Before; long-awaited rematch, both women eager to get at each other for different reasons: Britney counting on the win to right the ship, Shania to erase a loss against a fighter for whom she has no respect. Wildly divergent styles--Spears the supple unorthodox slugger, Twain the classic boxer, with the brunette giving up almost every physical advantage in the book. Ponytailed Twain in red nylon jigging shorts, black jog bra--Spears SQUEEZED into pink Lycra tube top, pink bikini bottoms.

During R1: Shania starts with a Tapia look, chin tucked, hands high, palms out--but  she hasn’t solved Spears since their last meeting. Britney with the hands low, rumba’s around Twain, easily bending back from Twain’s thrusts, and countering with swiping wide shots from either hand. Spears spends as much time showboating as fighting, but she takes the round on volume landed.

R2: Britney wows the crowd with some dazzling counter shots, circling and reversing direction with supple energy, and smacking Shania’s ears with wide, straight arm bloows from either side. Spears with that irritating grin, really getting under Twain’s skin this round with the painful well timed single shots over Twain’s reaching jab.

R3: better round for Twain early as she cuts off the ring, staying composed and putting punches together to catch Britney in mid-gyration with the 3rd or 4th strike. Spears looks a little flat footed, bending at the waist, but quick fisted twain takes advantage, scoring several chopping right hands to the blonde’s cheek. Brunette rally ends late in the round as Britney, rotating at her waist, straightens suddenly into a booming uppercut to the pit of Shania’s stomach. Twain hurt, folds up, allowing Britney to lash at her flanks with whipping blows to the bell.

R4: Britney back in control, continues to spank Twain’s taut abs with that uppercut from the knees, straightening prettily into the punch--almost posing for cameras at ringside with her fist in Shania’s belly. Twain bobbing, trying to get inside Britney’s zone, but the blonde’s slinking movement and erratic power punching makes Shania look robotic in comparison.

R5: Spears does a lot wrong, and usually gets away with it because of her youthful athleticism, but Twain catches Britney early this round with a lunging right hand to nail the blonde as she leans straight back. Spears hurt, looks a little stunned, and Twain savages the tanned gut with lighting combinations, working her way up Britney’s body to crack a sharp left hook off the jaw to send Spears reeling sideways. Attacking from the oblique angle almost behind Britney, Shania hounds the blonde to the ropes, and rips short shots to the body, stepping to the side to turn her torso into the right uppercut. Spears’ backside ripples with the effort of keeping her feet, but soaks up Twain’s bets punches in a series of flurries that leaves the brunette drained with time on the clock. Cue comeback: Spears doggedly lifting her right hand into Shania’s sleek abs, puts the hurt on Twain’s face and Shania staggers back in pain. Britney advancing, hands at her side, hopping into those abrupt uppercuts in between Shania’s mitts to wobble the brunette and chase her to the far ropes. Shania swinging wide--Britney swiveling back on her hips, coming back with a drilling right hand from her waist to drape Shania helplessly on the ropes. Spears gives Twain the shoulder, then cranks a tight overhand right, bending deep on the follow through, and turning Twain’s  lights out with the single sweet punch, Spears stands up and puts her weight on one hip as she watches Shania crumble to the mat--totally confident that Twain cannot continue. She’s right--KO5 Britney Spears.

After Bad match for the conventionally proficient Twain the first time around, doubly bad the second as Britney gives Shania a thorough going over in this one. twain with her moments, but her approach just seems to fit Britney like a glove. Unable to box Britney, Twain is forced to slug, with predictable results.
