5. Hannah Ferguson vs Alina Vacariu

Hannah:

BEFORE:
“Freakin’ Upton’s gonna get what’s comin’ to her,” Hannah says at the press tour earlier, glancing around nervously in case another ambush is awaiting her as she enters the hall. “She’s going to resist, so I’ll just have to shove my jugs into her face, JMD match or no come our match at the end of the month. To Alina, I’m sorry she has got to get caught up in this drama. Believe me, I’d like nothing more than to concentrate on efforts on my upcoming fight with Upton, but the ink was already signed with Vacariu, so I’m treating her as wind-up practice.”

Alina, of course, not liking the sound of that, the bulky Romanian model and actress looking toned and fit despite being almost a decade older than her counterpart tonight. She may be more fluent in her native tongue, but manages to catch the blatant insult from Ferguson’s use of certain words.

“Congratulations to Hannah for her title opportunity, but I regret to inform her that it’s going to be a short-lived one. I plan on punching her out tonight so badly, show her no mercy whatsoever, that Hannah will regret ever fighting me. Forget about fighting Upton at the end of June - I will not go easy on her.”

Ladies square off for the official staredown and Hannah, though one inch taller, looks leaner than her brunette counterpart, with Alina more known for her power-swinging KOs of Elisabetta Gregoraci and Emma Frain in recent months. It’s clear both ladies don’t know much about the other’s fighting capabilities, and so they’re warily (but calmly) planting bunched up fists close to the chin or tummy, the true sizing up of each other due much later once they’re actually in the ring. There’s even a respectable (albeit brief) hand-shake as the two fighters break apart and head backstage.

All this while, Hannah looks clearly on edge, her fight with Upton less than a month away but already, the mind-games and no-holds-barred ambushes starting, with the Vixen telling herself she can’t afford to get jumped and smothered like that last time. Guess that would explain that full escort of security guards accompanying her through the backstage doors.

Later, both ladies enter the arena without further incident, with Alina striding in first dressed in a long, flowing black bathrobe, later removing the outer garment to reveal a baby blue bikini underneath, white gloves on either hand for this contest. Hannah walks down the ramp with a little more bounce in her step, after being reassured by the ring officials that Upton has not been sighted within ten miles of the arena. The alpha Vixen’s wearing a sultry bright orange bikini herself, raising black gloves mixed with red when her name’s announced by the official. There goes the bell and HERE WE GO with ten rounds of Welterweight action!

ROUND 1:
Big girls test each other out at the sound of the bell, striding in all cocky and confident before they start swinging at each other with all their might. Hannah, definitely the more agile of the pair, avoids a sudden hook sent towards her head by Alina before weaving left to dodge another fast-moving uppercut. Big moves from Vacariu this early in the fight, as she looks to stun the blonde before things get going officially. But the moves don’t pay off as Ferguson cuffs her across the face with a return hook, a textbook blast sent into her cheek the other way as Hannah finds out just how much damage the Romanian girl can take this early. Quite a lot, it seems, as Alina grunts but barely moves back an inch, and Hannah is forced to adapt by retreating from yet another lunging overhand sent towards her head from the bigger brunette. Round ends a little later with Hannah still in control, though Alina’s determination to hurt her can’t be denied forever.

ROUND 2:
Alina moves in more cautiously in the second, her toned body still pulsing with power as she picks and chooses her shots more carefully this time. Hannah peppering her arms with jabs at a distance but then growls as she gets stunned by a big right return hand to her own. Alina presses in, more slowly but somehow much more overbearing, ploughing another cross into Hannah’s body to send her grunting back further. Hannah being forced to adapt to this big girl bearing down on her, her long legs moving in overdrive in the final minute as she shows fear of engaging Vacariu directly. Alina shrugs off the rest of the jabs sent towards her head till the bell rings, smiling wide as she picks up a wide round and more importantly, a winning strategy going forward.

ROUND 3:
Now that both women have gotten a good feel of the other’s capabilities, they start the third in a slow circle first, fists hovering close to their chests, just below the chin, till Hannah snaps an early one-two combo straight into the middle of Alina’s face. Vacariu is just a tad too slow to intercept the more agile Hannah’s punches, and whenever she moves her arms up to block, Hannah just changes targets and batters her tummy and abs like she’s beating a drum. Alina, however, growls after the repeated abuse, suddenly swings back high to catch Hannah on the chin with a lunging right hook, before a follow-up uppercut stuns the Vixen to the arms, hard enough that it sends the blonde stepping back a couple of paces. Lots of equal action between the pair throughout the rest of this round, and they spend the last minute trading shots from afar to end it in a draw.

ROUND 4:
Alina is still giving Hannah trouble with power swings - something Hannah doesn’t know how to avoid or counter just yet. Girls meet smack in the middle but Ferguson again gets thrown to the side by a sudden hook landing to her body, another swing from Vacariu bashing into her raised arm. Hannah can’t seem to decide whether she wants to stay and brawl with the Romanian or run and jab at her face, and the end result is Vacariu manages to push her into the ropes multiple times, burying shots into her body in an attempt to bully the Vixen down to her knees. Hannah performing her clinch-work best she can, her arms wrapped around the big girl’s shoulders and trying to use her body to push back or control the action - she does score some tight shots to the side of Vacariu’s face to prevent a total rout in the fourth, though it’s safe to say Hannah’s the one who’s finally saved by the referee when the bell rings, with Alina being pulled off and smiling as she strides back to her corner.

ROUND 5:
A worrying trend in this entire event with the Vixens seen to constantly be losing multiple rounds in a row. Hannah again gets hammered early on as Alina marches right into her and plows a straight hand into her guard. The Romanian sensation is playing to her strengths and trying to KO the former champ within five rounds, if possible, but Hannah’s also used to dealing with power-hitters - hell, she’s about to face one at the end of the month. She moves quick and light about the ring, avoiding most of Alina’s heavier swings and thus tiring her foe out in the process. Alina not giving up the chase, however, huffing and puffing and catching the Vixen with a clean hook to the head down the line, which spins Hannah along the ropes with a grunt, and momentarily stuns her. Alina trying to go in for the kill, crowding in close and chugging away at the tummy, but her lack of stamina also results in her getting turned around unexpectedly, with Hannah returning the favour with a winded elbow shoved into her throat, and her other hand drilled into the brunette’s abs. While Alina dominated the first two minutes, earning her another wide round, she couldn’t quite cross the finish line.

ROUND 6:
Alina clearly running out of juice, still swinging at Hannah from afar but her arms moving much slower. Hannah showing her own patience, leaning back, weaving easily around Alina’s hooks as they hit the air in front of her face, or bash into her forearms protecting her body. Slowly, Hannah hits back, snap jabs landing in a series of combos on the brunette’s nose and lips, which stun her during her mid-swings, before Hannah’s bigger hooks clap her clean on the cheek, which send Alina finally groaning and thrown off to the left and right. Vacariu gets driven to the ropes this time, but still proving dangerous when she switches to left-right combos of her own that pound into Hannah’s body and arms on the Vixen’s approach. Ferguson’s still squeezing in punches all the way to the bell, getting in as many points as she can whilst enjoying the sound of her leather hitting flesh and Alina’s grunts as she gets almost cut in half on the ropes from the body blows.

ROUND 7:
Vacariu looks visibly shaken, portions of her body all red and pummeled from the accumulated abuse. She tries surprising Hannah with a lunge towards her head early on, but Hannah’s too alert still to get caught, and it’s a repeat of the sixth round when Ferguson presses in due to her greater energy reserves. Alina grunts as she takes a return one-two-three combo ending with a hook swiped across her chin, finally breaking the dam and sending her stumbling into the ropes! ALL DOWNHILL from here on out, with Ferguson rushing in after the wounded girl, ramming more uppercuts up into her bruised body, up into the arms to break that guard apart enough - a final HOOK bashed across the chin sends Alina SPINNING off to the side, mouth-open and groaning, where she finally falls forward, face planting to the ground!! It’s the first KNOCKDOWN of the evening! Hannah’s seen smirking, holding up a confident glove whilst she rests the rest of her body against the ropes in the neutral corner. Alina does her best to reach up towards the middle rope for leverage, but the rest of her body isn’t cooperating, with her heavy frame flopping back onto her back right before the referee hits the count of 10! It’s OVER!!

Official Decision: Hannah Ferguson defeats Alina Vacariu via KO7!

AFTER:
Hannah puts on an impressive performance tonight, throwing her golden gloves into the air as she breaks into a wide grin. As quickly as she allowed herself to celebrate, however, that same cautious glance sent left and right, Hannah vividly recalling how she got ambushed by Kate Upton in her last match-up when she wasn’t paying attention.

But no such interference here, however, or perhaps Upton is just busy playing mind games with the Vixen. Only the enthusiastic cheers of her fans are heard from the rafters, as Hannah makes sure the coast is clear before pulling Alina off the ground by her hair, posing with the Romanian girl’s cheek resting against her tummy whilst on her knees.

“That’s just a small example of what I’m going to do to you at the end of the month, Kate,” Hannah shouts into the microphone later, when she’s stopped by reporters on her way back up the ramp.
