Results: Lookout!; Story: Caspian & The Dollhouse

BEFORE:
Avril Lavigne looking cocky as ever in her pre-fight press segment, laughing, giggling and gesturing rudely towards her opponent across the table every chance she gets. Then again, what else is new for the Dollhouse’s former queen, who’s coming off of two failed revenge attempts that ended up with her getting KO’d by both Collins and Panetteire, but apparently these defeats have not impacted her overflowing confidence much, especially against a 19 year old FCBA semi-rookie. As usual, her time at the mic is riddled with self-proclaimed praise and a healthy dose of witticisms:

"People say this Isabela chick is a "dangerous" opponent for me right now....pfft. Please bitches. What is she..like, 16? Her wins are not that impressive...beating Olivia Holt is not a big deal...I beat her too. My girl Nessa fucked Isabela up just a few months ago, and I plan to do exactly the same. She even gave me some tips. *giggles* I can handle this b*tch no problem!"

Poor Isabela, who doesn’t deserve this, of course, with the Global Boxing Syndicate starlet still a relatively new addition to the FCBA and doesn’t know where to place her eyes or hands in such a bizarre situation as this. Merced’s claim to fame is of course her most recent knockout of Olivia Holt, whom, as some might recall, is the reigning AMD champion and a former Flyweight title holder. Perhaps that’s the reason why Avril’s in such a fluster tonight: the Doll has yet to hold either or any of those belts, whilst her opponent tonight has already been touted as the next big challenger to the throne.

“I’m not sure what Avril’s deal is, really,” Isabela starts soft in reply. “She’s always so immature…and I’m the teen here. Me? I just fight whomever management puts in front of me. Holt was one of the toughest girls I've fought so far - she really gave it her all and so did I. Tonight though, Although I’m a little nervous – I feel really good about my chances. I’ve watched Av’s recent fights, she’s not that scary when she’s on the receiving end which is hopefully where I’ll put her. I feel like shutting her up.”

The two girls are again at odds when it comes to the official weigh-ins, coming toe-to-toe, with Avril’s insults ramping up a notch as the Doll continues to taunt and insult her, this time straight to her face. Merced for the most part remains calm, employing that Thug Rose strategy of not letting herself get baited or influenced by her opponent’s psychological warfare. Hopefully this translates into her fight plan as well.

Hours later, we’re back in the Dollhouse stadium for ten rounds of Flyweight action. BOTH these girls want to get the champion’s attention tonight, with the recent change of hands of the Flyweight belt meaning everyone and anyone is suddenly gunning to take poor Lily Collins down. Isabela enters the arena first, shadow boxing down the ramp and later undressing that black robe over her shoulders, revealing a royal blue bikini underneath. She’s wearing black gloves for this contest. Avril’s entrance definitely overplayed and exaggerated by contrast, with the whole shabang of fireworks, streamers and neon lights adding to her image of grandeur as the Blonde songstress emerges in her usual black and pink fighting gear of sports bra and tights, and rocking her head to her own music.

In the ring, the referee calls for the touch of gloves, which Lavigne simply laughs off and turns her back at the offer from Merced. Not entirely unexpected, of course, but still, kudos to the young rookie for trying. There goes the bell and HERE we go!

ROUND 1:
Avril aggressive as hell at the opening bell - what do you expect of the self-proclaimed “Queen of the Dollhouse”, whom others have nicknamed “Terror Incarnate” and “Mad Donna Lavigne?” She jabs plenty at Merced’s head before unleashing a tight cross smack into her arms, hoping to score and scar her in the first round, especially assuming the newbie won’t be able to take the heat. But Merced survives that initial shock to her system, now recovering as she keeps focus behind her arms and moving, mitigating the Doll’s aggression with ease. Merced later passes the ball back to Lavigne late in the round with a couple of scorching hands delivered to the face, then the body, stopping Avril in her tracks as she wonders what collided with her. Merced’s power and speed are definitely underrated and Avril will need to be more mindful of those tools going forward.

ROUND 2:
The fact that Isabela is 17 years younger than her counterpart isn’t worrying to either girl or the audience, who are on the edge of their seats as they see both beauties CLASH once more in the ring. This time, Merced takes the initiative, landing an early combo to the face before ducking and weaving against Avril’s return fire. That age difference might well be the factor that decides this fight, as Merced’s youth and speed being shown off here as she dodges and slips around Avril’s jabs, then punts the singer back on the nose with an overhand right before ending the elaborate combo with a right hand drilled to the tummy. Avril, in trouble, realises her aggression isn’t going to work only after the bell rings this round. The Canadian singer continues to roar after her quarry, chasing her head with jabs, but almost all of them are missing their mark. She manages to hurt Isabela with a last ditch combo above the eye in the final seconds, but her intimidation tactics are not bearing fruit so far.

ROUND 3:
Merced however gets ROCKED by a lucky hook to the face in the early exchange, Avril showing some prowess of her own as she scores in the opening seconds with that heavy swipe across the cheek, which sends the young woman sprawling! Cheer of grim satisfaction from Avril’s lips as the Doll immediately gives chase, sensing another opportunity to put the youngster away, and with that, her dreams of a title shot this semester. Lavigne pounding away on every inch of Isabela’s body, lefts and rights shooting in and chasin', upwards and down as she pushes Merced backwards. Isabela slinks back to defensive mode like in the first round, careful not to expose her head as she weathers the onslaught that is Avril Lavigne. Merced, still staying smart and alert, doesn’t let herself get trapped on the ropes and instead, manages to duck and slip out of the way whenever Lavigne tries to blow her off her feet with a sudden swing to the head again. Round ends and it’s definitely not the best show for the younger fighter, but at least she managed to stay awake at the end of it.

ROUND 4:
Part of the reason Merced’s even here is her recent accolades, of course, with that last victory over ex-champ Olivia Holt standing out in our minds. The young girl’s untested but brimming with potential, and scoring a win like that was definitely going to turn some heads, Avril’s included. The Doll continues her march forward, this time a little more slowly after all that blatant charging. Merced backpedaling to survive another attack, her jabbing hand out and aimed at the head to try and deter Avril. Only when the Doll gets close enough does she switch to her usual bobbing and weaving, bashing some nice hooks into Avril's sides to get her groaning and wincing. Avril finally stops her wanton chasing in the third, back to traditional holding pattern and jabbing from afar, and a vast exchange occurs in the final seconds as both ladies want to go full steam ahead here, sticking jabs into each other’s faces and only stopping when the referee physically intervenes to separate them.

ROUND 5:
AND THERE’S THE KNOCKDOWN!! One girl gets BLASTED to the canvas with a loud grunt, with Avril and Isabela starting the round off on the same footing as last time, with Merced back to making herself small and hard to hit. But Avril just relentless, throwing some feints into the mix as she dupes her opponent into weaving to the one side, only to have a helluva of a right hand waiting! BAM! The right hook connects straight into Merced’s chin, rocking her head back and the rest of her body FLATLINED on the canvas! What a KNOCKDOWN for Ms Lavigne!

Avril cocky as she struts over the young girl’s body whilst berating her with a sly grin. The Doll moves back to neutral corner, enjoying the crowds’ chanting of her name in her own house. No upstart pipsqueak is going to spoil her party! Merced looking like she’s been knocked to another dimension, eyes squeezed shut as she tries to sit up, the referee’s count ringing hollow in her ears. She’s come this far in her career and the only thing that matters now is how much she wants this win, and with it, perhaps a future title opportunity. She defies expectations as she gets back up by the count of 8, and the crowd suddenly seems to have switched sides as they let out a cheer of encouragement for the underdog! This fight is ongoing!

ROUND 6:
The Dollhouse corner encouraging their girl to end the fight after that big knockdown that has surely put some fear into the youngster and as the round commences, Lavigne tries to knock the brunette down again but she’s running out of gas quickly. After so many fights, you’d think she’d learn to pace herself a little more intelligently and reserve some of her precious dwindling stamina. But no - from an outsider’s perspective, she doesn’t realise her swings are getting sluggish as she tries to catch Merced with another lucky hook to the chin. But Isabela’s youthfulness comes to play as she starts to press into the tired girl, avoiding her punches and then driving her own gloves straight into Avril’s body, that guttural reaction of shock and pain from the Doll’s lips means Merced has found her ideal target practice: Isabela almost exclusively going after the Canadian’s midsection because it’s doing the most amount of damage, folding Avril in half and at other times making her stumble back into the ropes, clutching her tummy. But the Doll manages to stave off disaster as she continues swinging wild bombs in Isabela’s direction whenever she gets in close. Round ends with Lavigne looks as though she’s in dire straits, panting heavily as she slowly makes her way to her corner whilst Merced appears to have fully recovered from that earlier scare.

ROUND 7:
“How is she so fast!?” Avril can be heard whining to her team as we’re going the distance here, and Lavigne is looking exhausted on her stool and is even late to stand up as the fight continues too soon for her liking and the question on the Dollhouse’s mind remains whether she can actually keep up with the elusive Isabela for much longer here. Isabela determined to answer that question, leaping in and taking the fight to the older fatigued blonde with a sudden burst of aggression that has the Doll yelping in panic. Avril having to fend off sudden jab flurries to her head in the first minute, arms straight up as Isabela pounds and batters on her guard about the ring, with little to no danger in turn to the younger fighter. It’s clear the Doll’s in survival mode as she grunts and braces, trying to protect her face from getting rearranged by the teen, but Merced quickly adapts - switches targets and goes after that vulnerable belly, bashing punches off Lavigne’s tummy and drawing even louder grunts from the rapidly wilting Doll. Lavigne, clearly not quite the AMD contender, is finally beaten back to the ropes groaning, sucking in air with her mouth open, arms wavering in front of her chest as Merced rushes in to batter in more hits straight to poor blonde’s soft tummy, leather gloves just sunk in above the waistline as she pins the beleaguered Doll to the ropes and forces her butt through!! WHAP! WHAP! WHAP! Isabela is merciless, she wants this win! Groggy Avril’s doing her best to clinch up and survive, but lets out a sickening grunt of pain as an uppercut packs right into her belly button! AND DOWN SHE GOESSSS!! Lavigne just sinking down to the canvas, bent in half like a broken matchstick! She curls up into a fetal position by the ropes! Dear lord! The crowed is going nuts here as the ref quickly pushes the youngster away sending her hopping to a neutral corner with her arms raised and a smirk leaving Lavigne gasping for air on the mat hugging her destroyed midsection! Shock throughout the arena as the referee finally begins his mandatory count here! 1…2…3….4…the crowd looks on with bated breath to see if the Doll can somehow continue to fight but Avril COUGHS OUT HER MOUTH PIECE! Seems like she’s had enough! She doesn’t want to fight Isabela anymore - she wants medical help!!! Head trainer Kristanna Loken has seen enough, shouting at the ref, she frantically WAVES THE TOWEL to get him to end the fight – and it works! Taking one more look at Lavigne’s condition, the referee mercifully WAVES THE FIGHT OFF! WOW! The Doll ain’t getting up from that tummy-sluggin’ anytime soon!! This contest is over in brutal fashion!

Official Decision: Isabela Merced defeats Avril Lavigne via KO7!

AFTER:
The teenage wonderkid does it again! The Dollhouse’s medical team rush into the ring and what an upset here tonight as Merced makes it two bosses down in a row! Beating the tough and hard-sluggin’ Olivia Holt was big enough, but now, Merced repeats her feat by subduing the infamous Dollhouse star in convincing fashion! Referee raises Isabela’s hand and she’s beside herself, beaming as she waves to the arena and blows kisses to her fans including many newly acquired ones for sure after tonight’s impressive dismantling of the Canadian songstress. She’s definitely put in the work here tonight to take away this victory, and who knows what her future plans are now that she’s come this far so quickly on her incredible journey towards the title!

Lavigne on the other hand is still laid out near the ropes, getting worked on by a group of Dollhouse medics, gasping for air and coughing as the medics try to sit her up on the mat first and examine the damage wrought, but the Doll shaking her head, still hugging her midsection for fear of permanent damage. She’s suffered another big blow here tonight with this being her third KO loss in a row – something which hasn’t happened since she returned to the ring under the Dollhouse management. With her dreams of a title shot shattered after a third humiliating loss in the span of two months and one has to wonder if Avril who has recently celebrated her 36th birthday is on a steep decline or if this is just a temporary slump. The fact that her hated stable-rival Emma Roberts is getting the title shot against Lily Collins tonight instead of her isn’t going to make things better for the Canadian, and if Roberts manages to win the title tonight - this night will become an even bigger disaster for Lavigne than it already is.

Still, if we know Avril, she ain’t going to give up so quickly...but Carmen Electra will have to choose her next opponent wisely if she wants her girl to bounce back from this catastrophic losing streak.
