Hayley: 27, 5’4 (1.62 m), 12-18-0, 12 KO since 2016. Odds & Ends Fight Studio

Before: “I beat Ashley back in 2017—a KO6 and I am a bit surprised it has taken her this long to get a rematch. Of course, I am going to be very happy to do it and put down to suck canvas once again,” declared Hayley Orrantia in the pre-fight press meeting.

“I said at the time you were lucky, Hayley,:” retorted Ashley, “but your lucky runs out with this fight. Yeah, sorry it took this long to get around to fighting you again, but here we are and you are going down!”

“You always talk a good game Benson, too bad that tends to do you no good in the actual fight,” replied Hayley

“Don’t count on on it. This fight will be a whole lot different!” Ashley insisted.

“I don’t think so!” mocked Hayley.

Ashley and Hayley stood smoldering at each other. Then Ashley turned and marched off the stage. This left Hayley little choice but to shrug and head to the wings.

On Fight Night, Ashley Benson entered the ring and remove her robe to reveal a pink bikini with pink boots and gloves (white laces). Ashley’s hair was loose, but wetted down.

Hayley Orrantia entered the ring and slipped out of her robe. She was in a dark purple bikini with light purple gloves and boots (dark purple laces). Hayley’s hair was in a battle braid.

The two eyed each other intensely during the ring instructions, but there was no outbursts. Yet the tension was high and finally appeared in the loud SMACK when Ashley and Hayley “tapped” their gloves. The two gave each other a final glare and stacked back to their corners as the crowd began to buzz with excitement. Then the tension was broken as the bell rang and the two bikini-clad boxers came out of their corners.

R1: Hayley moved in on Ashley with banging blows to the Benson breasts and then deep hooks to the belly that put the Puncher blonde up on her toes. Ashley was very quickly in retreat, trying to count the surging Hayley. Hayley now struck at Ashley to the chin and jaw, then back to pounding her stomach. Ashley was able to keep her jab going, but it was not slowing Hayley down. The best Ashley could manage was to keep from being driven into the ropes, but Hayley won the round quite easily.

R2: Ashley more quickly out of her corner this round and on the attack against Hayley. Leather flew rapidly as the two worked over each other mainly to the body with a few opportunistic head shots thrown in. Ashley was really working Hayley’s ribs both to the front and to the sides (by shifting to Hayley’s left side and then the right). Hayley matching Ashley punch for punch most of the way, but then Ashley fired a series of deep grinding hooks into Hayley’s belly. Hayley was doubled up and sent skidding back on her heels. Hayley lashed back when Ashley tried to follow up. The result was a close round, but Ashley Benson was the winner.

R3: Ashley and Hayley clashed at mid-ring as soon as they could get there from their corners. Hayley made a clever feint towards Ashley’s breasts, but drove a right, then a left uppercut into Ashley’s chin. Ashley was sent stumbling back and now Hayley turned her punching to work over Ashley’s rack. Ashley tried to jab Hayley back, but then took another right uppercut. Ashley’s head snapped back and she lurched backwards into the ropes. Ashley covered up her face with her gloves as Hayley worked over Ashley’s torso to the bell. Ashley was moving with obvious pain as she left the ropes at the bell She looked up to see Hayley standing there with a smirk on her face. Ashley took a step towards Hayley, but the alert referee stepped between them and ordered Ashley to her corner. Hayley won the round wide.

R4: PLP corner crew works hard between rounds and get Ashley Benson ready for the next round. The bell rang and Ashley was out with brisk punches that scored against Haley Orrantia’s face. Hayley circled to the right and came in again. Ashley took a solid right to the jaw, but countered with a smashing right of her own that caught Hayley off the chin. Hayley shuddered from the blow and fell back. Ashley immediately attacked with a lightning strike barrage of punches to Hayley’s chin. Hayley’s head bobbed up and down as she was unable to get her get her gloves up to protect her head. Then Ashley cracked a right to the jaw and then a left to the jaw. Hayley sagged backwards and Ashley added a final right uppercut that lifted Hayley off her feet. DOWN WENT HAYLEY ORRANTIA! Ashley hastened to the neutral corner and looked back anxiously as Hayley struggled to rise as the referee counted. Hayley pushed herself into a kneeling position, but she could go no further as the referee called out:

“EIGHT!...NINE!...TEN!...YOU’RE OUT!

THE WINNER: ASHLEY BENSON DEFEATS HAYLEY ORRANTIA KO4!

After: “I told you that first fight was a fluke and I was right!” a happy Ashley Benson told the press. “I knocked Hayley Orrantia on her ass and she couldn’t beat the count. Boy that felt good!”

Hayley Orrantia complained: “OK, I lost and she won, but if she thinks that first fight was a fluke—I think THIS fight was the fluke. I hope some day we’ll fight again and see who was ‘lucky’ and who was ‘the best.’ I still think it’s me!”

This was a pretty even fight while it lasted. Could well be that Ashley Benson was the ‘luckier’ fighter this time, but that doesn’t seem to have convinced Hayley Orrantia of anything. No word on whether there might be a third fight between the two, but it’s something fans of both fighters would likely be delighted to see.
