Theron a big favorite, but Tia can ask some questions of the champ tonight. Niggling doubts about Charlize' ability to weather welterweight punches remain - Tia coming down for this fight, still brings the beef. Tia's stuffing body attack can hurt a boxer if successful - how's Charlize going to cope if her legs go numb? And don't forget Carerre's championship pedigree - former champion not about to lay down for Theron, despite acknowledging that a decision win is all but out of the question. "I have to get Charlize out of there," says Tia simply in pre-fight.

Round 1: Charlize sharp-shooting this round - drilling her jab into Tia's face, biting into mouth with hard right crosses - lancing punches are backing Tia up and that's not Carrere's game plan. Shutout Theron as Tia can't do anything going in reverse.

Round 2: Charlize back out with the spearing stick, immediately has Tia's head bouncing back, Carrere flustered, on her heels and a sizzling Theron right on the teeth jerks Tia a quarter turn to her right and sends her jiggling to the ropes. Theron on her like a heart attack, brutalizing Tia up against the ropes as the challenger can't get off. Charlize stroking Tia with hooks, doubling and tripling up with batting lefts, then biting down on hard right hands to the face as Tia goes sullen, droops forward to take. Hard punching shutout Charlize Theron - plan to back Tia up is working to perfection through two.

Round 3: Tia lands her first whistling right hand to the body, slinging it underhand to fit perfectly into Charlize' smooth abs. Bulk of the round is Theron continuing to jet her jab in on Tia's face, tilting the Asian backward and dropping sensational right hands to the jaw. Carrere really taking a terrific punch thus far - Charlize drops a lot of girls with the artillery she's firing here.

Round 4: Another shutout Charlize Theron. Charlize still boring into Tia - it wasn't expected in the Carrere camp and nobody seems to have an answer. Theron adds the uppercut, clipping Tia's overhanging face whenever Carrere leans forward. Theron also pre-empting Tia's body shot with a thick right hand of her own to Carrere's chubby midriff - Tia often grunting, double-clutching and fanning on her own punches after having the air pushed out of her body.

Round 5: Tia too stubborn to get discouraged, finally stands her ground, jabs with Charlize to minimize the blonde's effectiveness with that punch. She finally gets into the blonde's breadbasket hard with that devastating underhand right. Charlize backing up for the first time in the fight, pulling down on Tia's head with both gloves as blonde takes the body shots, clinches, breathes through an open mouth. Fight goes toe to toe, Charlize grabby in there, pulling Tia, tying her up, stepping back to walk the Asian into the right uppercut. Tia fighting through the clinches, reaching with her left to get range, then burying her right in Charlize breast or belly with heart-stopping force. Good two way action round - Tia gets her first points.

Round 6: Charlize flat footed, immediately looks to tie up Tia's head and right arm as the ref issues breaks. Carrere getting confident, walking Charlize down and, at the end of the first minute, Tia jabs tit, then heaves in a right to the pit of the stomach. THERON AGONIZED, TURNS AWAY AND BUCKLES SIDEWAYS TO THE ROPES - Tia gets big and brawny on the champ! Grim moments for Theron - she's hurt, grimacing, her back against the strands as she desperately pulls down on Tia's head, ties up Tia's arms, tries to smother the Asian's grinding attack. Tia chopping at Charlize midriff, bending side to side, and occasionally clubbing Theron's jaw as the blonde's form starts to wilt. At the bell, Tia chests up to force eye contact - Charlize shoving her back and tempers flare.

Round 7: Mark of a champion - Charlize definitely feeling the residual effects of Tia's body work, but she sucks it up, starts feeding Tia jabs and once again has Carrere bobbing, bending, backing up instead of lumbering forward. Tia lands some nice left hooks on Charlize chin late, but it's not enough to take the round.

Round 8: Classy blonde shutout. Theron succeeds in closing Tia's left eye this round after heartlessly pounding on it with the jab all night long. Right hands are exploding on Tia's sleepy face - Asian taking the punches and staring dumbly back - the punishments adding up. Round ends with Tia sullen at the ropes, soaking up lathering abuse as Charlize lashes double left hands, drilling rights to the bell.

Round 9: Charlize rolls up her challenger this round. Tia can't handle the jab constantly banging against her face no matter what she does - Asian in complete disarray as she crosses her arms and stumbles away from the champ. Theron getting murderous extension on right crosses, beating Tia sideways and sending her hobbling to her right and midway through - a booming blast to the chin rockets Tia to her back at the ropes. Charlize bounding to a neutral corner, and is SHOCKED to see Tia grimly climb the strands to somehow beat the count. Carrere out on her feet, swaying dreamily as Charlize advances to finish. Heartbreaking beat down at the ropes - Tia stunned, gloves limp at her lips, beaten from one foot to the other as Charlize laps it up - at the bell - Theron's arms are humming from the abuse she's just welted onto her challenger - Carrere staggers senseless to her stool.

Round 10: Charlize heaps it on. Jabbing Tia to the ropes, Charlize sets up in a wide stance and sets about the grim task of beating Carrere unrecognizable. Slashing right crosses, double-swat left hooks - Charlize shifting her weight from one foot to the other as she pulls disastrous haymakers into a shell-shocked opponent. Tia out on her feet, but sliding along the ropes, gloves at her face, body tilted forward - she is massacred but refuses to give Charlize satisfaction. At the bell, Theron bellows in triumph, lifting her mitts as she stands directly in front of Tia who's slumped against the ropes, head in her hands as she lolls forward in a daze. After: Carrere savagely beaten, face distorted from Theron's reckless beating, but somehow she manages a game smile as Charlize comes over, puts an arm around her shoulders and congratulates the former champ on a gritty performance. Parallel title bouts on the night - classy blonde champs undressing more workmanlike brunette challengers.

"Hey, I threw the kitchen sink at Tia tonight," says a weary Charlize in post fight. "She just wouldn't go."
