BEFORE:

"I'm really surprised," says Zoe, "That they brought me in here to fight a relative newbie. I mean, I've BEATEN girls, you know? I'm not who they want to feed this kid. Unless they want to feed her to the sharks."

"She's got more experience than me," Meg admits with a nod. "But. I'm good enough to beat her. And, I'm going to prove it."

ROUND ONE:

O'Dell: "Back at ringside and that's 'Time to Be Awesome', and the singer of that tune, the lovely Zoe Saldana, is headed for the ring."

Tess: "Saldana isn't wrong about having beaten girls in the past. But, she's had six fights since 2012, one each year from 2014 to 2019. And, she's lost all six. Her last win was in 2011."

O'Dell: "Zoe into the ring and helped off with the robe. And, taking a look at her in that white number, it's hard to believe she turned 42 earlier this month..."

McCarthy: "Not bad. Of course, SHE isn't the one who's been ranked in the Top Twenty TWICE at AGE 47! That would be The Greatest Fighting Playmate of All Time!"

Cassie: "Truck. Send out a new headset for Mac. Her swelling head broke it again..."

McCarthy: "YOU LITTLE..."

O'Dell: "Now, calm down, Mac, and enjoy one of your favorite Asylum songs. That's 'BAAM' by the lovely young lady heading to the ring right now, 'The Peapack Punisher', Meg Donnelly!"

Tess: "Donnelly off to a very good start for Front Street. But. She has a LOT of competition in the Front Street flyweight division."

Cassie: "Yes. She does."

O'Dell: "Meg into the ring and helped off with the robe by Jewel and Neve. She's wearing that yellow number she prefers. And the crowd liking it. A lot. Ladies about ready. Time for some picks. Tess likes Donnelly. Mac?"

McCarthy: "Zoe can fight. Donnelly is a Dancing Hooker. Saldana!"

O'Dell: "Cassie?"

Cassie: "I agree with Tess!"

O'Dell: "And, we're underway. The veteran brunette has some height and reach and she's using both early. She's getting her jab on, looking to keep the younger blonde at bay. Meg moving well, trying to work past, angle, get to spots where she can get punches on..."

Cassie: "Going to be tricky for Donnelly if Zoe keeps getting that jab in her face."

O'Dell: "No question about it, but Meg able to negotiate that pretty well right now. She's holding her own, despite her rival's edge in reach. Donnelly patient and sound. Saldana getting into a pretty good rhythm. She's getting punches put together, scoring with both hands."

Tess: "Donnelly giving close to as good as she's getting, but, maybe not quite."

O'Dell: "Agreed. It's been a close round throughout, but, as we head into the final seconds, Zoe's got the advantage and she's putting that jab on, keeping Meg at bay. Five seconds left. And Saldana will jab the round away. There's the bell. Close to Zoe and the veteran has the 10-9 lead."

ROUND TWO:

O'Dell: "Second verse, same as the first. Ladies at range with Zoe trying to enforce distance with the jab. Meg moving the feet even more now. She's not looking to close, just get to spots where she can get off. And, when she does, she's getting off quickly and accurately."

Cassie: "That's the key. Don't waste time. Get where you want to be and get the hands going."

O'Dell: "And, that's what the blonde's doing. Zoe, meanwhile, continuing to work the left, follow on with hard right hands. She's not as quick as her younger rival, but she's far more experienced and she's using that to her advantage. Not a lot in it at the moment, Mac..."

McCarthy: "Saldana's just setting this kid up. Sooner or later, BOOM!"

O'Dell: "Twenty seconds to go in a very competitive second. Zoe with a solid combination and Meg bangs back with one of her own. Saldana back to the jab, peppering Meg. Donnelly angles, lands another combination and there's the bell. Nothing at all in it this time. Even."

Tess: "Leaving Zoe up 20-19."

ROUND THREE:

O'Dell: "Ladies continuing to get their respective boxes on, and I've got to admit, I'm pretty impressed with the blonde here. She's in against a much more experienced girl and dealing with a reach disadvantage, but she's handling it pretty well. Getting where she needs to be and getting off."

Tess: "I remember when people thought Front Street's flyweight division was a weakness..."

Cassie: "Past. Tense."

O'Dell: "Zoe jabbing, landing a solid right. Meg slipping forward and LANDING A HARD COMBINATION! That shook Saldana! Now the blonde letting the hands go! She's backing Zoe up with a barrage of punches and a RIGHT HOOK SENDS THE BRUNETTE TO THE CANVAS!"

Cassie: "NASTY shot!"

O'Dell: "Zoe down on her right side. Meg quickly to a neutral corner. Count at three. Four. Five. Saldana rolling to hands and knees at six. Crawling to the ropes. Seven. Eight. Trying to pull herself up. Nine. TEN! It's OVER! Zoe still trying to climb the ropes as the count passes her by and it's OVER! And your winner by KO3 is Meg Donnelly!"

McCarthy: "Lucky. Punch!"

AFTER:

O'Dell: "Let's go up to the ring and Tess Valmore!"

Tess: "I have our winner, Meg Donnelly, and, Meg, wow. That came out of nowhere!"

Meg (nodding): "This is what Britney tells me every day. Just fight your fight. The openings will come. And, when they do, take advantage. I saw one. And I took advantage."

Tess: "Flyweight division around here is plenty crowded..."

Meg (smiling): "Yeah. Not easy to get noticed. But. Win fights, and it'll happen."
