Before: After heroic negotiations, on again off again dance is finally signed sealed and delivered - girls have taken turns spurning one another and tempers are high coming in. Hu takes the offensive in prefight - "I don't have to jump just because Britney's calling," says a defensive Kelly. "Frankly, I'm the hotter star out of the ring right now - while I was doing Xmen, Britney was packing on weight and shopping. Now that she has something worthwhile to take, I'm here - that's the way the game is played."

Spears under some pressure - Brit appearing on 'not hot' lists for the first time in her life, Hu offering a straight line to instant credibility despite the danger. "The ring has become a refuge of sorts," says Britney. "Things are lot more clear inside the ropes, than out. I just want to fight. I'm tired of talking about Kelly Hu."

During R1: Britney storming across the ring, tackling into Kelly, legs pumping to drive Asian to the ropes - it's ON! Hu reeling as she is driven along the strands into her corner, then stunned as Spears drives into the body with plugging, hungry fists. Kelly trying to tie up, trying to shove off but taking licks and HU GOES DOWN! Kelly up quickly, claiming a slip, but ref calls it a knockdown - Spears seething in the neutral corner, eyes blazing as Kelly takes 8. BRITNEY ROARS BACK IN! Tackling Kelly into the ropes, both girls nearly down, then shoulder to shoulder they JAM away inside. Reckless, ferocious digging - girls hunched over and hustling punches into offending jugs and breadbaskets. Kelly snarling as she holds her ground - Britney using aggressive head rubs and shoulder-bumps to keep Hu's back to the ropes - slugging continues on after the bell as the ref gets involved. Heated words exchanged as the girls strain to get at one another - Spears getting under Kelly's skin, has Hu brawling early.

R2: Kelly still smarting, stomps across the ring, rocks Britney a tight right hand lead on the cheek, shoulders her back, and clouts her another right to back Britney to the ropes. Hu muscling in, getting underneath Brit to lever her back, then flurrying to the tummy with brisk mitt-work. Spears grunting, sitting in the strands - Hu lighting her up to the ribcage, Brit trying to tie up, using her shoulder to nudge for room inside. All Hu to the final minute, Kelly touching Britney belly, breasts and chin - girls trade hooks and HU SCOOTS TO HER BUTT! Hu straightening, catching a short, crisp counter on the button and dropped before she knows what's happened - again she's up quick - but Britney's stolen the round!

R3: Kelly smartening up - lured into a slugfest early, she closes up her stance, points the left shoulder at Britney, left hand low, right at her chest and looks to box midring. Spears right hand at her chest, left across her body, elbows in, she's crouching, staying low, moving her head side to side and looking to hook with Kelly. Hu controlling matters - darting her jab off the hip, effortlessly fading Britney's aggression, then getting around her, flinching with the right hand to get Spears reacting. Technical third owned by Kelly.

R4: Britney charges the mound, wrapping up, legs pumping to drive Kelly into her corner again - blonde rough with her head, shoulders and elbows inside as she SCOURS Hu to the torso! Kelly tries to wrap up - that doesn't work as Brit keeps her hands moving, rotating her shoulders and banging the body. Hu tries to slip and be cute at the ropes - that doesn't work as Spears is heartless bodying up, rubbing her skull against Kelly's beautiful face, palming the Asian's biceps back, throwing fists and elbows at the taut midsection and stout ribs. Hu ransacked, mauled - she's distinctly uncomfortable as Britney takes it to her. LATE RIGHT HAND FROM BRITNEY! Spears ignoring the bell with bloodlust, clocks a beaut to chin and staggers Kelly after the break - Hu howling in protest, ref reading Britney the riot act - Spears spitting and snarling back to her corner, yanking her arm away from the man.

R5: BRITNEY ON KELLY! Hu packed into her corner once again, stunned as she takes a right on the cheek, a left on the chin with forearm chaser, a shoving right in her ribs, then a pumping flurry to her belly before she can tie up. Britney just writhing to get at Kelly, driving in with her legs, pressing up and slugging mindlessly. Spears routinely warned for holding and hitting - she'll reach in with her left to push back Kelly's right bicep, then drift the Asian a rude right hand across the mouth. She'll ride the left hand on Asian shoulder, pulling down on Kelly's head and hoisting right hands up into chest and mouth. Kelly forced to brawl back, butt in the strands, keeping it quick and choppy to Britney's breasts and face - both girls shining up nicely, but Spears the boss through 5.

R6: Boxing round for Kelly - fight settling into recognizable rhythms for both girls. When Hu can get to midring and establish her jab and footwork - Britney's tentative, reactive on the outside. Spears bobbing, trying to weave the jab, but whenever she comes forward, Hu slides back, then steps to the side, feathering Brit with jabs, threatening her with stamping lead right hands. Hu doing a nice job keeping her back off the ropes, turning or spinning when she gets there to open up the canvas. Shutout Kelly.

R7: Brawling round for Britney. When Britney can drive Kelly to the ropes, get her head on Hu and work - Kelly's not happy. Hu pre-occupied with complaining to the ref - meanwhile Britney's reaching in to palm up on the biceps, holding Kelly for clouting blows to the face. Britney's driving in with her shoulders, putting her cheek on Kelly and thumping away blind to the belly. Britney's using her head rough on Kelly - not full-blooded butts, but jutting it in there to keep Kelly squared up at the ropes. And Britney's hooking the lower back, getting around Kelly's elbow as the Asian leans forward. Hu wants it nice and clean on the outside - Britney's making it sweaty and messy, taking Kelly where she doesn't want to go.

R8: Kelly wrestled up against the ropes, pushed and bullied - lips tight with discomfort as Britney climbs into Asian trunks once again. Spears holding and hitting like a master, reaching in with the left and drifting right hands, pounding away on the face and chest of her foe as Kelly's butt rides rope. At one point, crowd screaming as Britney leans in, trapping Kelly's right under her left, and just pumping away righty to the breadbasket while keeping her chin on Kelly's right shoulder. Hu just soaking it up, eyes squeezed shut - mouth pouting open in a stunned 'O' - Britney Spears is beating her up.

R9: Kelly back to boxing - posts a breezy shutout - but her eyes are swelling, ribs pink and sore from abuse and Britney's coming forward without fear. Spears has won the psychological battle - SHE'S the aggressor, SHE'S the one making things happen - best Kelly can do is buy time with her feet as she skirts the perimeter.

R10: Britney storms the ring, drives into Kelly, stacks her into her corner and begins the scrounging, rubbing, bumping, slugging assault that's had Kelly flustered all night long. Spears with her head under Kelly's chin, palming back those biceps and helping herself to gut - Hu slumping forward, butt in the strands, answering back, but half-heartedly, just trying to break Brit's rhythm. Spears working the hook from the midway point, raking Kelly's right side, and whenever Hu leans too far forward, spanking the offered kidney. Kelly's face tight with pain, arching her back at the bell and crying foul - Spears lifts her mitts and bellows as her cornermen charge into the ring. Comes back UD10 for the winner and STILL bantam weight champ - Britney Spears!

After: Hu frazzled, dishelved, puffy around the eyes, sullen as her gloves are removed - she got HANDLED by Britney Spears tonight. The most aggressive and maybe smartest Spears we've ever seen, as she explains - "Normally, when you wade into someone, it's a sign of disrespect - but it's the exact opposite with Kelly. I'm a boxer, but I knew I'd lose 7 or 8 rounds trying to box with Hu on the outside. I HAD to pack into her, keep the pressure on, take her skills out of the equation. We thought she might be flat due to inactivity and we were right - she wasn't sharp with her jab and a lot of times I was on her before she could act. Neither of us was in our comfort zone, but the difference was - I CHOSE to brawl, I was dictating it - Kelly kept waiting for the old Britney Spears to show up. These girls better get used to the idea that I'm a complete champion - I can take a scalple to you, or a sledgehammer - your choice!"
