Zoe's a threat that can't be ignored: I'd rather lose to a dozen blondes than drop a duke to her - serious. So it's settled: Zoe can't win this fight - I won't allow it!" Saldana gregarious at podium, in contrast to her demure opponent. "I'll tell you one thing," Zoe says by way of preamble, "no blonde on earth could stand on this stage today (rousing applause from the press, except for seething reps from one periodical in particular). That tells you how fast the FCBA is changing, when a blonde can't be part of the hottest fight on earth! Now, let me rip it up on Nikki a bit. She's lovely - you all can see that...but Nikki's a quitter. I'm beautiful, I'm lithe and bendy, but unlike Nicole, I'm hardnosed - I've got grit to back it all up. Deep down, Scherzinger's soft, and I mean to expose that. Gonna suck for her, 'cause I know she wants this to be her time, but it can't be BOTH our times. For me to shine, I have to take shine away from her, so that's the way it's gonna be!" Zoe in black CK underwear as per the new ad campaign; small black workout mitts; hair loose and tangly - she paces her corner like a jungle cat as Nicole descends to "Loosen Up Your Buttons" PCD fight song. Scherzinger in Maxim shoot silver bikini; small white work out mitts; glossy black hair loose n' tangly. Aside: Zoe coming in at 110, gives up a few pounds to Nicole, explaining: "it won't matter" during negotiations. Sexy Lexa Doig the guest ref - and fellow exotic: slick ponytail with rakish swept bangs; polo-collar ref's black/white t-shirt; boy-leg snug black trunks; white shoes.

During R1: Zoe: elbows in/hands up and relaxed - sliding/prowling footwork, always prepared to shift weight to back (right) foot. Nicole in closed stance - left shoulder pointed at Zoe; left hand at waist; right at chin...she's also balanced to allow sudden shifts to back leg. Bendy: Zoe dipping low at the waist - her head below Nicole's navel as Saldana weaves-torso; Nikki leaning away on her hips, weight on right leg, back arched. Like a Cirque du Soleil routine in there - girls pounce/counterpouncing - slashing punches that miss or graze as bendy-backed vixens swivel/slip/pivot. Zoe stripes Nikki a slashing sidearm right across the ribs that proves the difference in a limber first.

R2: Girls prowling flat-footed - bending up and down as each gets off swiping/slashing - nobody home as punches beat air. Minute mark - Zoe bending forward FINALLY strokes a healthy right hand upside Nikki's head, taking Scherzinger ear-to-chin: ringing blast has Nicole staring. Zoe straightens, dragging limber hook across Nikki's tummy, then deploying buggy-whip right hand in above Nicole's left hip. Scherzy groans, bends forward in earmuff: ZOE LATHERS NIKKI'S BACK! Cruel right hands swab across shiny brown lumbar and NIKKI'S DOWN! Scherzinger beaten to her knees, lips quivering: she's stricken, momentarily distraught. Zoe struts to neutral corner, raising hands above her head and doing a sensuous little belly dance hip-shimmy on the spot as poor Nikki's rousing for 8. Resume: Saldana sliding in on Scherzinger - punching slap-chop right hands out from her shoulder to beat at Nikki's face! Scherzinger laying back into ropes, trying to keep hands up, but Zoe's penetrating - cruel chop-knock delivery as Zoe works likes she's wielding a hatchet. Scherzinger rolling to her right, dropping to hands and knees: she's blubbering - Zoe's grinning. Another weepy 8: another lashing clean up from Zoe: Saldana switching to lather Nikki's flanks/tummy as Scherzinger circles the wagons face-in-gloves, stooping forward and shivering from punishment. Bell: Nicole blinking away silver tears; Zoe making brazen eye contact, hair wild in her eyes/at the corner of her mouth, chest heaving.

R3: Similar to the first - footwork/bendy backs make clean contact a rarity. Whenever Nikki bends far forward - Zoe unleashes brisk, scouring right hands across hip/kidney: Nikki grimacing at the thump. Scherzinger up-jabbing from her hip...SHE lands a diving right hand straight down into Zoe's flat tummy, spanking Saldana into retreat at one point. Zoe warned for kidney pounding; Nikki warned for getting that chicken-wing left elbow up when she's in close and pushing off...Lexa not playing any favourites. Darting/prowling/feinting/flinching stuff - Nicole commanding the ring, dictating positions to her cunning foe through 3.

R4: Zoe using more feints, deploying sidearm right hands to stripe across Nikki's ribcage. Scherzinger standing in the pocket, looking for slick right hand counters from closed-stance - bringing that chickenwing left elbow up whenever she falls in close, warding Zoe off. Nikki rolling Zoe's right hands with that supple left shoulder; Zoe slipping underneath Scherzinger's punches, looking for body in receipt. At the bell, single lashing overhand right clouts Nikki ear-to-chin, startling her, probably costing her the round in a lithe, sharpshooting fourth.

R5: Same as the fourth, only maybe it's Nicole getting the slightly better angles and looks. Nikki stooping to jab-body, then straightening up into biting hook/sharp pivot-left...not a lot of flush contact, but at least she's spooking Saldana. Nic turning on sudden lead rights, falling in close to smother receipts, then bringing that chickenwing left elbow up high to push Zoe off: Lexa barking warnings when Scherzinger's forearm presses hard against Zoe's neck at one point.
