BEFORE: "Welcome to 2019, if you show your ass in a Justin Bieber video clip, you're a frickin' celebrity!", Odette Yustman throws a rare shade on her tonight's opponent during a pre-fight interview with Erin Andrews however that's probably one of the highlights of Rachel Barnes' celebrity career to date indeed. Some fans question whether this is the real battle of California as the state could do slightly better than this however Odette dismisses the idea of this "stay busy" fight hurting her overall stock: "Lightweight is loaded enough I don't need to challenge all the top names all the frickin' time. I could use pounding wannabes like Rachel into a pulp! It's better than sitting on the couch and watching the PPV on TV! Let's go, people!"

Round 1:
Rachel wants to make an early impression and jumps into a quick slugging route however Odette's bendy defense comes to the fore and leaves the fellow brunette barely grazing the flesh despite plenty of effort during the opening minute. Rachel doesn't lose her focus but she struggles to connect with a meaningful punch before Yustman fires a vicious cross hook from the inside and tags her on the nose; another chopping hook finds the temple and suddenly Barnes lowers her guard just as Odette steps into a chin-checker that spins her onto the ropes on the spot. Ugh! Rachel's defense is all over the place and she gets sucked into the ropes when Yustman nails her with a left/right cross followed by a quick gut shot. Rachel opens up and tries to respond over the top but the fellow brunette beats her to the punch and SMOKES ONE ON THE CHIN to drop Barnes into lame duck mode... another uppercut drives straight through Rachel's chin moments later and SHE SLIDES DOWN ONTO HER KNEES with eyes closed to literally inject extra noise into the audience! Big time knockdown for the Lioness fighter who struts back to her corner while Rachel folds onto all fours and remains in utter shock during the slowish count. She wobbles back onto her left side and slumps into a stunning KO1 defeat just like that!

AFTER: Even the Lioness entourage didn't see this coming and Eva Mendes has to shake Odette up before the victorious feeling kicks in! "Okay, I guess she's a video clip talent after all? Let's hope she leaves this boxing thing to real professionals like ME!!!", Odette tries not to giggle too much after a few seconds but she's truly puzzled tonight's PPV opportunity turned into a glorified sparring session... a very short session indeed. "Can we book another fight later on the card? No? What a shame! I feel like we've wasted a prime opportunity to make even more noise! Sigh... It's all Rachel's fault anyway!"
