Before: Viv gives up a little reach, a little height, a little weight, but still loves her chances, reaching into her literary bag of tricks to call Theron a ‘big white whale’ during pre-fight conferences. Nobody knows which Charlize might show up for this one, but if she’s right, Theron has too much game for the saucy Fox. Red aerobics two piece, high neck for Viv, white jogbra and teal adidas terrycloth trunks for Charlize. Small work out gloves for both.

During R1: Viv wastes no time breaking the rules. At center ring, she anchors her left hand securely in Charlize’ waistband, tugging on the trunk, and slugging at the chin of the big blonde. Pulling Charlize forward, Vivica pivots, reversing their positions, punches Theron short to the chin, tugs her for and pivots again, tags her chest, then begins shoving and slugging Charlize back into her own corner. AND CHARLIZE IS HURT!!! Theron slips into a daze, glassy eyes accepting the treatment without complaint as Vivica goes nuts. Charlize looks machine-gunned as her hips thrust out in response to a tug, then she jolts back into the corner as Vivica piles in another lusty right hand. Fox takes rests on Charlize’ chest as the blonde clinches her shoulders with her gloves, but the brunette has her way to the bell with this one side, illegal pounding. Vivica shoves Charlize into the corner after the bell like she’s removing something from her shoe, and returns to her own corner doing the “raise the roof” sign to the roaring crowd. Theron sags on her stool as her corner go to work in a hurry—so much to do, so little time to do it.

R2: Charlize isn’t ready to fold her hand yet. Still looking a little punchy, Theron nevertheless gets her long legs working, pumping out a discouraging jab at Vivica to keep the brunette at a distance. Nothing fancy from Theron as she fights within herself, but jabs, and the occasional right cross effectively control Fox for the round, and searing right across the mouth in the final seconds puts Viv wobbly. Round ends before Charlize can capitalize, but she’s made her point.

R3: Don’t blink. Charlize stand flat footed in front of Vivica, pumping out her shattering jab, then turns her shoulders to land a crashing hook to the point of Fox’ chin. Vivica staggers to her left, blinking in shock, and Charlize steps into that murderous short right to the jaw. Vivica sprawls onto her back, eyes shut tight, limns churning mechanically, but she’s not getting up. Huge KO3 for Charlize as she crushes Vivica with one of the hardest single shots she’s ever thrown.

After: Fox noticeably absent from any interviews following this bruising loss. Theron is cordial, saying only that Vivica “had to pay” for her rough tactics in the first. Important showing for Theron, who shakes off the will to lose, and comes back like a champ.
