BEFORE:

"Let's face it," says Jaimie with a shake of the head, "Hill got LUCKY on New Year's Eve. Well. Perry's a better fighter than Hill, sure. But, Katy's luck is about to run out."

"This girl is no joke," says Katy with a nod. "She's a top lightweight. But. I'm THE top lightweight, as she's about to find out."

ROUND ONE:

O'Dell: "Back at ringside and that's 'You Shook Me All Night Long' by AC/DC and here comes the lovely Jaimie Alexander!"

McCarthy: "And, Perry's not wrong about Alexander. She's a legit lightweight. And, I'll say the same thing I said back in December. No idea how SHE got on this card, since she's not a tomato can."

O'Dell: "Jaimie into the ring and helped off with the robe to reveal that red number we saw back in December, and she still looks plenty good in it six months later. And, that's 'California Gurls' you hear hammering through the arena, and here comes 'The Santa Barbara Slugger', Katy Perry!"

Cassie: "And, believe it or not, as highly-ranked as Perry is, SHE hasn't secured a spot on the Tenth Anniversary roster...."

Tess: "Good point, BFF. And, that makes this a VERY big fight for Ms. Perry."

O'Dell: "Katy into the ring and helped off with the robe by Jewel and Neve. And, we're going to have dueling red bikinis in this one, and I'm not sure who's wearing it better..."

McCarthy: "Neither of these girls are BAD, but, neither are 'PLAYBOY' material..."

Cassie: "HERE we go..."

McCarthy: "SHUT UP, SCABBO!"

O'Dell (sighing): "Ladies about ready, and that means it's time for some picks. Tess likes Perry. Mac?"

McCarthy: "Tough call, but I'm going with Perry."

O'Dell: "Cassie?"

Cassie: "I agree with Tess!"

O'Dell: "Here we go. Ladies to range immediately and Alexander using that length to score with the jab. Perry looking to respond in kind, but Jaimie's got the range and the geometry down right now, and it's playing for her. She's getting the left on, following on with hard rights..."

Cassie: "Got into rhythm quickly, and that's important with Katy. Slow start against her and it might be a short night."

O'Dell: "Alexander's got everything firing, that's for sure. She's preempting Perry at the moment, not letting the former champion get anything going offensively, which is also a good way to remain competitive against a fighter like Katy, isn't it, Mac?"

McCarthy: "No doubt. Get in gear and keep her OUT of gear."

O'Dell: "And, that's what Jaimie's done here in the first. Twenty seconds to go. Alexander another nice combination, forces Katy to cover up. Perry lands a nice right hand counter, her best punch of the fight so far, but it's too little, too late for the first. There's the bell. Jaimie and solidly."

Tess: "And Alexander's up 10-9"

ROUND TWO:

O'Dell: "Back to work at range. Ladies snapping out those jabs, working the right hands off them. Perry starting to get the geometry down now, beginning to get her own offense rolling for the first time, and Alexander continuing to score with both hands. Good, two-way action here, ladies..."

Tess: "And, quickly paced, too. Lots of volume."

O'Dell: "No doubt about it, and some of that leather is of the sharp variety. Nobody hurt so far, but plenty of 'get your attention' stuff is both being thrown and landed. Nobody getting a real advantage here. Both fighters scoring, and both also playing pretty good defense..."

Cassie: "No doubt about it. Head, hands, feet, all moving."

O'Dell: "And, still the ladies able to get leather on target. Just fifteen seconds to go in a very, very close second round. Good combination by Perry and ALEXANDER RESPONDS with a sharp flurry of her own and there's the bell. Nothing in it at all. That's an even round."

McCarthy: "And Alexander still leads 20-19."

ROUND THREE:

O'Dell: "Third begins with more ranged boxing. Both ladies comfortable at this distance, both moving and jabbing well, putting punches together, showing the kind of boxing you sometimes don't see at these higher weights, but, these two are athletic and skilled enough to do it."

McCarthy: "Neither of these two are in Palicki's class!"

O'Dell: "Good combination by Jaimie right there. And Perry tosses right back and we've got ourselves a firefight in the middle of the ring! Both girls letting the hands go, trying to impose will and there's a BLISTERING right from Perry and DOWN GOES ALEXANDER!"

Cassie: "Aaaannnddd, that'll do it..."

O'Dell: "Perry to a neutral corner. Alexander flat on her back in the Maltese Cross position, not moving at all. Referee's count at three. Four. Five. This is as academic as it can be, because Jaimie got absolutely CLOCKED. Seven. Eight. Nine. TEN! It's OVER! And your winner by KO3 is 'The Santa Barbara Slugger', Katy Perry!"

AFTER:

O'Dell: "Let's go up to the ring and Tess Valmore!"

Tess: "I have our winner, Katy Perry, and, Katy, I haven't seen a bigger punch landed in a LONG time..."

Katy (nodding): "Yeah. I caught her pretty clean with it. I mean, I didn't figure she was getting up. And, if she did, I don't know how you could keep her down."

Tess: "And, we know what's next for you..."

Katy (smiling): "Oh, you know, Tess, I'm always looking to get that gold back. Always."
