Brunette Ambition At The Asylum II: Electric Boogaloo

BEFORE:

"Nobody's questioning how good this girl is," says Olivia with a shake of the head. "What they're questioning is, if I still have it. Well. I do. And when I knock her out, everyone will know it."

"She's still got it," says Chloe with a nod. "But. Tonight? She's gonna GET it."

ROUND ONE:

O'Dell: "Back at ringside and that's 'Ain't No Rest For The Wicked' by Cage The Elephant, a favorite song of the lovely young lady coming down to ringside, former Unified Bantamweight Champion Olivia Munn!"

McCarthy: "FINALLY! An actual REAL fighter! The Munnster is going to WIPE THE FLOOR with Bennet! Mark it down! Bet MONEY on it! Mac The Knife has SPOKEN!"

O'Dell: "Munn, of course, formerly of Sceej Boxing. Now an indie, and wasting no time getting into the ring. She's helped off with the robe to reveal a white number and a body that's getting quite the reaction from the crowd..."

McCarthy: "No question of her hotness, though, at Sceej, she was always number two behind Mac The Knife..."

O'Dell: "And, that's..."

Tess: "An assault on Mac's olfaction..."

Cassie: "Terrible. Awful. Horrible. Mac may not be able to stay here if this is going to keep playing..."

McCarthy: "SHUT UP, BOTH OF YOU!"

O'Dell: "Drink up, boys, and the song you're hearing is 'Uh Oh', and the singer of same, former Unified Bantamweight Champion Chloe Bennet, is on her way to the ring..."

Cassie: "Bennet's clinched her roster spot, but she's aiming to get those belts back, so she needs a win tonight..."

O'Dell: "Bennet into the ring and helped off with the robe. She's wearing that blue number we've seen before. Ladies about ready. Time for some picks. Tess likes Chloe. Mac?"

McCarthy: "You HEARD me!"

O'Dell: "Cassie?"

Cassie: "I agree with Tess!"

O'Dell: "There's the bell. Munn wants to get physical early, and that's no surprise if you've seen the older brunette fight. Chloe wants to do a little boxing here, but Livvy not having it. She's stepping to, forcing the younger woman onto the defensive, making her uncomfortable..."

McCarthy: "Starting the floor wiping right NOW..."

O'Dell: "Definitely off to a good start. Bennet not afraid to get physical in there, but she's being taken out of her game right now, becoming nothing but a counter puncher as the Munnster fights lead here. Oliva's been in a slump of late, ladies, but she seems pretty determined to break out of it."

Cassie: "No doubt about that."

O'Dell: "Final thirty seconds of what's been a great round for Munn. GOOD right from Olivia backs up Chloe. Bennet fires back and now we've got a FIREFIGHT for the first time in this bout! Both brunettes landing hard shot to the bell. End of one, and Munn takes it wide..."

Tess: "And leads 10-9."

ROUND TWO:

O'Dell: "Munn continuing with the aggression, and Bennet still willing to play defense here. Livvy fighting lead and fighting very well, and Chloe not doing all that much about it right now, which, frankly, is a surprise considering how aggressive Bennet usually is..."

Tess: "Well, let's keep in mind Chloe's gotten in some trouble early in some fights getting caught by an aggressive opponent. Could be Neve anticipated what you're seeing right now and put a fight plan in to deal with it..."

McCarthy: "CAMPBELL? She knows NOTHING..."

Cassie: "She knew enough to whip YOUR butt over and over again..."

McCarthy: "You LITTLE...I was ROBBED!"

O'Dell: "IF we could concentrate on the ring, we'll see that Olivia's in firm control here. Bennet not hurt, but she's giving ground, playing defense, countering here and there. Munn getting off in combination, scoring with both hands, and fighting very, very well, which is exactly what you'd expect from a former champion. Ten seconds to go. Munn another nice flurry and there's the bell. Olivia. Wide."

Cassie: "And up 20-18."

ROUND THREE:

O'Dell: "Munn aggressive again and now Bennet meeting that with some aggression of her own and it's ON in the middle of the ring! Brunettes having at one another and a NICE shot by Olivia countered by a BIG right from Chloe! Crowd getting into it now as both fighters get off with some heavy leather..."

Cassie: "Lots of sweat being sent flying right now..."

O'Dell: "Munn a combination and Chloe fires right back. Ladies committing on everything now, as they fight for control. Nobody getting it and nobody letting the other girl have it, either. GOOD exchange there, with more sweat being sent flying and the crowd on its feet now!"

McCarthy: "Keep it up, Bennet, and the Munnster is gonna put you DOWN!"

O'Dell: "Twenty seconds to go in this stanza. Fighters still going after one another. GOOD right from Chloe backs up Olivia. Bennet follows on with a sharp combination that forces Munn to cover up. Bennet getting it going late and keeps it going right to the bell. Close, but the late rally gives Chloe the points."

Tess: "Munn's lead now 29-28."

ROUND FOUR:

O'Dell: "Ladies settling in to some two-way work now. Not as aggressive as in the last frame. Instead, at middle distances, brunettes doing some boxing while sitting down on some punches as well. SHARP exchange right there and sweat flying again, Cassandra Lynn!"

Cassie: "Lot of bantams would be out of there after some of the shots we've seen tonight, but these two are very sturdy."

O'Dell: "No question about that. Munn a good combination there! Bennet covers up and Olivia follows up with another flurry. Chloe firing back now, and she backs MUNN up a step. Lots of action in this one, even though we're not seeing quite the work rate we did in the previous round."

Tess: "Definitely a crowd pleaser so far."

O'Dell: "Final fifteen of a competitive fourth. Another nice exchange and both fighters landed some good shots in there. Munn digs a little body and Chloe responds to that in kind. Ladies fall into a clinch now. Referee getting between to break them and there's the bell. Close. Olivia."

McCarthy: "And, Munnster is back on top by two, 39-37."

ROUND FIVE:

O'Dell: "Ladies back to it. Middle distance boxing, but not sparing the heavy leather. Both fighters landing some solid shot and Bennet backs Munn up with a hard combination. Chloe stepping forward, backing Livvy up with another flurry. All of a sudden, the younger woman has Olivia on the back foot..."

McCarthy: "Come ON, Munn! Take her OUT of there!"

O'Dell: "Chloe taking canvas now. Olivia unable to hold hers at the moment. Bennet's found a way to push the veteran into reverse, and Munn can't get out of that gear. Bennet getting more aggressive, landing some stuff on the screws. Olivia takes the licking, keeps on ticking..."

Tess: "And, Bennet keeps giving out the licking..."

O'Dell: "Chloe really rolling right now, and that's bad news for anyone in this division. She's got Munn all the way over onto the defensive. Livvy playing this smart, going to go ahead and try to ride out the last few seconds of this round. One last combination from Bennet and there's the bell. Chloe. Wide."

Cassie: "And Munn's lead down to one again, 48-47."

ROUND SIX:

O'Dell: "Bennet back to work, pressuring Munn. Olivia trying to hold canvas now, firing back, but she's being backed up by the younger brunette. Bennet really has it going now, and it's a sight to behold. Everything's working. Jabs landing, follow on rights perfectly timed behind..."

McCarthy: "She'll make a mistake and Munn will make her PAY."

O'Dell: "Bennet absolutely locked in. Taking the fight to a girl who's very, very dangerous, as many top opponents can attest. Right now, though, it's absolutely all Chloe Bennet, and THERE'S A RIGHT HAND AND MUNN IS HURT! Bennet splits the gloves with a booming right..."

Cassie: "LEFT HOOK!"

O'Dell: "And DOWN GOES MUNN! Olivia crashing to her back after a short left hook cuts the power. Chloe to a neutral corner. Referee's count at three. Four. Five. This is academic. No movement at ALL from Munn. Seven. Eight. Nine. TEN! It's OVER! And your winner by KO6 is 'The Next Big Thing', Chloe Bennet!"

Tess: "What a punch!"

AFTER:

O'Dell: "Let's go up to the ring and Tess Valmore!"

Tess: "I have our winner, Chloe Bennet, and, Chloe, you got it going in that fifth..."

Chloe (nodding): "Anybody who thinks she doesn't still have it, get in the ring with her. Hits like a truck and she's still athletic. Still quick. Still hard to hurt. Took me a while to figure out how to get to her. But, I did."

Tess: "And, when you did, you made no mistake."

Chloe: "Can't with a girl like her. You won't get a lot of chances. Have to take advantage of them."
