BEFORE:

"I know Dennings' schtick," says Janet with a smile. "She's the physical girl who'll punish you inside. Well. Guess what? I'm even MORE physical than SHE is. And that will be the difference tonight."

"No question," says Kat, "That she's built for this division. And, I'm built to tear down girls built like she is."

ROUND ONE:

O'Dell: "Back at ringside and that's 'Change Gonna Come' by the Bricks, a song from the soundtrack of 'New Amsterdam', and here comes one of the stars of that series, Janet Montgomery!"

McCarthy: "I'd say Weirdo was trying to set the record for opponents with NO FCBA wins, but, he already HAS that record..."

O'Dell: "Montgomery making her FCBA debut this fine evening, and wasting no time getting into the ring. She's helped off with the robe to reveal a zebra-striped number and a body that looks ready for action. And, that's 'I Don't Feel Like Dancing' by Scissor Sisters, and that can only mean that Kat 'The Rack' Dennings is on her way to the ring!"

McCarthy: "I can't believe that Campbell Clone is still ranked ahead of Mac The Knife! But. We'll fix THAT. Because, only ONE fighter is great enough to be ranked in the Top Twenty at age 47! And you're looking at her!"

Cassie: "Actually, the camera is on KAT..."

McCarthy: "Well, it SHOULD be on ME!"

O'Dell (sighing): "Dennings into the ring and helped off with the robe by Jewel and Neve. She's wearing that black, curve-hugging two-piece we've seen before..."

McCarthy: "DON'T YOU EYE ME, CAMPBELL! I'LL COME UP THERE!"

Tess: "After what she did to you in that MMA match in Macao? Brave, Mac..."

McCarthy: "That match NEVER HAPPENED! It's a RUMOR! There's no PROOF! I'll SUE. SHUT UP, WALMART!"

O'Dell: "Drink up, boys. And, we're about ready to go. Time for some picks. Tess likes Kat. Mac?"

McCarthy: "Typical. Dancing. Hooker. Opponent. Dennings."

O'Dell: "Cassie?"

Cassie: "I agree with Tess!"

O'Dell: "Our third straight unanimous panel. Ladies out of their corners and right together in the center of the ring. Both want to work some body here, and that's quite all right with the other. Pair of very sturdy brunettes, so it's going to take some investment for the body work to pay off, Mac..."

McCarthy: "See, the RIGHT strategy to fight a girl like Dennings is to leg, stick, move, use speed, things the only 47-year-old to be ranked in the Top Twenty in FCBA HISTORY can do..."

O'Dell: "That's not Montgomery's game, however. We've seen plenty of video of her work at lower levels. She likes to get inside, bang body. And, that's where Kat excels as well. So, I don't think we're going to see a lot of dancing in this one. What we ARE going to see is a lot of tenderizing tummies and ripping ribs."

Tess: "Both girls going to be sore if this goes on for long, because they are really banging in there."

O'Dell: "Just twenty seconds left in the first. Not a lot in it, frankly. Ten seconds to go, and the brunettes still thumping away. Neither fighter able to establish any kind of control, nor develop any kind of lead, despite all the work. There's the bell. First is going to be a draw."

Cassie: "10-10 after one."

ROUND TWO:

O'Dell: "Back to work in the second, and the terms appear to be set already. Neither lady interested in space or a lot of movement. Instead, they're right in one another's grill, working body, banging upstairs, then going right back down. Lots of attrition going on out there, ladies..."

Cassie: "And, as you said, Jenny, it's going to TAKE some work."

O'Dell: "No way either of these ladies break down quickly, but both brunettes willing to put the work in to make that happen, and both confident it will be her opponent who gives in first. GOOD right from Montgomery and a BETTER one from Kat backs Janet up for the first time..."

Tess: "Montgomery right back forward, however..."

O'Dell: "Indeed, and they're toe to toe again. Fifteen seconds left in an active second, and neither fighter gaining much an advantage despite all the effort being put in at doing that. One more sharp exchange and there's the bell. Glove tap and some mutual respect building here. Close. Dennings."

McCarthy: "And, that Campbell Clone leads 20-19."

ROUND THREE:

O'Dell: "Nothing fancy about this as we roll into the third. Ladies tenderizing meat in there, working ribs, belly, just about every legal inch of the body, all in the service of breaking the other down, breaking her will, making her body give in. But, both of these bodies taking the punishment."

McCarthy: "Starting to pink up a little, though..."

O'Dell: "And, no wonder after all the body work we've seen. Ladies with heads on shoulders, just DIGGING body right now. Lots of punishment being dished out, but, again, nobody willing to take a step back in there. It's all about imposing will, but no one willing to get imposed ON."

Cassie: "Not sure if Montgomery's going to win this kind of fight with Kat, but, JANET thinks she can."

O'Dell: "We've got under 30 to go in the third. GOOD uppercut by Janet that backs up Kat and Montgomery tosses a nice combination there that forces Dennings to cover up. Kat tying, banging back now. NICE exchange there, with both fighters landing a hard right and there's the bell. Close. Janet."

Tess: "And, we're even at 29."

ROUND FOUR:

O'Dell: "Ladies in close again. It may look like there's not a lot of art going on in there, but that's a shallow interpretation of what we're seeing. There's good footwork, good hand and head movement, lots of geometry happening as each fighter looks to defend and break down defenses..."

McCarthy: "NICE right from Montgomery!"

O'Dell: "Backed Dennings up and now Janet letting the hands go, looking to follow up. She's got Kat on the back foot and she's working to keep her there. Dennings steadily being forced back by hard, accurate fire. Kat countering here and there, not hurt, but she's getting the worst of it..."

Tess: "Montgomery exploiting this breakthrough pretty well..."

O'Dell: "No doubt about it. Final twenty seconds of the round and Janet still in control, working Dennings backward with hard, suppressive fire. Kat landing here and there, but it's been a lot of Janet Montgomery and it's going to stay that way right to the bell. There it is, and Montgomery has the round wide."

Cassie: "And, Janet on the lead 39-38."

ROUND FIVE:

O'Dell: "Fifth begins with more of the same. Ladies together inside working body. Janet a good uppie and KAT ROCKS HER WITH A RIGHT HOOK! Montgomery stumblin', rumblin' fumblin' after a BIG shot from Dennings, and now Kat going all in looking to finish this thing..."

Cassie: "About half the division would be counting lights right now..."

O'Dell: "But not the sturdy Brit. She's wobbly, but she's staying on her feet as Kat lets the hands go. Janet backed up into the ropes now. Ref looking in closely as Kat hammers away to both head and body. Montgomery keeping the hands high, tying up Dennings now..."

McCarthy: "Ref needs to watch for low blows in there!"

O'Dell: "Kat punching free, landing a SOLID right hook that got the referee's attention. Montgomery jabbing back, doing enough to keep the ref from pulling the trigger. Five seconds to go in the round. Nice left hook from Kat, but there's the bell. Dennings. Wide."

Tess: "And, we're even at 48."

ROUND SIX:

O'Dell: "Kat pressing her advantage as we begin the second half of this one. She's stepping to a still-buzzed Janet, backing her up, forcing her to take both weight and leather. Montgomery trying a fighting retreat. She's landing here and there, but not able to slow down the Dennings express..."

Tess: "Kat just looking to end this thing right now, but Janet doing a good job of preventing that."

O'Dell: "Is, indeed. Kat scoring and scoring plenty, but Montgomery playing effectively for time, starting to get the legs back under her. Good combination, Kat, forces Janet to cover up, but Montgomery fires right back and HERE WE GO! Ladies letting it fly in the middle of the ring!"

Cassie: "This has been SOME KIND of fight!"

O'Dell: "Down under fifteen seconds. GOOD right, Janet and a GOOD right from Kat in response! Ten seconds. ANOTHER sharp exchange as these brunettes are letting one another have it. Five seconds. BIG exchange and the ref leaping between the fighters at the bell. Glove tap, again! It's Kat, wide in the sixth, but Janet seems to be back in it."

McCarthy: "Campbell Clone up 58-57, but she's let this girl off the hook!"

ROUND SEVEN:

O'Dell: "Ladies toe to toe to start the seventh. Montgomery seems to have shaken off the damage and she's giving as good as she gets in close. Both brunettes banging body, going upstairs, then right back down. Lots of body work has piled up already, but both ladies still shipping it well..."

Cassie: "And, neither showing any signs of wear at the moment."

O'Dell: "Good right from Janet, forces Kat to cover up. Montgomery going body, banging away at those ribs, then landing a nice left hook. Dennings responding to the body. Ladies chin on shoulder again. Kat a short left hook and a BOOMING right uppercut and DOWN GOES MONTGOMERY!"

Tess: "Now would be a good time for Cassie to sing..."

O'Dell: "Janet ragdolled to her back. Kat quickly to a neutral corner. Referee's count at three. Four. Five. No movement at all from Montgomery. She's not just down, she's OUT. Seven. Eight. This is a formality. Nine. TEN! It's OVER! And your winner by KO7 is Kat 'The Rack' Dennings!"

McCarthy: "Lucky punch!"

AFTER:

O'Dell: "Let's go up to the ring and Tess Valmore!"

Tess: "I have our winner, Kat Dennings, and, Kat, that was a war in there..."

Kat (smiling): "My kind of fight, Tess. Just getting inside and banging. Most girls won't try that with me. She did. And, you saw how that went for her."

Tess: "You can sleep well tonight, because you're on next year's roster..."

Kat (smiling): "Oh, I plan to be around here a long time. And, I plan to wear some GOLD, too."
