DANIELLE CAMPBELL VS LINDSAY LOHAN

Results: Lookout Writing: Archer

Danielle: 24 YO, 5’3 (1.60 m), 21-11-0, 21 KO since 2014, Pretty Little Punchers

Lindsay: 33 YO, 5’5 (1.65 m), 52-40-1, 43 KO since 2004, Global Boxing Syndicate

Before: “I have seen a lot of starlets come and go around here,” Lindsay Lohan says. “Dani is fortunate that she was signed early by the Punchers. Steady management helps. I sholdkow I have had several managers over the years. I am very comfortable with GBS. I am also very comfortable fighting on the beach. I am looking forward to showing I still have what it takes to win.”

“I am glad to be taking on a veteran like Lindsay Lohan,” says Danielle. “I like beach fighting. I’ve done well against younger fighters like Zoey Deutch and SammiHanratty. I beat Sarah Shahi on the beach last year. I want to show I can win against a beach veteran like Lindsay. So this fight is important to me. I want to win.”

Interesting attire choices for the two fighters. Lindsay comes to the ring in a blue one piece trimmed in red with a deep vee-neckline. She accompanied by GBS trainer Daisy Fuentes and spokesperson Lisa Guerrero. Blue gloves with hair pulled back and secured by a blue ribbon. Danielle has opted for a conservative gray one piece with white gloves and hair in a simple ponytail. PLP trainer Nia Peeples and spokesperson Autumn Reeser

“Your grandmother pick out that suit?” Lindsay heard to inquire as she meets DC at mid-ring.

“I wanted to show I am not just some beach bunny—and don’t you think that outfit is a little young for you,” Danielle tries to gibe back.

“I am very happy with it,” Lindsay retorts.

The referee impatiently clears his throat: “How about we drop the fashion discussion and get to the part about my ring instructions so you two can actually box.”

“Sorry,” the two fighters say and the ring instructions proceed smoothly. Lindsay and Dani ta gloves and go to their corners. The bell rings.

R1: Lilo across the sand with practiced ease and goes hammering her way in against Dani. Dani feeling the pressure, struggling to deploy her ja as Lindsay crowds in on her, Lindsay working DC hard in the belly and driving her back. Dani finally tries to scramble to one side to escape the pressure, but Lilo swings with her and gets a cracking let into DC’s jaw. Dani struggling to keep her feet bangs into the ropes. Lindsay on her, pounding away at Danielle’s side as she struggles to get off the ropes, but Lindsay not letting her escape. DC finally just wraps Lindsay up in a bear hug which obliges referee to separate them. Lilo wastes no time in resuming the attack. Dani finally getting her jab going as she they battle along the ropes, but Lindsay’s punching DC mostly to the body. Final shot at the bell catches Dani on the side of the head throws her against the ropes and leaves her clinging to the top rope. Lindsay looks over the shaken younger woman with satisfaction before heading for her corner. Dani is a lot slower getting to her corner.

R2: Danielle seems to shake off the rough treatment she got from Lindsay in the opening round as she comes out punching. However Lindsay is punching right back and the two fighters maneuver across the sandy ring as they fire away. Lindsay going for Danielle to the stomach and ribs, but Danielle seems drawn to punching Lilo’s impressive rack. Lindsay calm under jugg-fire and jabs back into DC’s smaller chest with answering power. Danielle not liking this, swings around to the side and smacks in a heaving right to the side of Lilo’s head. Lindsay staggers away, but quickly recovers and catches DC on the chin with a fast right jab. Dani back on her heels, but shakes it off in time to greet Lilo coming back at her. They battle away in close and Lindsay is trying to push Danielle back, but DC hooks her hard in the belly and Lilo falls back. Dani tries to follow, but time runs out as the bell rings. Danielle and Lindsay give each other determined looks before going to their corners. Judges say it’s close, but Dani Campbell wins it on their cards.

R3: Lindsay and Danielle move out to mid-ring and after a bit of circling and probing punches they attack each other to the head. Smacking blows to the side of the head and into the jaw from both fighters, but Lilo seems to keep her head clearer. She coolly strikes at DC to the belly with the next flurry of punches which send Dani falling back all bent over. Lindsay keeping up the pressure as she steers DC into the ropes. Danielle trying to fight this off, but now Lilo stuns her with a solid right uppercut. Dani falls back into the ropes with Lilo on top of her. Dani clinches to force a break, but she finds herself jabbing hard as once again she and Lindsay fight along the ropes. Dani jabs with desperation and it does keep Lindsay at bay, but she is looking dominated as the round ends in a wide win for Lindsay Lohan.

R4: Lilo looking confident as she comes out for the new round. DC looking determined to get back in this fight. Explosion of punching as they clash in the center of the ring. Danielle bobbing and weaving, trying to find openings while evading the incoming from Lindsay. Lindsay going for the head, but not landing squarely. Then Dani finds Lindsay’s chin with a rising right uppercut she brings up from her crouch. BAM! Lindsay is caught flush by the uppie and she goes reeling backwards. DC springs forward in pursuit bringing rights and lefts smashing into Lindsay’s jaw. Lindsay stumbles back into the ropes and Dani unleashes a clouting right to the jaw. DOWN GOES LILO! Lindsay topples sideways next to the ropes and lies there limply. Dani trots to the neutral corner and watches as the referee counts. Lindsay starts to move. She grabs the nearby ring ropes and tries to pull herself up using them. Unfortunately, when Lindsay tries to get her legs to cooperate, they give way she is dropped to all fours. She looks up in misery at the referee who counts:

“NINE!...TEN!...YOU’RE OUT!”

THE WINNER DANIELLE CAMPBELL DEFEATS LINDSAY LOHAN KO4.

After: “I feel great now that I won,” Danielle tells reporters after the fight. “I admit I was worried about Lindsay and she did give me trouble, but I kept calm and look for my chances. I got them in R4 and put her down. I think I have now proved I can be as good on the sand as I am on canvas.”

Lindsay Lohan understandably subdued the outcome: “I might have underestimated her. I was sure I had her beat after R3, but she came back and found a weak spot. Next thing I know I’m on the sand and being counted out. Not what I wanted at all. I need to do a lot better next time.”

Good win for Danielle Campbell who accomplished her goal of showing she can beat experienced beach fighters. A young fighter needs confidence and this win should give it to her. A setback for Lindsay Lohan as she tries to prove herself under her new management. She will need to put this loss behind her and get a win in her next time out or the pressure will only get worse.
