BEFORE: Former bantamweight champion Nina Dobrev has lost three of the last four but Meghan Markle is one of the most successful free agents in the division so shouldn't be considered a low-hanging fruit by any means. 'The Duchess' racked up five wins in a row before she fell to Luisana Lopilato on the February VIX PPV and that result earned Lopilato a shocking title opportunity so one might argue Markle would be fighting Naomi Scott for the straps tonight had she downed the Argentine opponent instead.

Nina realizes she's not winning the pre-fight publicity battle while Meghan dwells on her controversial image and vows to "f### this Canadian tramp up" which suggests the action will answer the grudge factor demands indeed. The social media hype is very much real as well and this is one place where Dobrev fans actually have the upper-hand!

Nina Dobrev wears a purple bikini set with black trim & black gloves. Long dark brown hair tied in a custom ponytail. Meghan Markle wears a red crop top, matching hip-huggers & silver gloves. Long dark brown hair tied in a loose bun at the back of her head. The fight is scheduled for ten rounds in the bantamweight division.

Round 1:
Meghan gets aggressive early but bounces off the fellow brunette's high-guard and fails to embrace a quick-fire response over the top; Nina wastes no time to smack the older woman straight up the middle and rocks Meghan's head while gradually backing her onto the ropes. However Meghan bails out of the looming hole at the last second and tackles Dobrev from the side. She clatters into her ribcage and tries to find more success downstairs before Nina locks her in a proverbial phone booth and outworks to the body herself. Markle has to clinch the aggressive Canadian but still gets clobbered onto the ropes where Dobrev adds more body harpoons to underline her physical dominance.

Round 2:
Meghan storms into another jabbing drive and this time tags Nina's chin hard enough to prevent the overhand response before plugging the younger brunette in the chest as well. She leans on the Canadian foe and head-butts her in the nose but the frantic body assault makes it hard for the referee to step in which Meghan uses into her advantage as she pounds the briefly stunned rival onto the ropes. Nina swings back from behind the guard but Markle is more effective at this stage and rips more shots into the toned midriff which leaves Dobrev scowling in pain come the two-minute mark. Ugh! Meghan really goes down hard on Nina's body but also clips her with an uppercut double and the former champion can only clinch her late to limit the damage.

Round 3:
Another slugging drive from Markle keeps Dobrev dancing around on her toes early in the third before she finds the overhand response to clatter into the American's face with a vicious power supply. Meghan gets blasted on the nose and wobbles into a chin shot as well before getting sucked into Dobrev's phone booth stance again. This is where Nina feels at ease pounding away to the older brunette's body and Markle tries to shove her away only to eat a brutal hook on the lips that sinks her on wobbly knees on the spot. Nina flies in with another hooking delivery and snaps Meghan's head back & forth while the American trips back onto the ropes where she remains trapped underneath an earmuff defense for remainder of the round.

Round 4:
Nina rattles Meghan from each side but fails to follow through with a chin-checking uppercut and eats a quick drive on the boobs as Meghan gets vocal in her aggressive response. The Duchess seeks another body assault breakthrough but gets pulled by the arm and spun onto the ropes as Nina begins to stamp her physical authority on this contest again. She avoids a looping attack from the visibly upset American and nails her on the nose before driving more leather from the south and busting Markle in the chops outright. Meghan gets trapped butt-in-ropes again and her single-hand response over the top does little to halt Dobrev in her tracks, the former champion lets another hooking combo fly and she cripples Meghan with a double blast on each temple that sinks the LA native into loud spasms at the bell.

Round 5:
Meghan is looking a little battle-weary here and fails to embrace Nina's high-octane jabbing blast that dissects her high-guard during the initial tangle. She swings over the top but cuts thin air and eats a crippling hook from the inside before Dobrev NAILS her with an uppercut double on the jaw! Oh-oh!!! DOWN GOES MARKLE!!! The Duchess slumps onto her knees with a loud whimper and immediately checks up what's with her jawbone! She sits down on her heels but doesn't check out of the fight... too much royal pride at stake!!! She gets up at seven and wants to have another go at Nina but the Canadian stunner blows into her face moments later and bulldozes her onto the turnbuckle in swarming fashion. Ugh! Nina has no plans to let Meghan off the hook and applies the gung-ho pressure that destroys the suspicious defense and has Markle stopping heavy punches with her face alone!!! Ugh! She offers nothing back and goes limp when Nina blasts her across the chin to remove the gumshield into the open!!! AND THE REF JUMPS IN to prevent further damage!!! Ruthless TKO5 Nina Dobrev!!!

AFTER: Meghan slides onto her backside and can't stop aching her heart out while the ref escorts the cheering Nina to her coach Eva Mendes in the opposite corner. Nina really needed this victory if only to remind Boxing World Online she's anything but the third best bantamweight on the LCA roster: "Results are one thing but I fought a much tougher schedule than Minka and Selena! At least I didn't drop out of Top 20 like Demetria! She is really having a hard time lately and I LOVE it!" (giggles).
