BEFORE:
Scottish talent Lauren Mayberry might remain a sleeper in the Dollhouse pack but there's a reason why she's so pumped ahead of the 'British Invasion' undercard opener: "Cher might be a rookie in America but back home she has a pretty impressive record, I might even get my ass kicked tonight.” Lauren says laughing, before suddenly planting her fists on her hips. “But you know what? Everyone is talking about Avril and Emma, but I’ve been doing pretty well for myself these last few months…People should start paying attention to little old me. Maybe I need something big…like, knockout of the night or something? I’ll try, but my opponent might have some reservations.” The tiny brunette ends with a giggle.

That opponent in question is Cher Lloyd, former understudy of Cheryl Cole from the 'X Factor' days which launched her musical career over in the old country. And she's like a "mini-Cheryl" given her trashy attitude showcased during her BBU tenure thus far. She's ready to bring her talents to USA and claims Lauren will be the first victim of many on her hit list: "Hello, U-S-A!!! Welcome to the Cher Lloyd show! Lauren is right when she says I have an impressive record back home, and tonight I’m starting ANOTHER impressive record over here in America – Yes Lauren – you bet your arse you’re getting it kicked! You’re gonna BEG me for mercy but NONE will be given! Brits do it better and my oh my, these Scottish wimps are LOSERS!!"

Lauren Mayberry representing her home country tonight, wearing a crop top with 'The Saltire' theme (Scottish national flag for all ye Yankees!), dark blue hotpants & white gloves. Long dark brown hair with bangs tied in a braid. Cher Lloyd wears a red crop top with white trim, white hotpants & red gloves. Long dark brown hair tied in a sleek ponytail. The fight is scheduled for ten rounds in the flyweight division.

Round 1:
Maybe Lauren watched some BBU tapes before but she still gets jumped by the newcomer as Cher takes off in slugging style and simply scores one big punch after another in the opening minute. She smacks the smaller brunette up the middle and knocks her head back repeatedly which makes the Staples Arena cringe in response. It's a British Invasion card but Lauren has gained respect as member of the hosting team yet Cher clobbers the fellow singer like she owns the place and backs her into the ropes behind a tight earmuff as Mayberry is unable to live with the high-octane drill! She tries to clinch Lloyd who only gets more animated as she lands more crisp punches down the line and keeps Lauren pinned in the corner for remainder of the round!

Round 2:
Cher roars from her corner to resume the head-hunting punishment which really exposed Lauren's back-bencher status so to speak. The Scottish talent tries to beat the fellow brunette with some pesky overhands but lacks precision and outright power as Cher pummels her around the ring again! Lauren scowls in her efforts to match Cher's intensity but then gets thumped around the liver area and drops into loud spasms as Lloyd powers ahead with more head shots that send Mayberry into hectic retreat. The Dollhouse brunette bails out of trouble thanks to some nifty footwork but she allows Cher to bully her around and the judges will have an easy score on this one!

Round 3:
Coach Kristanna Loken is furious with Lauren's lukewarm approach and reminds her how a pesky slugger like Cher should be put away: "They always run when they get hammered. Go out there and DO IT!!". Cher's big smile disappears early in the third as she takes off for another slugging pounce only to find Mayberry blasting her across the lips and then digging more jabs into her pretty face! Huh! We have a head-hunting punchfest here in the center of the ring and Lauren hangs in tough despite scowling louder of the two gals as she delivers the nasty hook on the jaw that rattles the other girl first! Cher drops to her heels and would be better off to press pause but she simply refuses to do so on her FCBA debut and WALKS into a crunching left hook on the jaw that sends her reeling onto the ropes. The Staples crowd ROARS in delight and Mayberry duly cleans out house when she pounds away at the subdued English lass however Cher's guard withstands the late pressure even though her momentum has gone away.

Round 4:
Cher seeks immediate revenge but Lauren has steered the ship into the counter-punching tracks and picks the careless English foe in close range with crisp overhands. Cher takes too many shots into her face and loses her aggressive approach while Lauren only gets vocal as she splits her mitts and lands one strike after another. Ugh! Lloyd's burst her offensive bubble and struggles to stay alive in the back & forth exchange now that her bullying tactics failed to make an impact. Mayberry taunts her in a proper manner as well but clearly wins the battle by numbers as she digs more leather into Cher's face that develops a visible swelling under the left eye. A whooping cross hook on the nose sends Lloyd spinning into the corner late and she sinks on jelly knees when Lauren thumps her to the body inside the final ten seconds of the round.

Round 5:
Mayberry's the one roaring into action now and she dumps Cher onto her heels within the initial jabbing series; she outworks the crossover brunette in close range and catches her out with a belting hook on the liver that makes Lloyd gurgle in discomfort... Lauren delivers a one-two uppercut strike to tear the high guard down before plunging into Lloyd's tummy which only makes the squeals of pain even louder... and that noise fuels Mayberry's fire as she stucks a big right hand into Cher's solar plexus TO SEND HER DOWN ONTO HER KNEES just past the one-minute mark!!! Ugh! The Gypsy vixen leans forward and rests her head against the boards but she remains down on all fours when the count reaches eight and the ref makes the ineviteable call on the spot! IT IS OVER!!!
KO5 Lauren Mayberry in come-from-behind fashion!!!

Official Result: Lauren Mayberry def. Cher Lloyd KO5.

AFTER:
Lauren choosing not to mess around with Cher post-victory as this is only the undercard and a routine check on her hit list regardless of what the BBU media preached before this night. She gives the kneeling foe a lenghty death stare and points at her bikini top colors before saying: Scottish in victory, huh? Can't have that, bytch!"

Coach Loken claims Lauren had everything under control despite a very slow start that enabled the English tourist to bag both the opening rounds: "We believe in Lauren. Sure, Emma & Avril get all the media love but she got underpinned by the BBU people too! They can't believe we signed her to our mega team while they completely missed out on her! Cher is a bully like her mentor Cheryl but we know how to deal with these girls. And watch out because Avril will frickin' SMOKE Cheryl Cole in the same manner Lauren just whooped this other chick!"

Meanwhile Cher Lloyd has declined a post-fight interview after fumbling away a golden opportunity to win on her FCBA debut! She must be wondering why the hell a 5'0" tiny operator didn't give in to her bullying tactics that worked so well over in Europe. Well, maybe that's the reason Mayberry has a management supporting her case whereas the Gypsy brunette remains a free agent?
