Entertaining seesaw struggle between veteran blondes. Jennie Garth showing her tremendous versatility, boxing and moving, avoiding long, draining exchanges in hopes of breaking her foe down from the outside. Shue showed her tremendous tenacity and bullheaded strength. Grinding out her rounds by fighting off Jennie’s chest. After 7. both girls were haggard` with hurt, but Garth held onto a slim lead going into the 8^th. Shue finally imposed her will, forcing Jennie into a phonebooth at the ropes and in a thrilling two-way action round, Liz finally bludgeoned Garth to her knees to stay. A sobbing Jennie G put up a brave and tactically smart performance in a loss—Liz Shuie Shue signs of life after a long period of relative inactivity.
