BEFORE:

"She's a top lightweight, no doubt," says Jaimie with a nod. "Well. So am I. So, let's lace up the gloves and see what happens."

"She's definitely a top lightweight," says Gemma. "And, I look forward to testing myself against her. But. I AM going to pass that test."

ROUND ONE:

O'Dell: "Back and ringside and that's 'You Shook Me All Night Long' by AC/DC and here comes the lovely Jaimie Alexander!"

McCarthy: "And, like I've said before, she's no tomato can. She's beaten good fighters. Not sure how she keeps getting booked HERE..."

O'Dell: "Jaimie wasting no time getting down the aisle and into the ring. She's helped off with the robe and the crowd clearly impressed by how she looks in that red number we've seen before. And, that's 'London Calling' by The Clash you hear hammering through the arena, and that can only mean that 'The Gravesend Gladiator', Gemma Arterton is on her way to the ring!"

Tess: "Arterton definitely in line for a lightweight title shot from what we've heard..."

Cassie: "And, you've heard correctly..."

Tess: "But, she needs to hold serve here if she wants that to happen."

O'Dell: "Gemma into the ring and helped off with the robe by Jewel and Neve, and she's looking good as always in that violet number she likes. Ladies about ready. Time for some picks. Tess likes Gemma. Mac?"

McCarthy: "Alexander is no Typical Dancing Hooker Opponent. She'll win!"

O'Dell: "Cassie?"

Cassie: "I agree with Tess!"

O'Dell: "Here we go. Ladies going to set up at range and get their box on, and that's not a surprise, considering both are rangy and have good power. Lot of recon happening at the moment, as the fighters probe with the left, looking for space for the right hand..."

Cassie: "Plenty of respect being shown, as it should be. Both of these girls can hit."

O'Dell: "Sure can, and both are aware of that. GOOD right from Gemma there and Jaimie responds with a solid combination that forces Arterton to cover up. Alexander following up with another good flurry, and Gems bangs back, landing a hard right hand to the head..."

Tess: "Recon time looks to be over."

O'Dell: "Sure does. We're into the final thirty seconds of the opening round. Not a lot in it right now. Good exchange there and both fighters landed a hard right hand. Five seconds left. Good right hand from Jaimie and there's the bell. Very, very close, but Alexander's round."

McCarthy: "And, Jaimie has the 10-9 lead."

ROUND TWO:

O'Dell: "Second underway with the ladies right back at range, boxing, and showing plenty of skill doing it. Alexander VERY athletic, moving well, getting to spots, getting off, and GETTING ROCKED! Right hand from Gemma and Jaimie is GOBSMACKED, stumbling backward and covering up..."

Tess: "Did very well to stay on her feet. That was a BOMB."

O'Dell: "And, Gemma's got more where that came from. She's backing Alexander to the ropes and then getting off with both hands. Arterton working body, then back upstairs. Jaimie tying up, hanging on, going to get a break from the ref and Gemma right back after her..."

McCarthy: "Just needs to ride this out..."

O'Dell: "That's what she's trying to do. Gems not making it easy. She's firing flurry after flurry at the listing SS Alexander, but Jaimie hanging on. She's backed to the ropes and taking again, but, we're down to five seconds. Good left hook from Gems, and there's the bell. Arterton, wide, but Alexander survives."

Cassie: "And, we're even at 19."

ROUND THREE:

O'Dell: "British beauty in control as we start the third. Jaimie's legs not back yet, and Gems taking full advantage, walking her down behind that heavy 'Front Street Jab'..."

McCarthy: "It's a JAB! Every fighter in the WORLD has a JAB! Why do we have to name a JAB after Weirdo and SKID ROW BOXING???"

Cassie: "Because the Front Street Jab is different..."

McCarthy: "HOW?"

Cassie: "It's a HEAVY jab that we teach at Front Street...one Uncle Wiz learned from George Foreman..."

McCarthy: "YOU are full of it and so is WEIRDO!"

O'Dell (sighing): "Coming down the stretch in the third. Arterton in full control. She's using that hard, straight left..."

Tess: "Nice diplomacy, Jenny..."

O'Dell: "I just want to get to the end of this card and that bottle from Pointy's cellar. Arterton backing up Alexander. Jaimie holding canvas a bit more as we enter the final seconds. Has the legs back under her, but it's too late for the third. There's the bell, and it's Arterton wide again."

Tess: "And, Gems pulls into a 29-28 lead."

ROUND FOUR:

O'Dell: "Ranged boxing the name of the game in this one, and both brunettes back to it here in the fourth. Alexander's got those gams back under her, and she's moving well, slipping, dipping, getting to spots, getting off in combination. Gems responding in kind."

Tess: "Really good stuff right now."

O'Dell: "Sure is. Good, two-way boxing with neither fighter able to grab control of things. Instead, we're seeing good flurries from both brunettes. Nobody hurt, but there's no question there's plenty of power behind that leather. GOOD right from Jaimie there, backed Gems up a step."

Cassie: "Both of these fighters are plenty sturdy. Shipping a lot of heavy shell."

O'Dell: "Twenty seconds left in a very competitive fourth. Sharp exchange and sweat flying as both fighters, again, landed some good shot. Jaimie circles, snaps out the left, follows with a solid right and there's the bell. Very, very close in this one, but Alexander getting the points."

McCarthy: "And, we're even again, this time at 38."

ROUND FIVE:

O'Dell: "Fifth begins like the fourth ended, with the ladies boxing at range. Both getting some work done, getting the left on target, following on with right hands and there's a GOOD RIGHT HAND from Jaimie! That one backed up Gemma and now Alexander letting the hands go..."

McCarthy: "Arterton may not be hurt, but she's buzzed..."

O'Dell: "Looks that way. Jaimie loading up, backing up her rival again and again, sensing a chance to grab control of this thing...or do even more than that. Gemma firing back in counter here and there, staying off the ropes, but she's in retreat as Alexander presses her advantage..."

Tess: "Alexander really sitting down on stuff..."

O'Dell: "Definitely is. We've got fifteen seconds to go. Jaimie a good combination, forces Gems to cover up again. Arterton giving some more ground. Good right hand, Alexander, and there's not going to be any doubt about this one. There's the bell, and it's Jaimie and wide."

Cassie: "And, Alexander pulls into the lead 48-47."

ROUND SIX:

O'Dell: "Sixth begins with Jaimie pushing forward and meeting solid resistance from Gemma. Arterton holding her canvas, thumping a right hand that backs up Jaimie! Alexander thinking better of pressing the issue, settles back to boxing, and Gems more than willing to box with..."

McCarthy: "Smart move by Alexander. No reason to take chances."

O'Dell: "Arterton a solid combination there. Gems getting going right now, taking command of this round. She's tossing Jaimie onto the defensive again and again, and now it's Alexander who's getting backed up and touched up as Arterton's getting off lusty..."

Cassie: "This has been a heck of a fight..."

O'Dell: "Sure has. About twenty seconds to go in the stanza. Arterton another solid combination, forces Alexander back again. Jaimie spending too much time on the back foot in this round. Five seconds left. Good right from Gems and there's the bell. No doubt about this one, either. Arterton. Wide."

Tess: "And, we're even at 57."

ROUND SEVEN:

O'Dell: "Now it's Arterton pressing forward, backing up Alexander to start the seventh. Gems has found something here, and she's taking full advantage of it. Jaimie trying to slow this down, stabilize her front, but can't get it done at the moment, as the British beauty continues her assault."

Tess: "Gemma's definitely got the range right now."

O'Dell: "Certainly does, and she's firing some very heavy shell. Being plenty patient, working the left hand, setting everything up, but sitting down on a lot of these right hands, and there's no question Alexander is feeling them. GOOD right from Gemm and a BOOMING right hand drops Jaimie!"

Cassie: "Not sure she's getting up from THAT..."

O'Dell: "Gemma to a neutral corner. Jaimie down on her back, eyes closed. Referee's count at three. Four. Five. No movement at all from Alexander. Six. Seven. Not going to happen. Eight. Nine. TEN! It's OVER! Jaimie down and OUT and it's OVER! And your winner by KO7 is 'The Gravesend Gladiator', Gemma Arterton!"

McCarthy: "Lucky!"

AFTER:

O'Dell: "Let's go up to the ring and Tess Valmore!"

Tess: "Wasn't easy in there tonight, Gemma..."

Gemma (shaking her head): "Knew it wouldn't be. This girl's for real. She's athletic. She can hit. She knows what she's doing. But, I found a way, because, that's what I do."

Tess (smiling): "There's been a lot of talk about Front Street girls and title shots...but, guess who's next?"

Gemma (smiling): "Always looking for a chance to get the belts back. Always."
