Before: Clash of titans—TE doing a nice job of building to a crescendo, Cat-spreading the title around, defending the borders of her empire against a host of opponents, but it finally comes back to the big dog, Jennifer Garner. “Jennifer’s the girl everyone wants to see me in with,” admits Bell, “it’s definitely a special fight. I had a great’03, but to top it, I have to put Garner in her place again—you can’t steer around your top contender when you’re the champ. You have to take her head on—winner take all,”

Garner relaxed, confident in prefight. “there is no Cat Bell mystique to me. You’re not going to see a Jenny O’Dell melt down. No Jeri Ryan ‘thank you for coming’, good-enough-to-lose effort, I’m wading into Cat and I’m chopping her down until she’s had it. I’ll be fighting to a draw a verbal submission from her—up to her if she’ll give it to me

Jennifer in “Alias” black bra and panties; Cat in electric blue bikini.

During R1: Bell drawing on her O’Dell-beating strategy early—trying to block Jen’s right and catch her with blunt right hands on the jaw—champ looking to be the boss from the get-go. Midway through, wheels fall off—girls engaging, disengaging letting their hands go, when a trade in hooks staggers Cat onto her heels. Garner in with a tidy right/left on the ribs and another kaCHING hook to spread Bell along the ropes—Cat forced to clinch to regain her bearings, Good Bell recovery—she clinches for breaks, gets the jab out, drops right hands before tieing up—she gets out of the round in good shape, forcing Jennifer to fight hard for those points.

R2: Tactical round, both girls using the jab, circling midring, but Jen’s overall speed hand and foot the difference. Garner pivoting left, spotting jabs breadbasket and face—Bell parrying shots up top but collecting touches on her long flat abs, Jen getting the odd rigid hook on Bell’s right flank, but not taking any chances—Garner speeds her way to her second straight.

R3: Cat steps up the attack early, spearing the jab and coming forward—Garner forced I into hasty retreat throughout the first minute. Jennifer getting it together in the middle minute, jabbing to Cat’s chest and face, hooking off the stick, slowly reeling the champ in. By the final minute—Bell’s defensive again, hands up, weight back, just blocking and parrying, stepping out to relieve pressure—Jennifer sliding to the sides, threatening Cat from angles, forcing tactical retreats on the champ. Third straight round for the challenger—Syren wants more pressure from Cat, rougher tactics.

R4: Cat doubling up the jab to land her right hand, but it’s Garner taking advantage. Jennifer sliding back in good order, batting a pesky counter hook to jaw inside Bell’s stick, the rocketing over her own pre-emptive right as Cat loads up. Bell but wobbly butt—she cluinches immediately—Jen bodies her briskly to the nropes. Cat fighting well when hurt again—wrapping up around Garner’s head and arms, turning her into the ropes and going to the midriff—Bell actually getting the better of it inside, Garner takes the round for the gaudy early work, but Cat’s winning minutes, seems poised to break out after 4.

R5: Garner slams the door with a shutout, First minute—there’s no comparison: Garner’s just faster, greasing in and out with her belly jab, hooking her jaw as she quick-pivots left, reverses field to wrong-foot the champ. Second minute—Garner edges inside, detonating ripping combinations along Cat’s waist and ribs, backing Bell to the ropes. Crowd chanting “JUG! JUG!JUG!”—Garner obliges, dipping and shrugging up into Bell’s hulking orbs, then forearming the champ back for more. Garner piling on, pounding away in rigid flurries—she has Cat covered up and looking shopworn through 5.

R5: Shutout Jen Garner, Beating starting to mount—Bell’s legs giving way in spots, spilling her embarrassingly to the ropes under non-stop Jen Garner pressure, Jennifer with those rigid, tearing hooks and rights, clubbing Cat about the ears, clawing at her ribs—Cat’s riding out the bursts, then retreating rather than offering pitched battle: Jennifer’s mauling her in these sequences. Midway through, Bell leans back from a shaving Garner right, but gets clocked the jagged come back hook to chin—Bell scattered to the ropes as the crowd roars, all wobbly butt and shook again. Garner cleaning up down the stretch, pushing into Cat, palming her shoulder back, sampling midriff, ribs and jug with that muscular, banging delivery, Smoldering eye contact at the bell—Jennifer pouring it on, being the boss: Cat gut-shot, eyes swelling, bleeding from the mouth.

R7: NO! Shutout Jen Garner. Garner hits the seventh and ups the tempo just like she’s in the gym—Cat falling off the pace, getting badly outworked at this point, First minute a series of heartpounding connects on Cat’s chin—Jennifer catching her with flush hooks and swinging left hands. Bell staggering away, somehow righting herself at the ropes, somehow covering up, then clinching for a break before Garner can really pile on. Jennifer humming now—clicking on all cylinders—she’s just helping herself, going at Cat’s tummy and flanks behind the elbows whenever Bell leans forward, bashing away against guard and ears at the ropes. Cashing in uppercuts and jug work at every opportunity. It’s just Jen coming forward, Jen on Cat, Jen working, Cat soaking, all around the ring. After 3 devastating minutes—Cat a busted p mess, cut over her left eye, both eyes swelling badly, rib cage pink with abuse—it’s all adding up. Garner looks her girl back to the TE corner, feeling the moment.

R8: Cat fighting with some urgency, knows she’s getting rolled up and embarrassed—but Jen won’t take her foot off gas. Garner winning the battle of jabs, backing Cat up with stick, humming over top those jarring straight rights, cleaning up the hook. Bell setting up ropeside, dukes uo—giving away her proud flanks and ribcage to maintain her high defence—Garner digging in with both hands snatching greedy chunks of Bell body meat. Punches fewer, less committed from Cat—she’s trying the little counter uppercut out of her guard, trying to roll and counter the blocky little right hand, but Jennifer’s over-running the defences.

R9: Jennifer getting tagged as Cat times right hands, but garner’s possessed now, pouring herself at bell, attacking in waves along the ropes. Bell being shredded, worn down beautifully in her gut, as Garner turns her hips in lush rips, digging 2 and 3 rights or lefts in sequence, really shaking the champ. Jen bodying up to prop, so strong at this point, she’s got Cat in shackles, completely controlling Bell physically. Cat tieing up head and arm on Jen, but Garner doing a nice job fighting through it. Garner mugs jug at will, working out of the wrap to plug Bell’s breasts tidy rights—this is just meanspirited stuff from a challenger who’s taking things just because she can. Bell sent back to her corner ramshackle, hurting—Syren coaxing the champ in convincing faship, but TE faces are pale at the beating Cat’s absorbing.

R10: Jennifer leaves no doubts—she tackles up on Cat, drives her butt back into the TE corner and goes to work bell to bell, every second of every minute that’s left. Bell beaten into mute astonishment, hands up at her face, butt in the turnbuckles—Garner pinning her ears back, letting her hands go without fear of reprisal. Jennifer pounding away in blistering bursts, then bodying up sweaty, easing Cat back, opening her up, then taking just a bit more. Jennifer using the left shoulder/extended left elbow liberally—nudging and prodding, belting Cat hooks and right hands—it’s a sickening sight for long time Cat Bell fans, Garner finishes with a sensational, rapid clocking of Cat’s ears—batting lefts and rights that have the champ leaning, dazed—Garner gets the left uppercut, then a short left hook on the jaw to turn Cat sideways to the ropes, on the verge at the bell. Jenny G lifts her mitts, chests up on Cat’s right shoulder, pressing bell flat, face first to the ropes—Garner celebrating right on top of Cat, wanting Bell to feel it through her pores. UD10, 10 rounds to 0, Jennifer Garner.

After: Cat Bell thoroughly battered, face a puffy ruin, but her pride is in much worse shape, Jen Garner puts a 10-0n rout on Catherine Bell—it’s hardly believable had it not been pounded out in front of millions of witnesses. Garner toweling off, swigging lusty from a bottle of Evian—she’s the dimply new champ and loving every minute of it.

“It’s finally happened—Cat Bell got old tonight. She gave me 3 good rounds and then I took her apart. I gotta say it: easy fight. Cat Bell has nothing left—she probably knew coming in this was going to happen to her, but the media kept propping her up, giving her hope. I’ve broken the back of TE with this fight—Cat Bell’s finished. You don’t come back from a beating like that—you just don’t. When was the last time you saw a woman step to Cat bell and take jug? Just TAKE it? When was the last time you saw a woman beat Cat Bell minute after minute on the ropes, with nothing coming back? I was even  giving her spots—hoping she’d fight a little so I could catch her and knock her out, but she couldn’t even pull the trigger. I hope she has the grace to retire rather than go on that long, tired slide. It’s all Jennifer Garner now boys—welcome to the new era!”

AFTER Catherine Bell vs Jennifer Garner

After a vengeful walk of shame by Jen, Garner tosses Cat to the waiting arms of Syren.

“That’s for making me wait.”

Estella Warren jumps to the apron and spreads the ropes wide for Bantam champ Eliza Dushku and Fly champ Claire Danes.

The Triumphant Triumvirate (plus 1) form a group hug and turn to the press table, giving

The press a big Broadway bow, the amount of bling around the three champs’ waists is blinding.

Jen pipes up.

:How about Kat Heigl letting this become a Fearsome Foursome,”

She tousles Estella’s golden locks.

“I gave her a shot a me, time to return the favor to my bud.”

(Hey K & G, life is good, we at HISC hold the ‘130 and below’ world in our grasp, like so many crushed crackers and you hold 130 and above. The Consortium would like to take at shot at all four of our girls holding belts at the same time. The key is ‘like’, if it doesn’t happen, no biggie. To that end, for a Heigl-Warren welter match-up next week, HISC would offer a title fight against any one of its three champs (Garner, Dushku, Danes), your choice. Let us know if that suits your fancy.)
