Behati Prinsloo vs. Katrina Law

Behati Prinsloo: 5’10.5,” 30 years old, 7-6 with 7 KO since 2016. Fates Boxing.
Katrina Law: 5’7,” 33 years old, 16-16 with 11 KO since 2010. Bonzo’s Gym.(Words: Fates / Results: Lookout!)

Before:

Behati Prinsloo sounds off in her interview before the match, “It’s nothing personal. But I’m going to take care of business tonight. It doesn’t matter that she has twice as many fights as I do.”

Katrina Law, however, sees it as more than business as usual. “I mean, she’s an alright model, I guess. But she just is not an elite welter, and I mean that with the upmost respect. She can’t hang with me, and I’m going to crush her dreams of being an elite welter tonight.”

Prinsloo comes to the ring wearing a red sports bra and spandex shorts, showing off her near 5’11” frame. Law dons a black sports bra and matching trunks for the fight.

Round 1:

Behati wastes no time and starts throwing jabs as soon as the bell rings, using her reach advantage as much as she can. The model connects with a pair of jabs to Katrina’s face, forcing the actress to retreat. Prinsloo pursues Law, connecting with quick jabs to Law’s body before bouncing back. Katrina keeps her cool and lands a solid shot to Behati’s nose as the latter tried to coax Law into the ropes. The Namibian backs off before Law can land another solid punch and the two women start circling. Katrina the first to commit to a hard offense and lands a right into Behati’s belly before following up with a hook to Prinsloo’s jaw with a left. A smile edges onto Law’s face but Behati wipes it off with an absolutely monster hook that sends Katrina staggering back into the ropes. Behati unloads on Katrina as the actress pulls up her guard just before the bell rings. Behati takes the opening round on points, wide.

Round 2:

Both Prinsloo and Law come hopping out of their respective corners and immediately go after each other. Prinsloo tries to continue her tactic from the first round, launching jabs to use her reach advantage to wear down Law, but Katrina is ready. Law dodges the model’s punches and closes the distance before plugging leather into Behati’s belly. Prinsloo nearly doubles over and Katrina smacks an uppercut into Prinsloo, straightening her back up and then drives her into the ropes. Behati gets her guard up and throws some punches back as Katrina tries to keep her in the ropes, and manages to clinch, forcing the ref to break the women up. Prinsloo and Law trade shots for the rest of the round with Law landing more, including a flurry to Behati’s body right before the bell rings. Katrina takes the second round on points, wide.

Round 3:

Law jumps out of her corner to start the third while Prinsloo takes a more cautious note, much to Fates’ pleasure. Both women start circling to begin the round, feinting to see if they can get their opponent to buy the bait. At the close of the first minute, Katrina hangs a right and misses Behati, and the Namibian tries to follow up but only gets air! Law quickly lands a pair of punches to Behati’s chest before the model swings back, getting Law in the belly. The two women start exchanging a flurry of blows, both landing several punches to their opponent’s body. Prinsloo lands a solid right and makes some distance between herself and Law, breathing more heavily. Katrina notices Behati’s exertion, and pursues her around the ring, landing a handful of good blows, even if Prinsloo launched some back. As the bell dings, a smile creeps onto Law’s face as she wins the round, close.

Round 4:

Katrina again the more excited to resume the match as Prinsloo is trying to slow the match down after Law took the past two rounds. Behati keeps her distance as the two women exchange jabs, trying to connect without taking too many risks. Prinsloo is the first to make a genuine rush on offense as she darts in to land a pair of jabs right to Law’s mouth before backing off unscathed. Katrina bounces back to create some distance, then as soon as Behati tries to close it, she lashes out with a solid body shot and a jab of her own to the Namibian’s head. The two women begin circling, feinting and trading blows, each woman trying to get her opponent to expose a herself to a brutal attack. The two women trade jabs until the bell rings and they fight to a draw in a rather slow-paced round.

Round 5:

Prinsloo the first off her stool for the first time in several rounds, and she wastes no time in going after Law using her longer reach. Behati finding jabs to the body, and even though Katrina lands shots back, hers clearly lack the sting that the model’s punches have. After the first minute, Law adjusts and dodges a few of Prinsloo’s punches, and connects with a hook to Behati’s jaw. Prinsloo quickly gets her guard up to prevent Law from doing any serious damage, and when Law turns to the body, Behati clocks Katrina with a hook of her own, forcing the actress to yield some ground and take more punishment. Neither woman is able to assert her will completely over the other as both have a substantial amount of firepower, and the round ends with the two women slamming leather into each other. Behati edges out the round on points.

Round 6:

Law and Prinsloo rise to their feet as they seek to lay the hurt onto their opponent. Behati starts the round with a hard feint with her left and Law bites, leaving her open to a monster right from Prinsloo! Katrina staggers backwards and Behati pounces, jamming leather into Katrina’s body and face, alternating between the two targets to prevent the older woman from guarding against all the shots. Law fires a punch that glances off of the model’s fit body, and Behati slams home a right hook that gets all of Law’s chin! Katrina twists and crashes to the ground, and Prinsloo nimbly retreats to let the ref count. One. Two. Law stirs. Three. Four. Five. Katrina picks her head up and shakes it, clearly dazed. Six. Seven. Law reaches for the ropes. Eight. Nine. Law crashes back to the canvas. Ten. Your winner by KO6, Behati Prinsloo!

After:

A smile creeps across Behati’s face as she raises her arms in victory, then goes over to check on Law. Katrina acknowledges the model, then works on fully regaining consciousness before getting up.

“Katrina fought great.” Prinsloo gushes praise for the actress in her post-fight interview. “She hit hard, and she definitely took me by surprise in the second and third. I just had too much for her in the sixth.”

Law more reticent, knowing that she had an edge over Prinsloo for a substantial portion of the fight. “She’s young and strong. We’ll see where she goes. She doesn’t have 20 fights yet, and has some losses she shouldn’t. I think she will develop a lot in the next few months and we’ll get to see what kind of fighter Behati truly is.”
