Intro:
Going under the radar of most are Alexandra Daddario and Dua Lipa for contendership status, tonight they look to keep the runs they are on alive as we head into the winter run in.

Over this past calendar year Alexandra has won five of her six fights, getting wins over young prospects like Kaia Gerber and veterans like Claire Holt, only Elsa Hosk has stopped her having a perfect year.

While Dua has had a uplift of results since joining the Girls Friday stable over a month ago, defeating Odette Yustman and Amanda Cerny over that period, turning her record over the year to four wins in seven fights.

Heading into this fight, both women were interviewed by Alicia Atout for the FCBA Network at their stables gym's, first up Alicia headed into the Foxfire gym to see Alexandra sparring with Sophie Turner, fist bumping when the bell rung to end their session with big smiles.

Moving to sit on the apron, Alexandra waves Alicia over with a welcoming smile, saying "hey Alicia, I hope me and Sophie gave you a show" winking as Alicia nods before replying that both were impressive.

The fight is brought up, Alexandra telling Atout "Dua is very skillful, I've seen her and she has the basics very much down to a tee, problem she has is she won't be able to hold me off, I am sure I have the power advantage and I've proven I can take the hits, she'll need her best to beat me" a more serious tone to Alexandra as she speaks.

The final question is about her going under the radar somewhat, the beautiful actress grins as she answers "when haven't I been under peoples notice, I have been quietly going about my business, before people realise I'll have passed them by and will be challenging for titles, I know I can be that good if giving the chances to prove it" Alicia thanking her for her time as they exchange a fist bump.

Alicia then heads to the Girls Friday gym, having to wait till Dua finishes her training session, with the stunning singer sitting next to her on a bench at the side of the main gym, taking a drink before saying hi with that beautiful smile.

Asked how she feels she is fitting in her new surroundings, Dua answers "I'll admit the first day was like moving to a new school, I was shy to say hi to these guys, they've pulled me into their gang and I am loving it, if I have needed to talk to the coaches or to management I have, while I have been working hard to prove I belong here" Dua looking around at the gym with a beaming smile.

The subject then moves to this bout, Dua admits "Alexandra certainly has been on a roll, I knew she was good but looking over footage with Gisele of her this year, I think she might be the most motivated she has throughout her career, I can't wait to test myself against her"

Asked how she'll win this fight, Dua says "simply I have to stick to my strengths, she still has holes in her defense that if I can time right then she'll be napping, if I can't then I'll outbox her till the final bell, I am here to become a champion, I can't let any road blocks stop me doing that" a determined look crosses her face as Alicia nods in reply, both hug before Dua heads to the showers.

Fighting time, Alexandra is out first with Virginia Madsen beside her, she blows kisses to the crowd at the top of the aisle, then jogs down the aisle looking in a good mood, confidence flowing through her on show.

The American steps into the ring wearing a navy blue sports bra with silver trim, matching trunks, navy blue shoes with silver laces, silver gloves, while her hair is held in a ponytail by a silver ribbon.

Over in her corner Alexandra poses for the crowd with her left fist on her hip, her right arm is flexed as she has a smoldering look for the cameras, then gets to work on her warm up routine as Virginia tells her she has this.

Out comes Dua now with Gisele Bundchen and Eva Carneiro behind her, Dua also looks relaxed as she heads down to the ring, nodding to her fans as she waves at them, who are cheering loudly for her.

The British fighter is wearing a red sports bra with black trim, matching trunks, red shoes with black laces, black gloves on with her hair braided as she climbs into the ring with a more serious look now.

Banging her gloves together before she begins to go through her warm up, Dua is being told off Gisele not to get too loose with her punches, Dua nods along to the advice as the last thing she wants to do is upset her stable.

The referee waves the fighters to the ring center, while neither holds any malice to the other, they still have a stone cold look when they lock eyes, a win key here to really getting into that contender bracket of fighters, a loss will really push them backwards.

Once the final instructions are read out, the fighters respectfully touch gloves with their opponent, heading back to their corners with steely gazes, the bell is rung to start 10 rounds of lightweight action.

Round 1:
At the bell both keen fighters come out circling behind their jabs, Alexandra looking to catch out Dua with a right hook, just misses as the singer spots it coming with a cheeky grin as she nods to the American.

Who is looking to push the tempo, but is met with a hard jab/straight after missing again with a hook, Dua showing off her footwork to make Alexandra miss more then she is landing right now.

Switching things up herself after a good opening minute, Dua lands a jab to Alexandra's face, followed by two hooks to the body, as she steps back Daddario shows some of her own hand speed to dig a straight into the mouth of the singer.

While Dua started the faster, as the round continues it is Alexandra starting to get her rhythm going and getting somewhat on top when she knocks Dua back with a jab/right cross combo, taking the ring center as she buries a follow up straight into the face of Lipa.

Less then a minute to go, Dua slips a left cross to land a right into the abs of her opponent, an overhand left turns Alexandra's head as Dua turns on the jets to beat back the actress onto the ropes, Daddario covering up as a flurry comes at her, though most are cracking off the gloves of the shielding fighter.

At the bell both fighters nod at each other to show respect; as they sit on their stools, their expressions are all business as this is all about winning, not about making a new friend tonight.

Round 2:
Knowing she has to come out faster, Alexandra meets Dua more at midrange now to force the issue, both landing hard shots as they try to establish their control over the action, Dua slipping several punches before lancing hers into Alexandra's stunning face.

But an uppercut catches Dua and puts her on the back foot, Alexandra has the opening she has been looking for, not wasting time as she lands two cross punches to her opponent's cheeks, Daddario presses her back around the ring near the ropes.

Dua isn't sitting back completely behind her guard, throwing punches from it to try to ward back Alexandra, problem is she is being out worked by the New Yorker, who switches up her punches to the body when she spots her chance to make Dua groan out.

A left cross catches Dua on her ear, it seems a wake up call as she comes swinging back, crowd roaring as these two battling beauties are going hell for leather, cracks heard around ringside as neither holds back on their opponent.

It's Alexandra who comes out on top with a right hook/left uppercut combo that sends Dua back onto the ropes, Alexandra crowding her onto them with hooks to the body that make Lipa grimace.

The round comes to a close with Alexandra smiling as she heads back to her corner, Virginia nodding to her that was a better round for them, across the ring Dua listens closely to Giselle.

Round 3:
Doubling up her jab to catch Alexandra coming in, Dua is looking more controlled after losing her focus in the last round, sticking and moving as she knows she can't let Alexandra press her to the ropes.

Alexandra hunting down the younger fighter behind her own jab, both marking up the others cheeks with ramrod punches, crowd waiting for the big shot to come as nearly a minute goes by with both not wanting to make a mistake.

A feint does the trick as Dua steps to her left, right into a right cross as Alexandra baited her with a left hook that never came, a jab is followed by an uppercut that doesn't land flush, it does make Dua back pedal though.

Keeping Dua aimed at the ropes is Alexandra's goal, right now she is achieving it as she is drilling in stiff shots through the mitts of her opponent, knocking back Lipa's head as she has her stuck on the back foot.

Late in the round, Dua finally times her counter attack as Alexandra misses with a right hook that sails over the singers head, after landing three short sharp body blows, Dua lands an overhand left to the jaw of Daddario to turn her head to the side.

Before Dua can really get going though the bell rings to stop her, both women stare at each other intensely, then turn on their heels back to their corners, knowing this isn't going to be a cakewalk.

Round 4:
Stepping back out to battle, Alexandra is more forthright with coming on the attack, the confidence seems to be on her side as Dua is tightening her guard more, the New Yorker is pressing the action right now.

Using some of her JMD experience as she can't land as cleanly up top, Alexandra instead lands several straight punches into the boobs of Dua to make her hiss out as she winces, not liking that one bit as she backs off.

As Alexandra tries to press her advantage, she misses with a right cross as Dua leans out the way, then slams an uppercut in return to the chin of Daddario to knock her back onto her heels.

Momentum changes as Lipa now is on the attack, knocking back Alexandra towards the ropes across the ring with a mixture of punches into her face, along with some payback for the breast punches that has Alexandra swinging back trying to ward off Dua.

With less then forty seconds to go with Dua looking to have been knocked back by a straight to her mouth, Alexandra comes back on the attack, MISSING WITH A LEFT HOOK AS DUA SLIPS IN AND BURIES IN A RIGHT TO THE LIVER, DOWN TO ALL FOURS GOES ALEXANDRA!

The crowd look stunned as Dua jogs to the neutral corner, Alexandra looked firmly on top not that long ago, 1...2...3.. Now she is looking through half opened eyes at the referee counting her, 4...5...6.. Pushing to sit on her heels, Alexandra takes in several deep breaths, 7...8... She beats the count, assuring the referee she is OK.

When they resume though she is quick to hold onto Dua, trying to hang on to get to the bell, her plan works as the bell seems to have saved her this time, Virginia applying an ice pack to her body as Alexandra looks still to be sore.

Round 5:
They say one punch can change a fight, well that liver shot seems to have thrown Alexandra for a loop, she is out her corner to fight but she doesn't look so sure what to do as she moves side to side throwing mostly jabs.

Dua is looking to get at that body, she feints with a jab to the body, once Alexandra's guard comes down, Dua lands a right hook to the chin of Daddario, THE LEGS OF ALEXANDRA WOBBLE BEFORE ANOTHER RIGHT PUTS HER DOWN TO HER RIGHT SIDE!

This is turning into a catastrophe for the Foxfire crew as they put their hands on top of their heads looking shocked, 1...2...3...4.. Showing her grit, Alexandra rolls to her front and moves to all fours, 5...6...7.. Crawling to the ropes near her, 8...9.. Alexandra just beats the count, though she doesn't look that sure footed, she tells the referee sternly she is OK.

Maybe not wise but Alexandra tries to land a big hook as Dua is grinning, knowing she has her opponent wounded badly, it is about finding the opening to strike and end this, Alexandra gamely is coming forwards knowing defence isn't going to save her.

Another missed hook is met with a right to that liver again, ALEXANDRA HAS HAD ENOUGH AS SHE TURNS HER BACK TO DUA SOBBING, THE REFEREE JUMPS IN AS IT LOOKS LIKE ALEXANDRA HAS THROWN THE TOWEL IN HERSELF, QUITTING DUE TO THE PAIN SHE IS IN!

Winner Dua Lipa TKO Round 5

After:
Straight away Dua is over to check on Alexandra, putting her right arm around the shoulder of Alexandra, who is sobbing from frustration as much as being hurt, telling Dua "f*** I couldn't keep going" her head down as she looks ashamed she had to quit.

Virginia rushes into the ring to check on her fighter, seeing her breathing hard, she has the ice pack ready as another coach in the corner has brought her stool for Daddario to sit on so she can catch her breath.

Both fighters fist bump to show respect as Dua nods to Alexandra, knowing she wouldn't have quit unless she was really hurting, returning to her own corner a winner but more worried it seems on her opponent.

Getting a pat on her back from Gisele, Dua is told "you keep this up and you'll be our number one lightweight before we know it" making the victor smile as she looks proud to be acknowledged that way, especially considering her fellow lightweight stablemates are Kendall Jenner and Alessandra Ambrosio right now.

Across the ring the doctor checks on Alexandra, finding she'll be OK but to take it easy as those liver shots really took it out of her, Virginia telling her "you did us proud, I know you think turning your back made you look weak but tonight just wasn't your night, I'd prefer not carrying you out of here on a stretcher" putting her arm around the shoulder of Alexandra as she tries to console her.

When Dua is ready she heads to the ring center, the referee raises her hand in victory as that's three in a row now, so far pretty impressive wins for her growing reputation in the FCBA as she moves up the rankings.

Alexandra shows her class by applauding Dua when she stands up, yelling over to Dua "I hope I get a rematch soon!" Dua giving her a thumbs up and a warm smile before Alexandra is helped out the ring to the back.

For the Foxfire beauty it is back to the grind, her impressive run ends but as she has shown this year, she can put good wins together, so don't expect Daddario to go into the shadows, another run could very well be coming right away.

While the winner poses for the cameras with her fists raised, plenty of eyes starting to be on Dua as she is building her reputation up, her team trying to keep her active, most likely she'll be back in the ring soon enough to try to keep this charge going.
