BEFORE: Ghost of Christmas past for Erika: "Swimfan" ingenue was once the strongest ingenue in hollywood - the "can't miss kid" like Ashley - so what happened? "Politics," Erika shrugs at podium, "mostly Neve Campbell and Rachel MacAdams using their clout to freeze me out rather than facing me in the ring. They knew I'd finish their careers, so I don't blame them. But it's better late than never: battering Ashley would be a nice little payday for me, and the start of something special for all boxing fans!" Greene snorting at both the thought of bending the knee to Erika, and being compared to her at all. "Only 4 people saw 'Swimfan'," Ashley points out, "millions upon millions flock to the Twilight franchise; a whole generation of little girls wants to grow up to be me - so I'm not going to fade away like Erika did. Nobody wants to be Erika, oh - and look: that's exactly what 'nobody' became!" Ashley in royal blue sport-cut bra and cheerleader spanky bottoms; white shoes with white socks rolled down; small white puncher's mittens; highlighted hair drawn back into slugger's bun. Erika in same outfit except scarlet in colour; small black gloves; black shoes/white socks rolled down; hair in bun with long blonde strands bracketing face. Venue: Traffic cordoned off on Rodeo Drive for lunchtime fight in the high rent district - ring set up in the middle of the road - throngs of well heeled shoppers sipping lattes and digging the work.

During R1: Greene chippin' and chargin' off her jab - she attacks Erika's ribcage early - whacking away both hands, driving Christensen ropeside. Erika absorbs, then answers - hooking Ashley's mouth, then driving her back to midring with the same thrashing two-handed body work. Trading at the minute mark - taut arms/hard shoulders shredding up strong in the sun: Ashley beats Erika to a brisk combination up top, sending Christensen sputtering to all fours. EC up quick, bouncing on the spot - buzzed, but eager to continue. Girls lean in, pound away swinging right/lefts to ribcages...spicy stuff in the first has both girls humming from punishment early.

R2: Ashley chippin' and chargin' off her jab, finds Erika's chin via short, plunging right cross: Christensen driven ropeside at the open. Follow up barrage to belly loosens EC: Erica groaning, covering up earmuff, sagging against ropes as her waist absorbs a trio of whacking Greene hooks. Short, pulverizing right parts Erika's mitts, stunning her: CHRISTENSEN GOES DOWN! Erika on all fours again - much slower getting to her feet this time: Ashley scowling, pacing neutral corner all eyes a-blazing. Resume: Greene scooting across ring - beating a rhythmic tune against Erika's flanks with batting whacks: Ashley drumming EC to ropes, keeping her there. Christensen glum - earmuffing up while sitting butt-in-ropes: sturdy body spanked sore by Greene non-stop chugging as Ashley squares up/moves hands. Bell: Greene pushing Erika deep to ropes to make her feel weight; Ashley getting strong on her girl through 2.

R3: Greene sustaining very high tempo - spitting jabs on her way in, then ripping away power shots body and head. Nice tight, crisp, ripping delivery: Ashley pursing her lips as she hums away on Erika, thumping Christensen to ropes yet again. Digging, snatching work to waistline has Erika cramped up and hurting: Greene comes off the body right uppercut off right leg/left uppercut off left leg - just short, jagged little pumps to split Christensen's mitts. Erika busting up - routinely pressed into ropes and battered: too much Ashley, coming in too hot and hard. Pelting rain takes in every bit of Christensen - hip to head: Greene outworking, outhitting, outmuscling her foe through 3.

R4: Erika leaning in behind earmuff, trying to crowd Ash midring: Greene pursing lips, pumping uppercuts - picking Erika up while stepping back in good order. Chugging work riddles Christensen with leather: she's hurt, open-mouthed when a vicious left hook tucks in behind her right elbow, tapping liver. DOWN GOES ERIKA! Christensen shouting in pain, dropping to all fours: bright smile Ashley as she raises mitts, prances off, feeling her oats. Erika bravely up - looking trounced and disheveled: she forms grumpy earmuff, sags into ropes, digs in as Ashley squares away. Scouring beatdown, Green to Christensen...Erika's fans downcast, forlorn: their girl's being systematically taken apart by younger and better.

R5: Erika shows heart - meeting Ashley midring, hooking-with and getting Greene to cover up earmuff. Christensen able to push forward for the first time - bouncing both fists off Greene's drum-tight waistline, backing her to ropes. Ashley gritting teeth, answering back short, jerking uppercuts from her high guard - reforming guard quick: Christensen beats the arms - looks to dig up the ribcage via curling, palm-down lefts and rights. Bump-n'-bruise at the ropes: Ashley digging in, willing to gut it out; Erika in top position, proving strong and hard to move once she's set. Very little holding or stalling - one girl covers up sturdy as the other gets off robusto: all very crowd pleasing and busy. Bell: Erika fits a cheap right hand onto Ashley's left ear, ringing her bell; ref warning the former ingenue not to get cheap.

R6: Ashley's spitting, chippy little jab dying on Erika's gloves, but forcing Christensen into defensive earmuff: Greene able to walk her girl down, beating the body en-route. Ropes: EriKa suffering; Ashley baring teeth, laying in close with head and shoulders - rubbin' and bumpin' inside, then digging furious hooks to Christensen's breadbasket. Gorgeous, biting stuff downstairs, really wearing out the Christensen middle: she's sliding along ropes, not answering back as Ash steps-with. Corner: ripping fusillade of blows bounces off Erika's paunch, causing her to groan, pitch forward slightly; Greene curls away up top, pumping left/right lapping uppercuts into Erika's plump tits, knocking the older blonde awkwardly upright against turnbuckle. Sudden jackhammering, straight left/rights criss-cross through the middle, punching in between Erika's mitts and pounding her face...Christensen slumps in shock, staring into leather. Ashley pursing her lips, shoulders and back ripping into relief as she pours it on: sensational straight combinations chopping into Erika with sewing machine pace. Face-punching devastates Erika - her hands drop, knees bending as she sits on turnbuckle - she's just sponging it up, helpless as ref jumps in. TKO6 in resounding fashion, Ashley Greene.

AFter: Greene pounds it out of a former ingenue contender, relegating Erika to has-been status with this brutal performance. "I wanted to show the speed, the work rate, the strength - all the hallmarks of the Bonzo fighting woman," Ashley says all out of breath in postfight. "Erika's still brawny-strong, but she's lost a step to rust and discouragement - she just couldn't answer my volume and intensity. With Lilly maybe slowing down, the gym doesn't have to miss a beat - maybe just swap me into the lead bantam spot and..." Ashley's publicist taking her in hand before she says something she'll regret: important thing to remember is that Greene dominated Christensen. There is no bantam controversy at Bonzo, repeat: there is no bantam controversy at Bonzo.
