BEFORE:

"You could argue she's the best bantam in the world," says Evan with a smile. "So, I don't exactly have much to lose, have I?"

"Thing with a girl like Evan," says Chloe, "Is that she has plenty of talent, but just hasn't gotten the chances she needs. So, you don't want to make the mistake of taking her lightly. And, I won't."

ROUND ONE:

O'Dell: "Back at ringside and that's 'If I Fell', but, obviously not the version made famous by the Beatles. Instead, the singer of this version is the lady coming to the ring right now, the lovely Evan Rachel Wood!"

McCarthy: "And, Weirdo is three for three. NO FCBA wins!"

O'Dell: "Wood into the ring and helped off with the robe to reveal that black and white striped number we saw the last time she was here..."

Tess: "And, the crowd liking the way she looks in it..."

McCarthy: "Again. Philly. Low standards."

O'Dell: "Aaaannnnddd that's..."

McCarthy: "And assault on my olfaction! Why do they INSIST on playing this HORRIBLE SONG????"

Cassie: "Truck, please put the RESTRAINING ORDER issued against Mac that ENJOINS her from singing on screen..."

McCarthy: "Don't you...TAKE THAT DOWN! IT WAS ONLY ONE SOOOONNNGGGGG!"

O'Dell (sighing): "The song you hear is 'Uh Oh', and the singer of that tune, 'The Next Big Thing', Chloe Bennet, is on her way to the ring right now..."

Tess: "Bennet right in the mix for a bantamweight title shot. If she wants to stay there, she needs to come through tonight."

O'Dell: "Chloe into the ring and helped off with the robe by Jewel and Neve. She's looking very good in that blue number she prefers. And, the ladies are about ready. Time for some picks. Tess likes Bennet. Mac?"

McCarthy: "NO FCBA wins. Bennet."

O'Dell: "Cassie?"

Cassie: "I agree with Tess!"

O'Dell: "Three for three on unanimous panels. Let's see if the ladies are right. Redhead aggressive early, stepping to Bennet behind the jab. Chloe going ahead and giving ground here. Not going to get into a firefight in the first round with a girl who just said she didn't have much to lose..."

Tess: "This is what we saw from Wood the last time."

O'Dell: "Certainly is, and she showed then that, when she's able to be aggressive, she can be very, very dangerous. Difference this time is that she's in with an elite fighter who is even more likely to make her pay. For the moment, though, Evan getting what she wants to get done done."

McCarthy: "I like some of what I'm seeing from this kid right now. Got to love the guts."

O'Dell: "Final seconds ticking away in the first. Wood's had it her way. Chloe playing defense, firing back in spots, mostly letting the redhead fight lead, and Wood looking very, very comfortable doing it. There's the bell. And it's Evan Rachel Wood and wide in the first."

Cassie: "And the redhead is up 10-9."

ROUND TWO:

O'Dell: "Second begins the way the first ended, with Wood coming forward and Bennet playing defense. Brunette content to ride this early aggression out, at least for the moment. Redhead dictating, and Chloe just going along, keeping the hands high, firing back only in spots."

McCarthy: "This is poor training right here. Bennet should bang back."

O'Del: "No doubt she's going to have to put her foot in the ground at some point. Question is, exactly when will that be. Doesn't look like it's going to be in this stanza, because Evan is still getting the vast majority of the work done. And the redhead has to be feeling good right now..."

Cassie: "That's the trade off. You don't want to get into a slugging match early, but, by doing this, you're letting Wood into the fight."

O'Dell: "Twenty seconds to go in the second round. Evan in command, as she has been throughout. Chloe not hurt, but she's taking the worst of things as she's allowing Wood to continue fighting lead right to the bell. No doubt again in the second. Wood wide."

Tess: "And now she's up 20-18."

ROUND THREE:

O'Dell: "Evan forward again and NOW Chloe's holding ground and banging back and HERE WE GO! Ladies letting the leather fly in the center of the ring and BENNET ROCKS WOOD! Right hook from Chloe and Evan is HURT. Redhead covering up as Chloe goes to TOWN!"

McCarthy: "This is what I said! Why spend two rounds going backward?"

O'Dell: "Well, there's no going backward right now! Bennet's LATHERING Wood with shots to the head and belly, backing up the redhead, pinning her to the ropes, working her over both upstairs and down. Evan tying up. Ref getting in there to force a break, but Bennet right back to work..."

Tess: "This is where Chloe is SO dangerous. She knows how to finish..."

O'Dell: "No doubt about it. Fifteen seconds left in this round and Wood trying to ride it out as the brunette goes back to work on the body, then nails her with a hard right hand. Ref looking in, but Wood is going to make it to the bell. There it is. No question its Bennet wide, but Wood survives."

Cassie: "And still leads 29-28."

ROUND FOUR:

O'Dell: "Bennet pushing forward to start the round, but Wood giving some ground, using some leg. She seems to have shaken most of the damage, because those legs are working and she's forcing Bennet to work hard to get her squared up at the moment. More good stuff from the redhead..."

McCarthy: "One of the things that makes a real fighter is an ability to recover from damage. And, nobody is better at that than the People's Bantamweight Champion!"

O'Dell: "Chloe working the feet, trying to bring Evan to battle, but Wood continuing to move well and use that jab to parry most of the attacks. Nobody getting a ton of work in right now, and I suspect that suits the redhead just fine, considering the way the third round went..."

Cassie: "Definitely want to break Bennet's momentum. Fail to do that, and you'll wish you had."

O'Dell: "Wood legging even more as the round goes on, and while Chloe's stalking somewhat effectively, the redhead's fouling the sights pretty well at the moment. Final seconds ticking away and there's the bell. Not a lot in it, but I think Evan's grabbed it close. Very close."

Tess: "And, Wood back up two, 39-37."

ROUND FIVE:

O'Dell: "Fifth verse, same as the fourth. Wood moving, Bennet stalking. Going to have to say that I'm a little surprised the redhead has changed tactics so completely in the middle of this fight. Gone is the forward pressure we saw early, and Wood's getting her box on, Mac..."

McCarthy: "Another move out of the Mac The Knife Playbook. I can fight ANY style, and it's a reason why I bemuddle so many opponents!"

Tess: "I can't EVEN..."

O'Dell (sighing): "Bennet squaring up, landing a nice combination, but the redhead quickly slipping out of Dodge and getting back to open canvas. Chloe continues to be patient, stalking, looking to cut, wants to bring all that power to bear. Wood doing her best to prevent that..."

Tess: "Not sure she'll be able to keep this up five more rounds..."

O'Dell: "I'd guess she won't. But, for the moment, at least, she's getting it done as we head into the final fifteen seconds of the round. Bennet again cuts and steps in with a solid combination. Wood ties up. Gets a break, circles away. And, there's the bell. Close again. This time, Bennet..."

Cassie: "And, Wood's lead back to one, 48-47."

ROUND SIX:

O'Dell: "Second half underway with Wood on the move, jabbing, stopping to pop here and there, but mostly staying on her horse. Bennet's seen this before, of course, working her own feet, squaring, landing a SOLID RIGHT HAND AND THAT HURT WOOD! Evan stumbles and nearly goes down!"

Cassie: "This girl's power is SOMETHING at this weight..."

O'Dell: "Chloe quickly to work, backing up the redhead. She's working some serious body in there right now, as Wood covers up and puts it on sale. Chloe digging tummy and working over those ribs, then NAILING Wood with a hard right that sends her stumbling into the ropes..."

McCarthy: "Evan rode this out once. Let's see if she can do it again..."

O'Dell: "That's what we're going to find out. Referee looking in closely as Bennet goes all Neve Campbell on the body right now. She's looking to bring down that guard. Wood suffering, but keeping it high, crouching, tying up, doing all she can to run clock, and she turns the trick. There's the bell! Bennet. Wide."

Tess: "And, we're even at 57."

ROUND SEVEN:

O'Dell: "Bennet looking to finish again. This time, Wood not moving as well. And, Chloe taking full advantage, backing the redhead up with heavy leather to the head. Evan keeping the guard high, giving ground, jabbing here and there, trying to slow the brunette down..."

Tess: "And having very little success doing it."

O'Dell: "Very little. Chloe's got the range and she's landing some solid shot, despite Wood's best efforts. GOOD combination there by Bennet that backs up the redhead. Wood doing well to stay off the ropes and DOWN SHE GOES! Oh, what a straight right hand from the brunette!"

Cassie: "That ought to do it..."

O'Dell: "Bennet to a neutral corner. Wood down on her back, eyes closed, as the referee counts down on her. Three. Four. Five. Eyes open now. Staring up. Nobody home. Six. Seven. Eight. Not going to happen. Nine. TEN! It's OVER! And, your winner by KO7 is 'The Next Big Thing', Chloe Bennet!"

McCarthy: "Lucky, as usual!"

AFTER:

O'Dell: "Let's go up to the ring and Tess Valmore!"

Tess: "I have our winner, Chloe Bennet, and, Chloe, she was a little tricky in there..."

Chloe: "Like I said, she has talent. She just hasn't gotten opportunities. It's why girls at Front Street never forget how lucky we are. We HAVE the opportunities. We just have to take advantage of them."

Tess (smiling): "And, there's ONE opportunity I know you're looking forward to having again..."

Chloe: "Absolutely. Four months to go in 2020. Let's make it happen!"
