Before: Krushers catching heat for getting Heigl “rounds” against a buzzsaw like Garner, but Katherine’s eager for combat. Heigl positively svelte as she makes weight, looks solid at lightweight—she unfazed  by the heavy odds coming out of Vegas. Krusher mouthpieces blithely dismissing all criticism—“Heigl’s the kind of puncher who can ruin Jenny if she catches her. To our way of thinking, it’s Garner who’s making the big mistake.”

During R1: Heigl mixing it up with Jennifer early, holding her ground as Garner tries to discourage her opponent with blistering combos. Not working as Katherine stands crouched in the pocket, hands at her eyebrows, then getting off with hammer-drops lefts and rights, finding Garner’s face and chest in spirited two-way trade. Jenny stepping out to use her legs—fight gets easier as Heigl coaxed into chasing, running into Garner’s pinpoint stick and slicing right hands. Final moments, Garner fading back, times Heigl’s stick, comes in as Kathy’s loading up the right and bounces a CRACKING right hand off Katherine’s jaw. Jen bending low on follow through, nudging Kathy’s gut a shoulder-bump, Heigl out on her feet, crashes hard to her left shoulder, rendered numb by the shot. KO1 Jennifer Garner in SPECTACULAR fashion.

After: Knock on Garner’s always been the power, but she shows one-punch stoppability with this devastating triumph over Katherine. Heigl shaking it off and standing disappointed in her corner—no one’s more shocked than she to have been counted out.

“Look, speed is power,” explains an unblemished Jenny G, “I don’t have to be built like Gena Lee to generate tremendous force on my punches, Katherine goes rounds with big girls—she can take a shot. You have to give me credit for stopping her.”
