BEFORE: The CW Network remains a popular fixture on the match-making schedule but Nina Dobrev has distanced herself from 'The Vampire Diaries' heyday to the point she begins her post-bantamweight championship life battling Candice Patton aka Iris West of 'Flash' fame over the latter's snub from the Lioness Club of America roster. Patton was poised to replace the semi-retirement headed Eva Mendes back in spring of last year UNTIL Nina became available via free agency once Demi Lovato emerged as Lookout! Boxing's top 120 lbs option. This wasn't exactly public knowledge at the time but Candice was the odd girl out in the Nina/Demi shuffle and she still holds a grudge over the whole scenario.

Nina argues her case that Candi will never be anything but a solid gatekeeper in this league which is still a level above Candice who demands Eva Mendes to do something about her status. Unfortunately the roster spots are very much closed in the Lioness Den and there's little Ms Patton can do about it other than claiming CW Supremacy bragging rights and hope to become the classic "Best of the FA Rest" floater.

Nina Dobrev wears a navy blue bikini set with black trim & white gloves. Long dark brown hair tied in a high ponytail. Candice Patton wears a green sports bra, matching hotpants & yellow gloves. Long black hair tied in a high ponytail. The fight is scheduled for ten rounds in the bantamweight division.

Round 1:
Bad blood between the two starlets triggers a classic bashing action but Nina's experience & skillset is almost destined to prevail as she knocks the charging Candice back with a monster hooking drive and connects with her chin on repeated basis which stymies the plucky free agent right down. Candice's mind over matter approach earns her a nasty bounce off the wall experience and she's lucky enough not to get smoked into a complete mess since Nina clearly wants to hurt her but just fails to deliver that all important haymaker. She still gets vocal as she drops Patton onto the ropes where she digs into her tummy just to keep the other woman under sustained pressure and belts her right above the waist line to draw spasms from the targeted foe. Ugh! Candice learns the trade the hard way here in the opener and disappears behind a tight earmuff to close out the action.

Round 2:
Candice has learned her lesson and stays clear of another wicked attack while Nina tries to punish her outright and keeps hassling the free agent until she realizes she's not getting it done via the single punch route. Candice uses some nifty footwork to avoid more problems and lures the former champion into a surprising counter-punch trap as she hauls in a nasty hook across the nose and belts Dobrev to the body herself which triggers another punching storm just before the two-minute mark. Patton leans right into her foe and accidentally headbutts her on the nose but there's no time for the ref to react as she blows into her tummy and takes full advantage of the sudden balance issue to turn her onto the ropes and just blast to the body until the bell halts her charge.

Round 3:
More see-saw action in the third as Candice finds her range around Nina's elbows and makes jug-to-jug contact to force the Bulgarian Badass into a phone-booth struggle. Nina suddenly can't quite stretch her elbows at all and gets rolled onto the ropes where Candice sticks more plucky leather on the tummy to keep the slugging drill going. She shuts down the former champion with more belting menace and moves upstairs to clobber the jugs before adding a quick one-two combo on the chin. Dobrev barks in her efforts to break free but is unable to shake the pesky free agent off until the final stretch where she almost drags her onto the ground during a failed hip-toss move. Candice recovers first though and blasts a left hook across the mouth that sends a shocked Nina bouncing into the turnbuckle right at the bell.

Round 4:
Patton really means business here as she slugs the subdued fellow brunette to the body and leaves her glued to the spot for majority of the opening minute. She loops several promising shots over the top as well but those aren't as efficient as the body assault that Dobrev struggles to embrace. This leads into a lenghty clinch but Nina still ends up butt-in-ropes as Candice overpowers her in the test of strenght and gallops into the exposed ribcage once she has the other girl trapped. Dobrev yelps in her efforts to land the response from behind the guard but gets roasted around the midriff area and drops into loud spasms as Patton piles on more pressure and quite frankly begins to dominate the alleged favorite from top to bottom. Ugh! Nina slumps into a clinch with her eyes closed just to survive the round but it's all Patton here after four and she knows it!

Round 5:
The upset is on the cards as Candice rolls into another body-busting barrage but for once she gets caught out by one of these somewhat desperate overhands as Nina rides the counter-punching wave to drop the African-American into mid-distance. Patton tries to close her down but eats too much juice in the aerial swing drive and has to think better off it while allowing Dobrev to gather her thoughts. The former champion still looks kinda upset and mumbles something in alleged Bulgarian but Candice is equally happy to catch some respite and the action slows down to the point we just wait for the bell. Okay, there it is and Patton leads on all cards at half-distance!

Round 6:
Candice ponders her options and decides to protect the lead on the cards which is a bold strategy given the championship pedigree of her opponent. She invites Nina right into the thick of the action and learns to regret it once Dobrev begins to work upstairs to knock the free agent's head around. Patton tries to mount immediate counter-punching response but has Nina digging more juice into her cheeks and just can't force the phone booth stance anymore while getting picked off by the betting favorite who kicks into a higher gear when she rattles Patton into loud shrieks at the two-minute mark. Candice begins to feel the head-hunting heat and Nina knows it so she just lays it into her and tears a small patch on her lower lip before thumping a rare hook on the liver area that dumps Candice butt-in-ropes on the spot. She tries to push off one last time but gets beaten for pace and eats a thunder of a left hook on the chin that leaves her woozy at the bell!

Round 7:
Patton admits her tactical mistake and intends to storm right back at the fellow brunette from the get-go in the seventh but she basically walks into a right hook instead and when she tries to land a left-on-left reply, she just gets SMOKED by the brute force of Dobrev's impact... Uh, Candi! This girl goes sideways on a limp and loses her balance almost on the fly as Nina steps it up and NAILS her on the jaw with a vicious right hook! AND PATTON CRASHES DOWN ON HER BACK with a loud thump as she truly got the jackhammer treatment right there! Nina shakes her glove in delight and plays with the crowd while Candice makes a slow recovery from the knockdown daze... she uses the ropes in order to catch her grip and battles back upright at seven but suddenly wobbles against the turnbuckle and looks to be in some physical disarray after all. Ugh! Double vision time as she pauses before telling the ref how many fingers he's raised and oh my, this girl needs some medical evaluation following that last punch. The CW Supremacy battle is waved off and your winner by TKO7 Nina Dobrev!!!

AFTER: Nothing but confusion in Patton's eyes who asks "Did I win?" before slumping into a sobbing mess once she finally realizes she actually didn't. Meanwhile Nina is climbing the ropes in the opposite corner already and enjoys the crowd's reaction a little extra than normal this time: "That's right! No wannabe like Candi can take MY place! She talked the talk but I walked the walk! Bruh... she's soo done! If she calls it quits after tonight, I wouldn't even hire her as a sparring partner! She has less class than that lousy bytch Lovato! Okay, maybe not... Demetria is still the WORST but Candi, baby, find something else for a living because this boxing thing exceeds your potential. Eva? Let's call the limo and get the heck outta here... we have a job to do up North! One blonde slapper needs to learn her manners too!"
