves, but not seeing any. Mary then moves forward with a steady output of punches high and low, just looking to see what response she will draw from Alexis. Alexis is responding, but sluggishly. Mary begins to snap quick rights and lefts off Alexis’ chin. Alexis looking increasingly woozy as she tries to counter. Then Mary launches a sustained attack on Alexis to the body especially her ribs and stomach. Alexis starting to tip forward and her high guard is weakening. THEN MARY STRIKES! BOOM! BOOM! Two big uppercuts into Alexis chin and Alexis shudders to a stunned halt. BOOM! BOOM! BOOM! Three more uppercuts turn Alexis’ head into a bobble doll AND DOWN GOES ALEXIS! Alexis crashes onto her back, her legs spread out and her arms at her sides. Mary hurries to the neutral corner. Referee moves in and starts counting. Alexis trying to push herself up but she falls back.

“EIGHT!...NINE!...TEN!...YOU’RE OUT!” cries the official.

MARY ELIZABETH WINSTEAD IS THE WINNER AND STILL FCBA LIGHTWEIGHT CHAMPION DEFEATING ALEX REN KO7!

After: Mary in high spirits after the win. She chats happily with teammates Sophia Turner, Alexandra Daddario and trainer Rachel Nichols. Then, she goes over to give a surprised Alexis Ren a hug and tell her: “Good try, Lexie, but not good enough this time.” Alexis expecting to be at least walked, but Mary just gets an arm around her and they pose for some joint photos.

“I thought Lexie deserved some respect for taking that beating on the ropes in the 6th and coming out in the 7th,” Mary says, “After all, not everyone can be as tough as ‘Mighty Mary Winstead’.”

“She is tough all right,” Alexis says later, “but I thought after being her twice I had her number. Evidently the number has been changed because it didn’t work for me this time. I’m not willing to admit she’s all that much better than me. I aim to keep fighting her and I hope ot will be with more success than I had tonight.”

Once again, Mary Winstead took a beating in a round, but came back to ultimate victory. This doesn’t always work for Mary, but it did tonight against almost as tough Alexis Ren. No doubt a disappointment to Alexis, but she’s young and we expect to see her back in the title hunt soon. Meanwhile Mary looks to see who she extend her championship streak against in her net title defense.
