BEFORE: Odette Yustman doesn't quite qualify for JMD action but Samantha Hoopes still wants to blow her away in standard rules: "Look, Odette is a top shelf name around the league but she got floored by Hannah Brown last year. Yeah, I'd say she's lost her elite durability and bendiness. You can very much punch right through her these days. And this where I come in! Don't focus on my record too much, I'm ready to claim the biggest scalp of my career so let's make it official!"

Meanwhile Odette realizes a difficult 2020 season has dropped her stock to the point she's viewed as a career-changing target by someone like Samantha Hoopes - an elite jug muggin' talent who'd be better off staying away from genuine non-JMD hype based on her mediocre overall record. Then again Samantha enjoys backing from the legendary Chimera manager - Ms Ginny herself - which raises the expectations for her by default.
Odette knocked out a dangerous prospect Cara Delevingne back in February but Hoopes represents a more physical boxing style and some fans believe she can cause serious trouble despite leaving her JMD comfort zone for the first time since 2016.

Round 1:
Samantha wants to smash Odette with a head-hunting blast but she finds the brunette too mobile for her charge early in the going; Odette doesn't even have to throw a punch here to make the blonde look silly in her fruitless approach and even Chimera coach Sofia Vergara loses her patience once she realizes Hoopes has blown her gasket way too prematurely... and then it gets worse as Yustman applies the counter-punching charge and nails Samantha on both temples before looping a powerful bomb into her nose as well. Samantha is more used to getting hit to the chest and she struggles to embrace the head-hunting menace; Odette remains sublime in her footwork and has a field day exposing the blonde's leaky high-guard come the final minute before she pummels her butt-in-ropes and Hoopes has to clinch the brunette in the closing seconds to tame the onslaught.

Round 2:
Odette waits for the ineviteable charge but this time Samantha steers her efforts on target in more efficient fashion and catches the brunette on each temple before holding off the counter-punching attempt by blasting the older woman on the nose. Odette slumps to her heels and gets drilled to the body as Samantha follows a familiar route and rips a vicious dose of gut shots to drive her opponent onto the ropes. Yustman gets deprived of her prime mobility asset and can only match the blonde in the phone booth stance but doesn't carry enough power and gets outworked by Hoopes who presses her 34D set to neutralize the brunette wholesale. LCA coach Claudia Schiffer can do nothing about Odette getting trapped in Samantha's favorable playground but the former lightweight champion limits the damage by clinching the blonde into a lenghty stalemate in the final thirty odd seconds.

Round 3:
More back & forth swinging in the opening minute as Odette stays clear of Samantha's close range approach but doesn't punish her with all those overhand attempts either. Meanwhile Hoopes doesn't look so desperate anymore and keeps her composure while trying to smoke the brunette with a proper haymaker. The action descends into a cagey tactical affair until Sofia Vergara breaks up in the Chimera corner and urges the blonde to do something about it. Samantha still can't match Odette's mobility but leaves her circling backwards for remainder of the round which could be enough to secure the artistic impression value for lack of better options. Odette shrugs her shoulders when coach Schiffer wants her to be more aggressive going forward while Samantha sounds frustrated she's unable to punch the brunette up her cleavage which seems to be the designed Chimera tactics.

Round 4:
Samantha jumps into an initial head-hunting swing but shoots over Yustman's head and gets clobbered to the body herself with the brunette dropping crisp harpoons until she wobbles the blonde to the side. Samantha is used to getting hit down there so doesn't bail out of the exchange and Odette has to double down on her attacks to secure the upper-hand. She tears into the blonde's navel before digging a stray elbow in her rack as well... Hoopes swings a cross from the back foot but wilts under the steady jug muggin' pressure as Odette dwarfs the blonde with her own weapon in the second minute. Samantha circles away from the brunette's range thereafter but still want to smack her back before the bell only to find the counter-punching assault too precise for her liking. Odette slams a left/right cross on the mouth and drives another booming hook on the nose that wobbles the blonde onto the turnbuckle late... Samantha's last-ditch response finds nothing but thin air so Yustman blasts her across the mouth again and leaves the blonde nursing a fat lower lip at the bell.

Round 5:
Things are looking bleak for the Chimera fighter but she jumps into a head-hunting blast and prevents Odette from working her to the body again. It's an all or nothing kind of attack and while Yustman owns the superior mobility, she still gets caught on the ear and wobbles forward to meet a brutal uppercut thunder that slams her flush on the jaw. Samantha doubles down and rips a right hand into the solar plexus and suddenly has the older woman yelping in pain... another right cross tears a small gash under the left eye before a left hook tags the temple AND SENDS ODETTE CRASHING DOWN ON HER BACKSIDE!!! Sofia Vergara is the loudest person in the arena as she's ready to climb the ropes in joy however Yustman doesn't give up the ghost and battles back to her feet at seven. She wipes the blood off the gash under the eye and vows to jump back at the blonde foe only to meet a jabbing buzzsaw that reels her onto the ropes in a hurry. Samantha powers ahead with a blitzing attack from both flanks, she shatters the brunette's high-guard and then THUMPS her breasts as well to the point Yustman cries out in pain and bellows out on top of the ropes with her eyes closed. AND THE REF PULLS HOOPES OFF HER PREY to halt the contest just past the two-minute mark!!! Huge TKO5 Samantha Hoopes!!!

AFTER: Cue in those Hannah Brown flashbacks as Odette has to swallow another bitter pill of defeat against a lower-ranked opponent. Samantha chalks up the biggest win of her career and didn't even have to go full-JMDD to achieve that! No wonder she's over the moon and celebrates the victory by twerking her booty in the center of the ring. Sofia Vergara joins her in action and there's every chance the Chimera entourage will enjoy a bottle of tequila during the VIP afterparty. Moreover Samantha vows to return to proper jug muggin' action before too long and hopes the Yustman scalp will finally silence the naysayers: "I've got waaay too much talent to be considered a second-tier fighter! It's about time I crushed some of these scrubs one way or another! You have been warned!" (giggles).
