Before: "Sure, I was advised not to take this fight at this time," Adrianne admits with a shrug. "But I told my guys: 'I don't turn down challenges from name fighters. Ever.' Tricia's a name - you don't know when you'll get the chance at her again. She's looking to nip me in the bud - I know that: but you gotta take this risk if you're me. Finding her's gonna be the hard part: if I get there, I'll hurt her." Helfer nothing but complimentary in her comments. "I've been watching Adrianne, and I don't know if I would favour myself as much as you guys apparently do," Trish chuckles. "The kid is as dangerous as they come. Sure she's green, but that's actually making her a little more unpredictable and powerful with her strokes, because Adrianne will take chances a more experienced fighter wouldn't. I need to make her pay when she does that, and I need to be careful: I know Pallicki can hurt anyone in the division, and I don't want to find out how much sock she's packing!" Tricia in metallic baby blue bikini; platinum blonde BSG hair; white gloves. Adrianne in silver/white satin camisol (spaghetti strapped) cut at the hip; bare tummy; gold bikini bottoms; white gloves; devil-may-care blonde tousle. Girls touch gloves at ring instructions - Helfer nodding in acknowledgment.

During R1: Helfer obviously watching tape of Cat Bell jumping on healthy young punchers early in fights: Trish comes out BLAZING! Stiff laft jab startles Adrainne early, setting her up for a pair of crashing right hands to chin - Trish snarling, leaning forward as Pallicki staggers back. More strafing right hands slash across Adrianne's face, punching her to ropes. Helfer stepping-to, getting lanky to Pallicki's ribs and belly with galloping lefts and rights - long arms lashing succulent to body. Pallicki in swoon, reels forward off ropes with a wild left: Trish easily leans away from it, pivoting right to expose Adrianne's left flank, pouring over Pallicki's left shoulder with more slinging right hand thunder. Adrianne blasted behind her ear - slugged into the adjacent set of ropes: she's a stumbling, confused beauty, catching a beatdown from an elegant tigress. Leggy pursuit from Helfer: again she closes, licks lanky to midsection with shoulders rolling, arms thrashing - then she sidesteps as Adrianne once again hurtles forward. Careening action as Helfer routinely turns the Pallicki left flank, then drills her righty: Adrianne punched round the ring like a slender blonde Rocky. Pallicki pasted, battered pilar to post: despite reeling retreats and torrid chin-checks, youngster keeps her feet - albeit slumping plenty against ropes as Tricia's whaling at her. Bell: Pallicki's lips parted, blonde tousle in her eyes - she's just swaying in the wind. Helfer breathing hard, struts sinuously away, trailing her left hand across Adrianne's belly as she passes by. 10-8 without the knockdown, for the sheer dominance displayed.

R2: Tricia's got her respect, settles down to pick Adrianne apart methodical. Sliding pivots to the right - Trish dragging her left (front) foot, keeping the jab in Adrianne's face, looking for those sleek, slinging rights in over Pallicki's left shoulder. Adrianne turned and finessed midring: by the final minute (sixth minute of the fight) she lands her first punches - jabs against Tricia's chest, in trade for right hands on the button. Bell: Helfer giving her young foe a heartless looking over, measuring the kid's reserves.

R3: Shutout Tricia Helfer. If you like to see a sinuous, long limbed and leanly muscled blonde circling stunned prey, picking at it with pinpoint left hands, then leaning in to stroke it righty - you're in heaven. Pallicki blinking in stupor, turning on the spot as Tricia slinks counterclockwise, always getting angles for the shafting right. Adrianne's face lumping up nicely, nose bleeding, head kicking back from the sudden jolt of Tricia's jab: Pallicki proving a trooper, but not getting off at all. Helfer's eyes calm, thoughtful - feet spread wide - lean, sleek lines never better expressed as she circles in gliding pivots, slashing in at will.

R4: Shutout Tricia Helfer: she's lissome blonde poetry this round. Pallicki groggy, turning midring, facing into punishment. Same patient tempo from Tricia - she's got this, she's working her girl, touching her up - old salts in the audience nodding knowingly as veteran plies her craft. 3 to 6 jabs generally precede the sliding right hand: Tricia leaning in, fetching it supple over Adrianne's left shoulder to smite her jaw. Pallicki put wobbly butt at times, but young legs proving robust: she's soaking it up well, keeping her hands up best she can as Helfer punches for points.

R5: Pallicki busted up, shabby, but she's engaging this round, forcing her jab through to Tricia's chest. Helfer slinking about, supple at the waist as she slow-rolls her torso. Trish still drilling at Pallicki, but Adrianne answering - youngster establishing a swinging hook to locate Helfer's ribs. Down the stretch, Adrianne able to come forward behind overhand rights and rising lefts. Rangy, raw-boned punching forcing Helfer to ropes: she's under pressure, slipping shots, sliding along the cables as Adrianne works hard to get on the board.

R6: Tricia restores order, working behind her jab, keeping her distance. Adrianne more active in defence - bobbing, parrying shots - she's trying to work her way forward, despite catching the odd spearing poke to face. All Helfer till final minute: Adrianne mounting another spirited advance behind the overhand right/rising left combo: Helfer forced to ropes under thumping rib-work. RIGHT HAND, ADRIANNE PALLICKI! Shower of sweat sprays from Tricia's head as it swivels on impact: Helfer's lean body loosens - she wilts forward, draping herself around Adrianne's head and shoulders in desperate clinch. Pallicki pushing at Helfer's stomach, trying to shove free: wily veteran hangs on for dear life as her legs go numb.

R7: Pallicki counter-attack now gaining traction: Tricia uncertain, hurt, shying away rather than aggressively turning her foe. Adrianne stalking - ranging in with the jab, leaning in with the overhand right, cleaning up Tricia's ribs that rising, robust left. Minute mark, Adrianne steps-with as Helfer's moving to her own right: sweeping right hand finds Tricia's cheek: Trish rolls-with, taking the edge off, but scatters to ropes in disarray. HERE COMES ADRIANNE! Pallicki striding in, mauling Tricia with the same brutal over-under swinging assault. Rangy slugging beats Helfer to her right along ropes - she's cringing, blocking, rolling shots, but clearly taking a dreadful beating. Tricia pursued to all four corners along ropes: she's sneaking little lead right hands onto Adrianne's chin, swiping her hooks - just enough offence to keep Pallicki from really pinning her ears back.

8: Tricia mouthbreathing, a little ragged, but she rallies, firming behind her jab and still springy footwork. Helfer mixing it up a little - sliding to either side, using feints to shake Adrianne's pursuit. Youngster buying in, getting bamboozled: she's often sidestepped pretty as Helfer ducks in under the potent Pallicki right to move round her right flank. Helfer trailing either hand across Pallicki's belly on the sidesteps, neatly turning the younger woman and drawing her into clinches: Adrianne vexed and bewitched this round, can't get good leather on elusive Helther in the 8th.

R9: Tricia with another strong first minute, but fading under Palicki's relentless, torrid onslaught. Adrianne leaning in with overhand rights - pounding at Tricia's scalp or shoulders: even when blocked, Adrianne's able to move Tricia. Left hands scouring the svelte Helfer ribcage; digging at those flat abs - Tricia breathing hard, wincing during a steady, demoralizing retreat. Helfer's slick, cute rolling slips and radar-like reflexes help her blunt the worst of it, but Adrianne's pressure carries round 9.

R10: Walking barrage Pallicki sweeps Helfer to ropes: Tricia clubbed about her temples, beaten savagely in tender ribs. Helfer sliding into corners, then fighting cute from there: sliding lead rights, swiping lefts pre-empt Adrianne as she tries to close. Pallicki pelted, but refusing to give away position: she's back at Tricia with thumping vengeance - beating away at ribcage with right/left roundhouses in concert. All too much for Trish: gasping, she clinches, tying up behind Adrianne's elbows. Pallicki struggling in the grasp, straining to jam older blonde into turnbuckles and make Trish take weight: strong final round sees Adrianne smear her foe against ropes, piling on the punishment whether wrestling or slugging. Comes back UD10 single point: Tricia Helfer.

After: Some boos from Pallicki's fans as the women hug/converse midring after a draining see-saw affair. Helfer winning more minutes overall and dominating early, but Adrianne stronger down the stretch, clearly hurting Helfer throughout the last half: both sides have plenty of ammunition for debate. "Oh my God, she's strong," A banged up Trish says in postfight, left arm still dangling 'round Adrianne's shoulders. "I jumped her early - I knew she was a puncher and I wanted to take her confidence away and get her hurt ("You did!" Pallicki pipes up) but I couldn't get her to give in. Mentally, she never stopped fighting, and once her second wind kicked in...whew, I was in it for sure!" Adrianne badly busted up courtesy Tricia's heartless precision, but wearily upbeat in postfight, riding her right arm 'round Helfer's waist. "She's tougher than she looks," Adrianne admits. "I thought once I hurt her, she'd blow away, but Tricia doesn't give in like that. Plus - she's hard to hit clean. Lots of times I thought I was tagging her, and she'd just roll her shoulder or turn her head with the shot and she'd soak it all up. That's why I stayed on her ribs late. 'Least there, I knew I was getting into her good." Great fight for both women: Helfer ekes out a tough, tough duke; Pallicki shows she can compete with even the slickest boxers at light.
