Under an almost round-the-clock threat from Kristen Bell and Sarah Carter, an embattled Kreuk took time out from her busy schedule of blonde-busting to handle yet another challenge from a feisty little fair-haired gunslinger. Kreuk won, but she was sorely pressed as clearly, the non-stop scraping has taken a fearful toll on her gamine frame.

The truth is, fresh-faced Panettiere (the so-called “Kristin Cavallari with heart”) was the better vixen for much of this fight. Attacking with crisp, vigorous, short punches in bunches—Hayden quickly took the first four rounds from Kreuk, dropping the brunette with a tidy hook in the second, and punching an ugly little mouse under Krissy’s left eye by the fourth.

Hayden’s got a rapid, compact delivery—not as heavy handed as a Mack or a Clarkson yet—but energetic as hell—and her scraping, skidding, chipping, digging attack proved deeply discouraging to sluggish Kreuk early. Raking Kris combinations up top, and scrounging to her ribs and waist with chugging assaults—Hayden fought with a glowing joie de vivre—as though punching into Kristin was the best thing in the whole wide world for her. Desperate measures were called for, and, desperate measures were taken, by a battleworn young brunette facing the very real prospect of subjugation in the first half of this fight.

In the fifth, Kreuk dug her way into Hayden’s britches with a concentrated commitment to trunks that we’ve never seen before from Kris. Debilitated, distraught—Hayden gave ground for the first time in the fight as the ref issued a steady stream of warnings, but did nothing substantial to get Kristen out of Hayden’s bottoms.

The low blows continued in the sixth, accompanied by vicious headbutts under Hayden’s left eye, neatly raising a sister-welt to match Kristin’s own. By now, the fighting was vicious and vindictive, with Hayden churning furiously off the ropes while Kreuk pinned her down with jabs and lathered back in coldblooded fashion.

In the end, Kreuk’s savage low blows, headbutts, crafty elbows and constant punching proved too much for a badly demoralized blonde. Helpless, blubbering—Hayden stared into the barrage of face-punches which left her slumped and helpless on the ropes, prompting referee intervention. Boos would escort a seething, battered Kris Kreuk from the ring for perhaps the first time in her career. The heartless cruelty displayed by Kris towards Hayden bespeaks the kind of pressure (mental and physical) the lissome brunette is under these days. It’s no fun being hounded from city to city, beach to beach, penthouse to penthouse, ring to ring: Kris either needs a rest, or allies, or decisive victory over her tormentresses—sooner rather than later.
