SARA SAMPAIO VS SOPHIE TURNER

Results: Lookout Writing: Archer

Sara; 28 YO, 5’8 (1.73 m), 1-4-0, 1 KO since 2016, Girls Friday

Sophie: 23 YO, 5’9 (1.75 m), 11-6-0, 11 KO since 2015, Foxfire Boxing

Before: Portuguese model Sara comes to the pre-fight press conference in black short shorts and a Portuguese National Soccer Team top. Somebody must have tipped off Sophie Turner about that because she shows up red shorts and British National Soccer Team top.

“I’m always eager to participate in International Bouts,” says Sophie, “celebrity boxing is so much more interesting—even when you aren’t quite sure who you are fighting. At least I know now that Sara is Portuguese.”

Sara looks irked at Sophie’s condescending words and snaps: “I am so glad you realize I am Portugual. Perhaps I should have sent you a resume.”

Sophie smiles sickly sweet: “No need for that. I am just happy to be fighting you. The details needn’t matter.”

“They will matter when I kick your arrogant ass!” Sara fires back.

“Now don’t get all huffy with me, my girl,” Sophie retorts.

“I will get ‘huffy’ if I want to!” Sara fires back.

“Of course,” Sophie says smoothly, “but it is rather childish of you.”

Now Sara is really ticked off, she marches across the stage and gives Sophie a ringing slap across the face.. Sophie looks momentarily shocked and then gives Sara a ringing slap to the face. Sara then grabs Sophie’s top and tries to rip it off. Sophie goes for Sara’s top. They struggle back and forth trying with all their strength to tear the other’s top off. Then there are two loud rips and Sara and Sophie fall backwards, the front of their tops have indeed been ripped off revealing Sara’s pink bra and Sophie’s white bra. The two of them let out cries of rage and crawl on their knees and now go for each their other’s hair. Fortunately (or unfortunately for those in the audience enjoying the spectacle, FCBA Security rushes out to drag the furious ladies apart).

As usual, pre-fight brawl makes for extra interest in the coming fight. Fans seen having Portuguese National Soccer Team and British National Soccer Team banners being waved some as the fighters approach the ring.

Sara in a leopard print on white string bikini with black gloves and boots (white laces). Hair in a battle braid. She is accompanied by GF Head Trainer Tarryn Terrell.

Sophie to the ring in a black bikini with white gloves and boots (black laces). Blonde hair is piled in a knot on top of her head. She is accompanied by Foxfire Lightweight Trainer Rachel Nichols.

The minute the two meet in the middle of the ring, Sara chests up on Sophie who shoves her breasts back into Sara’s. Interesting “Test of Juggs”draws wild cheers and hoots from the fans. However spoilsport referee breaks it up and warns the young women to stay in line. They do manage get through the ring instructions, but the referee prudently skips the traditional glove tap and sends the two to their corners. The bell rings.

R1: Sara and Sophie fly across the ring and collide in wild explosion of punching. Punches slamming into bellies, ribs, breasts and heads in a wild fashion as the emotion-backed leather is coming in hard and often. Then Sophie and Sara manage to connect with simultaneous uppercuts to the chin. BAM! POW! The blows send both fighters stumbling away, momentarily dazed, but then instinctively head back towards each other. They now pound away to the body and hammer away down to the bell. They both look a little glassy-eyed and are slow getting back to their corners. Judges call this opening round a DRAW.

R2: Sara and Sophie’s trainers were not pleased with their undisciplined opening round and when they came out for the second round they both moved with more deliberation. However, as they finally closed in and began to actually exchange punches, things heated up very quickly. Sophie took the lead, crowding in on Sara and giving her nasty hooks into her proud breast line. Sara fell back, but then jabbed back with straight rights and lefts that gave Sophie’s rack a series of crushing blows. Sophie fired back with hooks to Sara’s belly, doubling her up and causing her to fall back. Sara then rallied and the two exchanged hot jabs to face. Then Sophie added a swiping right to the jaw that swiveled Sara’s head and sent her recoiling back. Sara was trying to rebuild her defense against an incoming Sophie when time ran out on the round. Sophie Turner was awarded the round, but Sara Sampaio had made it close.

R3: Sara attacking Sophie to the head as the new round begins. Very quickly she’s got Sophie covering up on the defensive. Sara now swings into action against Sophie’s body. Sara works her way down, first smiting Sophie hard to the breasts, then giving her ribcage a roasting and finally banging Sophie to the belly with solid hooks. Sophie all hunched up and trying to counter with jabs, but Sara swinging from side to side to attack Sophie in the right side and then left side ribs. Sophie finally retreating, but Sara hangs with her, now bouncing shots off the sides of Sophie’s head. Sophie stabbing back with the jab, but she’s not really stopping Sara. Bell rings and Sara walks away having won the round wide. Sophie showing some stiffness in her walk back to her corner.

R4: Sara increases the intensity of her attack this round. She goes to the body first, but Sophie I quicker on the response and fires hooks of her own into Sara’s belly. Sara swats at Sophie to the head and scores, but Sophie catches her on the chin with answering right. Sara back on her heels and Sophie eagerly moves forward, but then Sara gets a hard left to Sophie’s jaw. Sophie is momentarily frozen in place and Sara now goes to the Foxfire lightweight’s belly with deep hooks. Sophie sent stumbling back, doubled up and gasping for air. Sara springs forward, but Sophie has quickly recovered and pounds in the jab to Sara’s face and breasts. Sara’s attack stalls, but she resists being backed up and the two get into toe to toe body pounding action. Sara spots a chance to get at Sophie’s chin and slips in an uppercut that sends Sophie stumbling back. Sara advances once again, but Sophie able to use her jab to stabilize her defenses down to the bell. The judges give it to Sara Sampaio, but by a close margin.

R5: “I know I am wearing her down,” Sara eagerly tells her trainer. “That’s it keep up the pressure, but don’t make any mistakes—she’s still dangerous!” warns Taryn Terrell.

“I am not losing to that model!” Sophie Turner is telling Rachel Nichols. “Stop getting mad. It’s interfering with your concentration. Stay focused and look for opportunities. You’ll find them!”

Bell rings and out they come. Sara comes in fast, she feints with a shot into Sophie’s midsection, but then lunges forward to bring in a right against Sophie’s jaw. Sophie sees it coming, she ducks away so that Sara’s glove whistles by her ear and then BAM! Sophie’s right crashes into the point of Sara’s chin. DOWN GOES SARA SAMPAIO! Sara just collapses in a heap as Sophie hops back to avoid her suddenly ragdolled opponent. Sara lays groaning on the canvas. Sophie hurries to the neutral corner. Referee starts counting. Sara manages to push herself up into a sitting position, but she is looking around with blank eyes and can’t seem to do anything more.

“EIGHT!...NINE!...TEN!...YOU’RE OUT!” declares the referee.

THE WINNER SOPHIE TURNER DEFEATS SARA SAMOAIO KO5!

After: No surprise that as soon as Sara Sampaio is ready, Sophie Turner swoops across the ring and takes the unhappy Sara on a Walk of Shame. Sara not very cooperative and Sophie has to drag her along. By the time they have completed the circuit. Sara pulls away from Sophie and berates her in a mixture of Portuguese and English, none of the words being complimentary. Taryn has to hold the infuriated Sara back as Rachel Nichols steers a smirking Sophie away. No lack of ill-will after this fight!

Sara Sampaio gave Foxfire’s “Lightweight of the Future” some tough rounds, but Sophie Turner hung in and found the opening for her KO right. Surprising competitive bout should give some encouragement to Sara and her management. Sophie was challenged and met it so this should go down as another step forward in her FCBA career development.
