Carpenter looked sharp in going life and death with Brittany Daniel in her last bout, but questions still remained about the comebacking brunette's skills, age and legs - how much was left and would it be enough against a young slugger like Elizabeth? After 7 back and forth rounds, we had our answer.

The girls traded rounds like clockwork - Shannon taking the first, Charisma the second and so on, neither girl able to sustain an advantage. But throughout the closely contested battle, it was clear that while Elizabeth relied upon sudden power shots and startling gambles - Carpenter was methodically committing to the torso of her opponent, trying to wear down the younger woman with hard body touches at every opportunity. In the sixth, the tactics showed signs of taking hold as CC posted the first shutout round for either girl - smearing Elizabeth along the ropes and working her over bell to bell. It was enough: Shannon E came out snivelling and discouraged for the seventh, and Charisma's walk-in first minute barrage of clubbing lefts and rights convinced the younger beauty that she couldn't win. A blubbering Shannon took a knee at the ropes and stayed down for 10, while a bloodthirsty crowd shouted "Punk! Punk! Punk!" - establishing a new low for the once feared brawler.
