Before: Ripa staying busy against a formidable brunette—Rena best known for some savage on-set sparring on “Melrose Place”, has worked in camps for Courtney Thorne-Smith and Katherine Kelly Lang in the past—Sofer can handle herself. Kelly the shorter, more compact girl, will have to deal with Rena’s marksmanship to get inside and do her thing. “I just want to look sharp, hurt Rena, and remind girls I’m still around at bantam,” says a business-like Kelly. Ripa in black Hanes underwire cotton bra and panties, white lace trim—Rena in red Hanes underwire cotton bra and panties, white lace trim.

During R1,2,: Pure shutouts Sofer—she’s masterful midring, really picking Ripa apart, Kelly dukes up, but not moving her head much—she seems dazzled by Rena’s spicy punches, just waiting, stepping, not getting off. Sofer stepping slowly left, pinging out jabs, straight right hands from her chest, banging away at the target. Sofer picking her spots to go right hand to the body. left hook up top, clubbing right up top—but mostly it’s just measured step-and-pop as Rena posts back to back shutouts.

R3,4: Ripa getting warmed up, rotating her torso, moving her head, leading with rights, coming out of the crouch with singing left hooks, but Sofer’s maintaining her control. Fights in the middle of the ring, Rena spanking Kelly with constant jab, dropping in straight rights and clawing away with odd combinations up and down Ripa’s flanks. Pretty Kelly busting up some around the eyes—she’s frustrated, unable to get her way through 4.

R5: Rena starting to set down on, really laying in the right hand over Kelly’s left shoulder, stepping in with the clean-up hook and Ripa’s staggering back off the shots, getting broken down. Sofer coming forward now—Kelly tieing her up, but not slowing her down much as Rena presses the pace. Down the stretch—Rena pounding away jabs has Kelly frozen: slamming right hand on the chin, NICE left uppercut on the chin and KELLY GOES DOWN! Ripa lifted up, dropped to her buttocks—she’s hurt and flustered taking her 8. ON COMES~RENA! Sofer glaring as she tears into hurt blonde—rights and lefts chugging juuuust below the belt line, nipping trunk—thumping blows up into that jam-packed Ripa rack—Kelly all shook up, ragdoll and RIPA TAKES A KNEE! Kelly in a daze, right hand in the ropes—Sofer seats her a walk-away right hand on the face as the ref steps in with a scolding.

R6: Rena in with one-twos—Kelly slipping in under the right hand, swivels up out of the crouch and NAILS Sofer a walloping counter-=hook! RENA GOES DOWN! Sofer scooting to her backside, lips pursed in a hurting “O”—her turn to suck it up for 8. ON COMES KELLY! Ripa finally getting her way along the ropes—shocking Rena blunt right crosses, torquing into come-back hooks. Sofer shabby, left across her body, right under her chin, listlessly turning her shoulders, trying to slip and roll, but Kelly won’t be denied. Hungry, hungry blonde scrounging—Ripa shoving up, bodying up, getting low to dig, jumping up out of crouches with joyous hooks—it’s all too much. Sofer shipping leather, limp and unresponsive in the last minute—ref steps in to put a halt to slaughter. TKO6 Kelly Ripa.

After: Sofer protesting the stoppage, but she just couldn’t take those raking Ripa hooks any longer. Good come back effort for a spirited blonde—Kelly down twice, dropping the first five heats by wide margins—Rena earning some respect and opening some eyes at sub 120 with a strong, albeit losing effort.
