CAITY LOTZ VS SHAY MITCHELL

Results: Lookout Writing: Archer

Caity: 34 YO, 5’5 (1.65 m), 19-13-0, 15 KO since 2013 Medallion Boxing

Shay: 34 YO, 5’7 ½ (1,71 m), 35-32-0, 33 KO since 2011, Pretty Little Punchers

Before: “Caity has been doing very well for herself lately,” says Shay Mitchell at the prefight pressr. “3 Wins a row this year: Samara Weaving, Kaya Scodelario and Candice Patton. I decided it was time to revisit her. I beat TKO8 back in 2015, but that was a long time ago. I am wondered if she gotten better. I doubt it, but I thought I would give her the chance.”

Caity not entirely happy with the backhanded compliments she’s just gotten from Shay: “I can assure Shay that I have gotten a whole lot better and she’s going to find that out the hard way.”

“Bring it on, Caity, show me you got what it takes to beat Shay Mitchell,” dared the PLP fighter.

Caity gives her a wicked grin: “Oh, I’ll be bring it, Shay dear, and you will see I have what it takes to put you drooling into the canvas.”

Nothing like a little ‘grudge match’ flavor to spice up interest in a fight. Growing is excited and eager as the fighters enter the ring. Shay wearing a white one piece suit with black gloves (with white laces) and white boots (with black laces. Hair pulled back in a battle braid.

Caity in a dark blue body suit with sheer black panels on the sides. Dark blue boots and gloves Blonde hair in a casual blonde ponytail.

Some tension as they meet with the referee. The smaller Caity hip bumping Shay and trying to look unintimidated. Shay gives her a look cool disdain that only irks Caity more. Referee sternly reminding the fighters the fight starts AFTER the bell not before. Instructions are the completed and the two sharply “tap” gloves before going to their corners. Then the bell rings…

R1: Back and forth action as soon as Caity and Shay can get at each other a mid-ring. Good punching from both fighters mainly to the head early on, but then migrating to the body. Caity whacking in the hooks to test Shay’s midsection while Shay is mainly working Caity juggs. Caity not appreciating the breast banging and gives it right back to Shay’s rack with straight right and left hands to crush Shay’s knockers. Shay losing some momentum as she is force back whibytle trying to suck in more air to her aching lungs. It’s not a big move on Caity’s part but it is enough to squeeze out win on this round.

R2: Shay attacking to the head from the outset and not letting up. First shots crack off Caity’s jaw and rattle her chin. She is forced to go defensive, trying to protect her head, but Shay still striking hard at the sides of her head. Shay all but ignoring Caity to the body and it is paying off as she has Caity rubbery-legged and bottled up as the round ends. Wide win for Shay Mitchell.

R3: Shay wants to fight to the head? Caity now takes up that challenge as she whips rights and lefts into Shay’s head, thumping the brunette hard to the jaw and cheekbones. Shay seems sluggish in reacting to this, a good indication that Caity been able to stun the PLP boxer. Shay finally able to get her defensive jab working with enough force to keep Caity at bay in the latter part of the round. Still Caity has racked up enough points to win the round wide.

R4: Shay no longer looking sluggish as she comes out for the new round. Shay clips Caity off the chin an then strikes hard to the stomach with strong hooks. Caity put on her heels, but fights back with answering body shots of her own. Rugged, up-close-and personal action as elbows pump in short rights and lefts. They seem stalemated for much of this bitter battle, but then Shay gains the upper hand. Caity forced back slowly, but definitely. Result is a hard fought, close win for Shay Mitchell.

R5: Caity coming right back at Shay as the new round commences. She goes right at Shay to the ribs early and often. Shay jolted hard and is tipping forward at the waist. It is then Caity suddenly strikes at Shay to the chin and jaw. Shay caught flush as right and left combos rip into her jaw and chin. She staggers forward and Caity adds more solid whacks to the chin. DOWN GOES SHAY! Shay falls forward and lands with a thud on her face. Caity to the neutral corner. Referee moving in to count. Shay struggling to regain her sense. Suspenseful moments as the count rises, Shay seen to be struggling, but ultimately does rise to break the count at “EIGHT!” Action soon resumes. Shay throwing out strong jabs that keep Caity at a distance, unable to get in that finishing shot, but Caity wins the round wide.

R6: Caity again on the attack, going for Shay to the head, but Shay counters with head shots of her own. Two are taking turns whacking each other to the side of the head, the chin, jaw and cheeks. Heads are being swiveled or bobbed up and down, Bot fighters starting to look like they are fighting in a growing daze. Punches are still coming in, but they are slower, made with more effort than earlier Then, Shay able to get in a late series of uppercuts to Caity’s chin and Caity starts falling back her strong legs quivering, She is still up at the bell, but looks ashen-faced as she goes to her corner. Very grueling ground, but Shay Mitchell wins it close.

R7: Now we have Shay Mitchell attacking early, Caity Lotz has a defensive look with mitts around her head, but Shay’s putting punch after punch into Caity’s body. Caity trying to counter to get Shay back, but Shay’s not budging, Then Shay spots an opening in Caity’s defenses and sends a right uppercut ramming in behind Caity’s gloves to explode against her chin. Caity’s head snaps back, her body shudders as though an electric shock is going through her and Shay swiftly ads right/left to the jaw. CAITY TOPPLES OVER ONTO HER RIGHT SIDE! Shay hastens to the neural corner, Referee counting. Caity shaking her head, trying bravely to regain her senses and then to try to rise. She tries and falls back, Tries and falls back, She tries a third time, but

“EIGHT!...NINE!...TEN!...YOU’RE OUT!”

Caity finals erect, but she is seconds too late!

THE WINNER SHAY MITCHELL DEFEATS CAITY LOTZ KO7!

After: Some in crowd boo the decision and complain on social media about a “fast coun”, but Caity Lotz too professional to make excuses.

“I didn’t make it up in time and that’s it for this fight,” she says with finality, but adds. “Shay Mitchell and I are not done!”

Shay Mitchell says: “There was no ‘fast count’ and I am glad Caity didn’t go along with that kind of talk,. I beat her fair and square. She had her chance earlier, but I was up before “10” and went on to win, It was hard fight, but I won and that is the important thing for me.”

Hard won battle for Shay Mitchell and an unhappy loss for Caity Lotz. It’s hard enough to lose, but to lose by mere seconds is harder to take, but Caity didn’t complain (at least in public). We have the feeling these two are far from finished, but when a third fight might come is anyone;s guess.
