Before: Lynda goes back to the Seniors Division for another tune up, but Lange agrees to the regular distance, prompting speculation that she might make a full time comeback. Little to choose at the weigh in between two big, veteran hitters, Carter black jogbra and red trunks, hair slicked back and braided—Lange blue beach volleyball bikini, hair slicked back and braided.

During: R1. Lynda wants it inside, and gets all she can handle. Carter stops punching, doing a lot of pushing, but she can’t budge the big blonde, and Jessica gets all the work done. Lange continuing to establish herself as a big woman who can punch to the body, beats Carter up this round.

R2: Lynda goes back to the play book and stands outside, and her piston jab makes Jessica look ordinary this round. Lange crossing her arms, coming forward, but she’s very hittable, and her heads snaps back repeatedly from Carter’s deadly left. In the final minute, Lange steps in behind some hard Lucia Rijker rights to the rib cage that make Carter wince, but it’s Lynda’s round.

R3: Lynda seems very intent on hurting Lange, adopting a much more aggressive look in the ring than usual. She starts out jabbing, but soon engages Lange in a series of left hook shootouts at medium distance. Carter’s biting punch carries the round as Lange retreats, and looks a little wobbly-butt at the bell.

R4: Jessica pressing early, fighting off Carter’s chest has Lynda’s back to the ropes, but the brunette turns things around with a sweet left uppercut on the inside. Jessica’s hands drop momentarily as she stumbles back a couple of steps, then wades in again. It’s over

in a heartbeat as Jessica throws a left hook, gets caught a left hook min return, and crumples to the canvas. Lynda Carter stuns Jessica Lange with a crumpling one punch KO.

After. Good outing for Carter, who refused to fold when Jessica tested her early, and stayed unusually focused on the chin of her opponent throughout the fight. Lange soaked up bombs in this fight, despite taking a good shot throughout and the final blow caught her just right.
