Before: Intriguing match up—wildly divergent styles but girls evenly matched—it’s an important developmental fight for both. Pure boxer vs puncher collision—better execution should carry the day and both girls doing their part to hype the bout with plenty of pre-fight vitriol. Michelle in red push up, white bikini bottoms; JLH in black push up and panties.

R1: Michelle sets the tone, pressing up on Jennifer, punishing the body and arms with nonstop clubbing, Hewitt flat footed, covering up and taking a beating as the blonde stands and slugs with two-fisted abandon—shutout Mish.

R2,3: Much tougher rounds to score as Hewitt finds a rhythm and both girls have their movements, Jen scrapes out the second, Mish the third—both rounds could have gone either way, Mish the stronger—she’s winning the exchanges and bullying Jennifer whenever the brunette lays in or clinches, Hewitt showing that Packard influence, giving Mish angles, potshotting with hit and run lead right hands, then stepping out before Williams can respond.

R4,5: Jennifer Love Hewitt takes over the bout in these rounds, shutting mish out of both. Hewitt on springy legs, plays tag with Williams’ face, bouncing the right hand off it and escaping, circling, timing the blonde to perfection. Mish wading in, getting beaten to the punch, then missing the counter—she’s being nibbled to death. Williams unhurt, taking the punches well, but Hewitt all wide-eyed and concentrating beautifully is boxing to perfection.

R6: Williams finally gets caught a vicious stroke on her jaw—Hewitt bending her lean frame into a slinging right hand that puts wobble in blonde trunks—Mish hurt for the first time in the bout. Jen excited, but not committing to follow up punches, continues to drop lead rights or slapping hooks, then step out as Williams catches clean on her face. Hewitt with her third consecutive shutout, hyper at the bell, giddy at the pasting she’s giving the sullen blonde.

R7: Shutout Michelle Williams, Mish digging down, showing some life in those legs to cut off the ring, wrestle Jen to the ropes and maul her breasts and belly with chugging short right work from both hands. Hewitt buffeted up against the ropes, looks a little shaken up, but she shakes it off well during the break.

R8: Hewitt regaining control with the stick, circling, lighting Mish up with cracking right hands—Williams almost disdainful of the brunette’s hitting power as she continues to bear down. Williams making the fight, but she’s not scoring—gets lecture in her corner with two rounds left and a bulge on the cards for Jen.

R9: Jen poking in the lead right and stepping to her left around a wide sapping hook as Mish walks her down. Girls fall in together cheek to cheek, and then Hewitt peels back, body slack, legs stiff, to crash full out to her back. JLH out cold from a stunning short right hand on the chin—Williams bursts into a sunny smile at the beautiful sight—KO9 Michelle Williams as a shocked crowd doesn’t know quite how to react.

After: Multiple replays from various angles show that Mish caught Jen as the girls fell in together—a short right hand that never left Mish’s shoulder—Williams just driving her body into Hewitt’s chin then watching as the brunette spilled lifeless to the canvas. Spectacular whack probably the hardest punch Mish has ever thrown, totally erases a fine effort from the slick brunette with thunderclap finality.
