RED HOT SUMMER AT THE ASYLYM IV: THIS TIME IT'S PERSONAL

BEFORE:
"Look," says Madelaine, eyes flashing, "I SHOULD have taken out Reinhart the last time I was here. And, Lili's a bytch, but, she's also bigger, stronger, and better than THIS girl. So, guess what's going to happen to Ariel?"

"No," says Ariel with a smile, "I'm not as big as Lili. But. I'm plenty big enough to handle Petsch, as she's about to find out."

ROUND ONE:
O'Dell: "Back at ringside, and that's 'Milkshake', but not the hit version by Kelis. Instead, it's a cover by the lady steaming down to ringside right now, redhead Madelaine Petsch..."

McCarthy: "And, this girl actually HAS an FCBA win! Weirdo must have made a mistake..."

O'Dell: "Petsch into the ring and helped off with the robe to reveal a black number that's gotten the crowd's attention. And, that's 'I Knew You Were Trouble' booming through the arena, but, again, not the hit version by Taylor Swift, but a cover by the young lady coming to the ring, Ariel 'Dangerous Curves' Winter..."

Cassie: "Winter's beaten a pair of former champions, Kreuk and Lowndes, in her last three fights, and is teaming up with K-Stew to give Front Street, along with the Dollhouse, the best flyweight one-two punch in the FCBA..."

O'Dell: "Winter into the ring and helped off with the robe by Jewel and Neve. She's wearing that curve-hugging one-piece we've seen before, and the crowd, as always, plenty appreciative. Ladies about ready. Time for some picks. Tess likes Ariel. Mac?"

McCarthy: "Petsch HAS an FCBA win. I'm going with her!"

O'Dell: "Cassie?"

Cassie: "I agree with Tess!"

O'Dell: "And, we're underway and Petsch stepping right TO Winter and letting the hands go and Ariel's banging back in kind and we've got a FIREFIGHT IN THE MIDDLE OF THE RING! Gotta say, after the way Petsch went after Reinhart the last time she was here, this shouldn't be surprising, but this isn't the way most flyweights go after Ariel..."

McCarthy: "But, if this is your style, fight it. This kid is very aggressive, so, GO for it."

O'Dell: "And she IS going for it and WINTER NAILS HER WITH A RIGHT HOOK! Petsch quickly clinches. Ref getting in there to break them and now Ariel going all in, backing Madelaine to the ropes and having at her to head and body. Petsch in a high guard, countering in spots..."

Cassie: "Not sure Madelaine is hurt as much as she's a little buzzed. Defending herself pretty well."

O'Dell: "Is, indeed, but she's taking the worst of it as we head down the stretch. Winter working that body, then going back upstairs, sending sweat flying with a hard right hand. Five seconds to go. GOOD right from Winter, and there's the bell. Ariel gets the first one wide."

Tess: "And takes the 10-9 lead."

ROUND TWO:
O'Dell: "Winter stepping to Petsch as we start the second and Madelaine holding ground and banging right back. Redhead's shaken off whatever damage Winter did in the last stanza, and she's giving as good as she gets in there. Both fighters doing some serious body digging right now..."

Tess: "No doubt some major investments being made..."

O'Dell: "And, at some point, those will pay off. Right now, though, the ladies are working downstairs, up, back down, piling up both points and punishment, but nobody's managing to take control of things. They're toe to toe. Not a lot of foot movement right now, but both playing good defense..."

Cassie: "No doubt about it. Plenty of hand and head movement."

O'Dell: "Final thirty seconds of an action-packed second, and nobody taking a backward step. Body, head, body, from both redheads, with Petsch landing a SOLID right hand there that backed up Winter a step. Ariel right back in her grill as they bang away to the bell. Close. Madelaine."

McCarthy: "And, we're even at 19."

ROUND THREE:
O'Dell: "Third begins with Petsch really coming after Ariel. Winter giving some ground here, trying to manage a bit, but that's going over like a lead balloon, because Madelaine just keeps coming. She's letting the hands go, backing up Winter again and again, REALLY sitting down on her punches..."

McCarthy: "Good strategy for the kid. TAKE IT TO HER!"

O'Dell: "Kind of surprised Winter isn't hanging in there and banging with, but, Petsch has gotten her on the back foot, and she's absolutely determined to keep her there. Ariel firing back here and there, but can't seem to stabilize her front at the moment. Instead, the Petsch offensive rolls on..."

Tess: "This is good stuff from Madelaine..."

O'Dell: "Agreed, and, she's not slowing down as we come down the stretch. Winter backing and covering as Petsch bangs away effectively with both hands. Ariel's not hurt, but she's taken a thumping in this stanza, no question about it. There's the bell, and it's Petsch and wide in the third."

Cassie: "And, Madelaine takes the 29-28 lead."

ROUND FOUR:
O'Dell: "Petsch is rolling right now, stepping to Winter, backing her up. And, Winter not very effective in retreat. Got to admit, I'm a little surprised that Winter isn't trying harder to hold canvas here, like she did in the first and second, but, either she's not or she can't..."

Cassie: "And, we've seen that she can..."

O'Dell: "Either way, though, Petsch is controlling things, taking all the canvas she wants, tossing Winter onto the defensive over and over again. Ariel having moments where she bangs back effectively, but she's mostly fighting off the back foot and getting the worst of things..."

Tess: "I'm going to say again that I'm impressed by Petsch. She wasn't out of her depth against Reinhart and she's not out of it here...and both of those girls are Top Ten fighters..."

O'Dell: "Fifteen seconds left and Petsch backs up Winter with another solid flurry. Madelaine really in rhythm at the moment, and she's in complete control of this thing. SHARP exchange there sees both fighters land some hard shot and there's the bell. Petsch again. Even wider this time."

McCarthy: "And, the kid leads 39-37."

ROUND FIVE:
O'Dell: "Fifth begins with Petsch coming after Winter again, and, this time Ariel hanging in here and firing back and HERE WE GO! Firefight in the middle of the ring with both redheads bringing the physical and no none willing to take a backward step. HARD right from Petsch and Winter responds with one of her own!"

Tess: "Crowd getting into this in a big way!"

O'Dell: "No doubt about it. Sweat flying as the ladies snap heads back with hard shot, and, still nobody slowing down or backing up. Both fighters working a little more body as the round goes on. GOOD right hook Winter and Petsch responds with a nice left uppercut."

McCarthy: "TON of heavy leather being thrown in there..."

O'Dell: "No question about it. Ten seconds to go. SHARP exchange right there and both redheads landed some good shots and there's ANOTHER exchange of bombs and ANOTHER and there's the bell! Ref leaping in between the fighters who stare one another down. Close. Winter."

Cassie: "But, Madelaine still leads 48-47."

ROUND SIX:
O'Dell: "Ladies right back at it, in one another's grill, banging away with hooks and uppies, working some body, but concentrating upstairs right now. GOOD right from Petsch that backed Winter up a step, but Ariel right back in her grill, going body in a big way..."

Cassie: "Doing some serious tenderizing right now..."

O'Dell: "Sharp exchange there and then another. Nobody willing to take a step back here, as both fighters look to impose will and nobody's willing to be imposed on...RIGHT HOOK, WINTER! Petsch wobbled and DROPPED BY A STRAIGHT RIGHTT HAND! OH WHAT A SHOT!"

Tess: "That may well do it..."

O'Dell: "Ariel to a neutral corner. Petsch flat on her back after that shot, staring up at the referee. Count at three. Four. Five. Six. Madelaine sitting up at seven. Eight. Not going to happen. Nine. TEN! It's OVER! Petsch can't beat the count and it's OVER! And your winner by KO6 is Ariel 'Dangerous Curves' Winter!"

McCarthy: "Lucky night for Weirdo..."

AFTER:
O'Dell: "Let's go up to the ring and Tess Valmore!"

Tess: "I have our winner, Ariel Winter, and, Ariel, very physical in there..."

Ariel (nodding): "All respect to her. She's willing to get in there and bang with me. Most girls won't do that...for obvious reasons. But, she wasn't afraid and she gave almost as good as she got. ALMOST."

Tess (smiling): "Speaking of being afraid of you..."

Ariel (shaking her head): "Nothing to say. They had their chance. They ran away from it. They won't get another. But, I WILL."
