Intro:
For the first time in their careers Kaya Scodelario and Selena Gomez share a ring, both women are wanting to grab the bantamweight title this year, only one can move that extra step closer to that dream here on PPV.

Kaya is coming off a lost to Emily Ratajkowski, that still plays on her mind judging by her comments when being interviewed by journalists in the build up to this fight, when asked by one on that defeat, Kaya answers "that bimbo got lucky, she is just a foxy boxer still in my eyes and when she is ready to give me a rematch, the world will see that as a fact!", steam looks ready to pop out her ears as she speaks.

She somewhat calms down when Selena is mentioned, Kaya tells the journalists "Selena doesn't worry me, if there is a bigger disappointment in celebrity boxing then you can happily show me, hanging around Taylor Swift hasn't rubbed any of her talent on her", belittling someone who has always been a top contender in two divisions.

Selena meanwhile is more chipper thanks to finishing 2020 off so strongly, seeing this year as the year she makes it to the top if you look up her social media training videos along with her stable posting pictures of her with her sparring partners after a hard session with a beaming smile.

So when she spoke to the media in the build up, she did so with a big smile as she told them "I am so ready for this, I'll be honest the doubts started to creep in as people saw me as second fiddle to Jessica (Lowndes) and Minka (Kelly) but I am getting the results now".

When Kaya's words about her are mentioned, Selena chuckles before replying "I guess she woke up the wrong side of the bed that morning, look she is a talented fighter but a sore loser, if she isn't in a good mood then so what, I am here to win and that's all I care about", heading off with a wave.

Fight night, Kaya is out first with her coach Hilary Swank and cut woman Eva Carneiro, she marches down the aisle not looking particularly bothered about the crowd, Hilary looking all business to as clearly they don't want any more setbacks to her title aspirations.

Getting into the ring wearing a blue sports bra with blue and black chequered trunks, black gloves and boots, her hair tied into a ponytail as she steps into her corner, banging her gloves together as she paces in her corner.

Selena heads out to a loud cheer, the ever popular singer is all smiles as she jogs down the aisle, she has friend and coach Eva Mendes following her as both look more relaxed then their opposite numbers in the ring, winning definitely breeds confidence.

Climbing into the ring, Selena is wearing a black sports bra with white trim, matching trunks and shoes, white gloves with her hair also in a ponytail finishes her look, she taps her cheeks as she focuses herself on this task.

The crowd is buzzing as these two stunners meet at the center of the ring, eyes on their opponent as the referee goes through their instructions, even the coaches are staring each other down as these pairings are certainly not friends.

They touch their gloves with their opponent with a hint of respect though, knowing this isn't going to be a cakewalk nobody what they say, back in their corners now ready, the bell rings to start 10 rounds of bantamweight action.

Round 1:
Flicking out jabs to start as they move out their corners, a feeling out process to kick off proceedings as Selena looks more keen to close that gap early to work judging by her feints.

When Selena does try to move in closer, Kaya moves back with a double jab peppering the face of Gomez to ward her off, this happens another two times as Selena nods at Kaya knowing it isn't going to be so easy to step in closer.

After a cagey opening minute, finally Selena finds the key to move in closer as she feints with her left, then moves to Kaya's left to dodge a straight as she hammers in a right hook around the guard of Scodelario, moving in closer to work the body with a left/right hook combo.

Pressing back Kaya to the outside part of the ring, the tempo has certainly been stepped up a notch as Gomez works in two in three punch combos, getting groans from the English rose.

Who pushes her back late in the round, as the American tries to keep crowding Kaya, she walks into a double jab/straight combo that makes her retreat back, with Kaya coming on strong to finish the round on the front foot, it was a good round for both women as they return to their corners.

Round 2:
The tempo has certainly stepped up a notch as both are trading more flurries in the exchanges, Kaya happy to give ground as she throws in a double jab to keep her opponent on the outside, where she looks the more comfortable of the fighters.

But Selena slips a jab to move inside with a right to the chest that opens up Kaya to a left across her cheek, the English actress being knocked onto the ropes, where Selena opens up her elbows to throw in short hooks to the body that makes Kaya grit her mouthpiece.

Pushing back Selena, Kaya has to fight hard to keep Gomez from bullying her so easily, leading to hotly contested exchanges as the crowd is loving the fire off both women, heads getting knocked back as defense is taking a backseat right now to violence.

A right smacks back Kaya as Selena moves inside with two left hooks to the body, before she can throw an uppercut Kaya clinches up with her, the referee needing to step in to break them up as Scodelario gets back to the ring center.

Where like the opener she finishes stronger behind her jab, catching the overly keen Selena coming at her, when the round ends both women head past each other without any incident but judging by Selena banging her gloves together, she is hyped up for this one.

Round 3:
Selena comes out the gates quickly, knocking back Kaya onto her heels with a one-two square into her lips, then going to work on the body as she forces Scodelario into another heated exchange on the inside.

Till Scodelario can nudge back Gomez, the English lass fires in a left cross that turns Selena's head with Kaya now banging in hard shots to the face of the American to turn things around, Selena now being herded around the outside of the ring.

With the opening minute gone by, Kaya is looking good till Selena leans out the way of a right cross, then counters with a straight into the lips of Kaya to cause a little blood to trickle from the bottom lip of Scodelario.

Who is being driven back by a rampaging Selena, who is swinging in hooks and uppercuts, most don't land flush but the ones that do are knocking back her opponent towards the ropes, where Selena can work away with hard shots into the body.

Clinching with Selena, Kaya looks annoyed that she can't keep back this spitfire of a fighter, instead needing the referee to pry them apart so they can fight on, final moments sees Gomez keep Scodelario under wraps up until the bell rings to give another round to the Lioness.

Round 4:
Being told to be more proactive on keeping Selena at range, Kaya hammers in a double jab into her face then moves back as Selena swings in a counter right that finds air, moving in then out seems to be helping Kaya out as Selena is planting her feet when she is throwing punches to try to catch out her opponent.

Some blood starts to now run from the bottom lip of Selena as she takes a pounding double jab/straight into them, banging her gloves together as she then waves Kaya to bring more, Selena showing her toughness as they trade more stiff shots.

Ducking under a straight from Kaya, Selena shows it won't be that easy to keep her back, she hammers in a right to the body, then lands a scything overhand left that knocks back Kaya a step, pressing on the inside Selena is forcing the issue once again.

With less then a minute to go now, Kaya manages to land an uppercut to the body of Selena, then a clubbing left to the side of her head, driving Gomez into a neutral corner as she tries to unload on her, now it's Selena's turn to hold onto her opponent as the fighters press their bodies together in a test of strength.

Broken apart with not much longer to go this round, they go toe to toe to the joy of the crowd, not so much their corner crews, after the bell rings Selena pounds her chest to show she is tougher then Kaya, who shakes her head before they turn to their corners.

Round 5:
Drilling in their punches with more venom behind them, the blood from their bottom lips is starting to run onto their chests, both grimacing when they get hit clean onto their lips, neither wanting to give an inch to their opponent.

Kaya misses with a left cross as she tries to whack back Selena, who counters with a right to the body, then bumps back Scodelario with her left forearm, BEFORE AN UPPERCUT SENDS KAYA ONTO HER BACK!

Selena raises her right arm in the air as she heads to the neutral corner, getting loud cheers from her supporters, 1...2...3... Kaya pushes to her elbows shaking her head to clear her vision, 4...5..6.. She doesn't look too badly hurt as she gets to her knees, 7...8.. Then up to her feet as she raises her fists ready to go.

Back at it the fighters go as Selena is looking for the killing shot, just missing as Kaya moves her head out the way, maybe Selena is buzzing too much from the knockdown as she is taking a few good hits back into her face.

She does manage to drive Kaya onto the ropes, where the English lass clinches with her, both throwing in kidney shots as their will to win is on show, the referee breaking them up so they can continue on but the round comes to an end not long after with Selena getting a pat on her back from Eva.

Round 6:
Selena comes out the gates strong with several good body shots, though she is taking some hits across her beautiful face in response as Kaya shows her grit to not give up ground so easily after the knockdown.

As Gomez is looking for big shot, she is being pestered by that jab of her opponent, with Selena missing with a right hook due to being beaten to the punch as Kaya steps in with a crisp one-two to knock back the American's head.

Growing strong as the round continues, Kaya is making Selena miss more and more as she drills punches into those busted lips of Gomez, making the Lioness cry out as Selena is struggling to pin down Scodelario, making Eva look worried as Selena starts to become more sloppy going for the bigger punches.

An uppercut digs into the breadbasket of Selena to make her hiss out, then a left cross slams onto her jaw as the tables look to have well and truly turned on Selena, who is covering up more as she finds her back touching the ropes.

Final moments sees Selena try to fight her way off the ropes, the crowd whistling and cheering as they get a grandstand finish to this round, both women staring hard at the other when the bell rings, seeing the puffiness of cheeks forming along with those busted lips, looking like two warriors glistening in sweat.

Round 7:
Selena looks to be trying to work out how to get back on top of things after a poor last round, the issue is she is missing more as her timing is off, like she is over thinking things with her attacks.

That is allowing Kaya chances to counter and boy is she taking them with a left cross opening up Selena to an uppercut that rocks her onto her heels, A BARRAGE OF PUNCHES HAMMERS SELENA ONTO THE ROPES BEFORE A RIGHT HOOK ON THE TEMPLE SENDS SELENA ONTO HER RIGHT SIDE!

Wow! The crowd are shocked as the Girls Friday corner jumps for joy, 1...2...3... Selena looks up blinking but looks a little vacant looking, 4...5...6.. Grabbing for the middle rope to her right side, 7...8. Selena is half way up, 9.. When her legs give way looking like jelly, 10 she is counted out!

Winner Kaya Scodelario KO Round 7

After:
A stunning comeback from Scodelario there as she falls to her knees with a big smile on her face, knowing she probably just got out of jail if Selena had picked her punches better when she was on top of things.

Instead Selena has to be helped from her front to her knees by Eva, the ring side doctor checking her as she looks glassy eyed from the temple shot, Eva looking worried as the doctor says they'd like to check her over in the back.

The crowd applaud Selena's efforts as she looks around bewildered by what is happening, that punch definitely took it out of her as she looks lost, Eva acting as a crutch as she helps her to the back.

All the while Kaya doesn't seem to know what's happening as she was back in her corner with her back to what was happening, celebrating with her corner team on another star name added to the list of fighters she has beaten.

Once she turns around she wonders where Selena disappeared to, shrugging her shoulders to show how little she cares about it as she walks to the middle of the ring for her hand to be raised by the referee to cheers from her supporters.

Afterwards she does a lap inside the ring taking in the chants of her supporters, blowing them kisses as Hilary smiles while talking to Eva about it, not really her kind of thing it seems as she shakes her head.

But when they all leave the ring together it is as friends, Eva and Kaya joking about getting her a crown if she is going to do walks like that all the time, Hilary grinning as she listens to it all.
