Before: Re-inflation of Ryder's career continues: with seven movies coming out in the next couple of years, pressure's on for Winona to start building her ring profile. Enter Tautou: Svelte European boxer/stylist in the Penelope Cruz mold - her claim to fame seems to be a series of bludgeonings at the hands of Virginie Ledoyen over the years - perfect for Winona's needs. Ryder in black lace push up; pink bikini bottoms with black lace trim; black gloves. Audrey in royal blue bikini; white gloves.

During R1: Winona aggressively at Audrey as Tautou hops the perimeter, looking things over from outside. Some evidence of a good training camp for Ryder: weight's down, body's toned up; good stepping pursuit hounding Audrey, keeping pressure on. Winona reaching in a spearing jab to the body - just to locate Audrey, fix her position for flurries to come. Tautou not anxious to engage - she's lithe about the apron, light on her feet - simply brushing harmless shoeshine combinations at Winona's head and shoulders to occupy her long enough for Audrey to get away.

R2: Winona increasingly belligerent, losing respect for Audrey: Tautou makes her pay. Time and again, Ryder storms forward, looking to slug: time and again Audrey walks her into a well placed hook or right hand - pivoting 'round either flank to allow Ryder to blunder past. Audrey feather-fisted - but the combination of her accurate chin-placement and Winona's careless forward momentum conspiring to put Ryder wobbly butt this round. Break: Winona's corner wants her to regroup, box "like we trained".

R3: Winona looking to set up orderly: Tautou pounces. Well conceived attack - Audrey upping tempo at exactly the right time - catching Winona thinking about her footing. Brisk, pasting arm-punches clout Winona about her face, driving her backward: she's startled, confused - facing into an energetic flurry as wide-eyed Tautou scrubs away busy. Winona staring as her face is slapped this way and that: Ryder slumping against ropes, trying to keep her hands up. TAUTOU GOES JUG! Audrey suddenly baring fangs: she stands up in the stirrups - little body tensing to launch a chugging assault: short, pumping lefts and rights rise into Winona's hulking bra, mashing and bashing it about. Ryder open-mouthed, slipping into jug-shock: she's overwhelmed, coming undone as breast meat is pancaked and punched about. OH THE HUMANITY! Tautou just all up in Winona's business - little French vixen busying herself with Ryder's jugs - furious hup-hup-hup to rack paralyzing Winona and THE REF STEPS IN! Ryder immediately bleating in protest, but she was a stunned little beauty, just taking punches there. TKO3 in crisp fashion - Audrey Tautou.

After: Tautou all smiles: nice bit of boxing tonight as she exploited Ryder's impatience and capitalized on Winona's first - and last - form break. Ryder heartbroken: already she knows she let this one get ouf of control - Tautou was there to be beaten tonight and Winona simply didn't execute as instructed.
