Before: Hayek's pride taking a shellacking these past few weeks - Salma labouring under the crushing burden of a JLH title reign - mighty Mex looking to make someone suffer for it. "I have nothing against Gellar personally," Salma says, "but I have things - frustrations - that must be worked out in the ring. Sarah will be punished." Gellar in some of the best fights of the last few months, but generally getting used up in torrid donnybrooks - will she revert to a more safety-first style in keeping with her questionable durability? "To me, that fight with Hewitt could have gone either way - my brawl with Packard could have seen Kelly go under - I really don't think girls have separated themselves from me at all. Besides, everyone knows you have to get Salma's respect or she'll roll right over you. I'll be kicking a little Latina backside, don't you worry about that!" Sarah in black bandeau bikini, tan bordering, battle bun hair - Salma in scarlet bikini from After the Sunset (just one of many fighting looks from the movie - thank you Salma).

During R1: Gellar bending in with a Hello right hand, clouting Hayek firm along the jaw and sending a message early: "I've come to fight." Hayek storming through it, oblivious to blonde power - Hayek brazenly hooking to liver, right hand up and out wide as she sails into Gellar's midsection. Sarah sliding to the left, weaving in and out, changing up her direction - she's looking to land hard, but she's not just fronting up and going with Hayek. Late the round - bitter exchange of hooks goes Gellar's way - while Hayek's blinking, Sarah pounces with a clocking right, biting left to the temple, spilling Hayek to ropes. GELLAR GOES JUG! Sarah taking a page from the Jenny Love Hewitt playbook (chapter entitled "How to Beat Salma Hayek") - feet braced wide, elbows in, chugging up into hulking Mexican hooter with a savage herky-jerk action. Bell: Hayek open-mouthed in shock - when did little flyweights start getting the notion that they could just wade in on Salma Hayek and get after her rack?

R2: Hayek tentative, startled - Gellar gambit to get respect in the first paying off as Salma doesn't collapse distance or press early this round. Sarah jabbing her way in, then staying close to snap away rights and lefts behind Hayek's elbows - that's right: Gellar going to Hayek's body with gusto! Salma covering up and taking Pik! Pak! Pek! off her lats and waist - leaning forward, not doing much about it. Gellar actually getting brawny, muscling Hayek at the ropes with the left shoulder/extended left elbow routine, than lathering away hooks at Hayek's flank. Salma listless, soaking it up, but biding her time - late the round she times Gellar a chopping right hand off the ropes that finds 100% chin. Sarah put wobbly butt, reels away with forlorn expression - Salma using the moment to collect herself rather than pursue.

R3: Hayek storms out - Gellar shows that ol' slap n slip form. Salma missing wildly over top - Sarah dragging her front foot as she pivots and slides around, bending at the waist, easing to her left and licking pesky to Salma's available ribs. Midway through, Gellar changes tack, stepping in and nailing Hayek a looping right upside the head, stepping-with as Hayek staggers back and nailing it again to chase Latina to ropes. GELLAR ALL IN! Sarah gambling, picking spots to surprise Hayek with - blonde sails into Salma with outrageous swinging lefts and rights to midsection, CRAMPING HAYEK UP! Salma frozen, stooped, gloves at her temples - SARAH'S WORKING HER OVER! Gellar baring her teeth with effort - scouring Hayek's back raking hooks; hup-hup-hupping underneath with egg-beater combos to Salma's bulging hooters; twisting hips and sinking hooks into the tan thick of Hayek's waist. Salma just drooping, taking - unbelievable torrential punching from feather-fisted Gellar and HAYEK TAKES A KNEE! Salma's eyes blurry with shock: Gellar storming away bellowing, thumping her chest - crowd murmuring at the unlikely sights unfolding through 3.

R4: Gellar mixing it up - now lobbing looping rights to jaw, swinging hooks to paunch - now swivel-pivoting, bobbing, slipping to the side, changing up looks on Hayek. Salma tight - missing a lot - dukes collected near her mouth - she's following Gellar around, constantly off balance and never really comfortable pulling the trigger and blonde boxes and brawls to expand her lead!

R5: Gellar picking a spot to come in and slug...it's her first mistake of the night. Hayek nice and compact, hooking with Gellar - series of disastrous trades puts Sarah wobbly butt, helpless as Salma throws more and more weight behind each successive blow. Furious pounding turns Sarah to her left - she crouches to all fours, shaking her head to clear it. After 8, Salma marching in behind a stubby jab and jolting straight right hand - all to set up truly savage gancha hooks to Sarah's trembling liver. Glorious body shots - Hayek twisting her hips, getting in under Gellar's elbow at the ropes - gut shot blonde spills to all fours, mouth agape - badly rattled. Gellar gusty, rising again, but clearly wilting - she can't get off the ropes, movement growing sluggish, reactions late as Hayek pours it on. Salma right on top, but not smothering herself, lavishing Gellar hooks ear, shoulder and flank, pounding Gellar's face back straight right hands and getting all up in there with that shuddering gancha hook. Gellar rides it out, but she's pale, clammy, shaky at the bell - Salma looking her over with fierce pride as blonde tries to disguise the hurt.

R6: Gellar gritty - badly used last round, she gets crafty, haunting and bedeviling Salma midring. Hayek growing tentative when she misses - turning, keeping her hands under her chin, trying to get a read on Gellar. Sarah no longer looking to hurt, but she's tapping away, nickle-and-diming, pestering Salma to the ribs, tummy and ears. Change-up lead right hands, licking counters underneath Hayek's misses the routine for a good Gellar recovery round.

R7: Hayek utilizing the jab the way she should have from the first - hard, tangy punches to the top of Gellar's head, her shoulders, upperchest, steering Sarah to ropes. Sarah flat footed, bending at the waist, trying to potshot off the ropes - elbows in, dukes up. Salma giving up the odd shot on her chin to dig to Gellar's body - Latina working with double and triple lefts or rights up into stricken blonde midsection. After 2 minutes, poor Gellar's crippled - unable to answer back, all cramped up at the ropes. Blonde drooping farther and farther forward as Hayek dips and digs up under the elbows, reefing murderously to body and GELLAR GOES DOWN! Sarah weepy, hugging herself as she sinks back onto her haunches - she's not getting up. KO7 in bloodcurdling fashion - Salma Hayek.

After: Hayek stomping around, eyes flashing, chest heaving in righteous vindication - once she settled down and started banging Gellar's body, blonde unraveled in short order. Up until then though, Sarah was actually having her way - hurting Salma, backing her up, partaking of jug, shoving, slugging, even knocking Hayek down. Heretical whisper campaign concerning Salma's age and miles of hard Latina gym-wars starting to build momentum as first Hewitt, now Gellar makes Salma look human at times in the ring. HBO techs, burned by Kelly Brook's heinous post-fight smother, quickly pull the trigger on Swan Lake just in case hotblooded Salma loses control.
