Before: Both agree to meet at 118 with Lane expected to play matador to Milano's bull. Diane a competent boxer, lacking seasoning to a certain extent, but certainly a tricky test going in for the stockier Alyssa. Diane in black aerobics two piece, Milano in pink bra and panties.

During R1: Both girls follow the form chart early, with Diane moving behind her jab, Milano cutting off the ring and attempting to slip inside. Lane landing more often, Alyssa landing the harder single blows in a cautious first.

R2: Diane starts out moving to her left, popping the jab, but Alyssa up tempos midway through the round, staying low and coming in Frazier style to wrench hooks into Lane's midsection. Milano shuts down Diane legs, and Lane lays in, pushing and covering up in front of Alyssa as Milano stays downstairs with whacking left hooks. In the final minute, a jolting right hand on the jaw spins Diane to one knee, leaving her shaking her head as Milano cruises to a 10-8 round.

R3: Diane flat footed, pecks at Alyssa coming in, but can't discourage the little slugger, and Milano sets up on Lane's chest for more digging left hooks in behind the elbow. Diane leaning forward on Alyssa, soaking up the punishment, wears a grimace of pain as Milano pounds away. Lane on the ropes in the final minute, actually counters well with curling uppercuts on the inside, but Alyssa banks another pressure punching round.

R4: All Alyssa Milano. She buckles Diane's legs early with the driving body attack, then hungrilly beats Lane to the ropes. Lane hunched over - Milano lifting little lefts and rights from underneath, and turning over the left hand into a short clipping hook on the chin has Diane in a bad way, and midway through the round, Lane takes a knee. Di beats the count- Alyssa wades in again for more work, hammering a defenseless Lane with pitching right hands to the side, and a clubbing left on the chin. Lane wobbles to all fours in the final minute, cut in the mouth and looking pale. She survives, but looks bullet ridden as she sags on the ropes, gently holding Alyssa around the shoulders as Milano digs into Lane's gut with both hands to the bell.

R5: Alyssa starting strong again, but fades quickly - her punch output catching up to her, and Lane fills the void, at first with tired looking single shots, then picking up speed as the round goes on. By the final minute, a flat footed Diane Lane is standing and slugging with an arm weary Alyssa, pounding in the one-two to the face, squaring up, pushing the shorter girl back, and advancing. Di gets herself back into the fight, despite her shot legs and battered body.

R6: Diane Lane continues to beat Alyssa Milano to the punch, using a quick combination up the middle, then clinching to walk Milano around, moving Alyssa's feet, and keeping her off balance. Diane not hurting Alyssa with any one thing, but she's controlling the fight, and outworking the brunette in these rounds.

R7: Di gives it some throttle, punching Milano back with one-twos, then dipping the shoulder to snap off a wicked left hook to put Alyssa wobbly butt. Milano hurt for the first time in the fight, responds like a fighter, crossing her arms, wading inside, and fighting off Diane's chest, smothering the taller girl. Milano gets out of the round, and puts some mileage on Lane's legs as she reasserts the left hook by the bell.

R8: Lane going a little right hand happy, missing over the top as Milano bobs, and Alyssa is able to come out of her crouch to land some teeth rattling counter left hooks on Lane's jaw early. Diane starts to break down, dropping her hands, taking clean punches on her chin as she stumbles back to the ropes. At the midway point, Milano with her face buried in Diane's chest, hurls her fists into Lane's body, hitting hips, thighs, low and legal. Lane begins to swoon, and Milano shoves the taller girls hips back for more punching room, drilling a right hand straight from the shoulder at very close range. Suddenly, Lane tumbles down Milano's body to the canvas, rolling to her back and blinking helplessly at the lights. KO8 for Alyssa Milano as she wears out Lane like an old coat.

After: Good performance for Alyssa who did what she had to do against a good boxer. Lane's legs shot by the 4th, forcing her out of her gameplan. Milano with an old fashioned beat down looks to get back into contention in the ultra competitive bantam and junior bantam divisions
