Before: Childish squabbling over contract details delays this fight almost 6 months, but the two lanky bodied blondes finally step into the ring, bringing a sigh of relief to corporate sponsor Speedo. Fight opens a 3 day beach volleyball tournament, ring set up on the sand, outdoor setting, both girls wearing Speedo bikinis, navy for Romijn, light blue for Gena Lee. Little to choose between the contestants, although Lee with a history of taking a better punch than the fragile super model.

During R1: Sloppy first, sees the girls fencing with their gloves - each too tentative to take a step forward into power punching range. Long arms grappling, pushing one another off balance - it is Romijn who seems best able to take advantage of the chaotic tenor of the bout, sweeping Gena's arms out of the way and swatting at the blonde with wide, slapping blows, primarily right hands. Lee does nothing more than pout and b###h to the ref about non-existent fouls as the crowd grows restless.

R2: Gena takes the initiative, setting down on her punching, and comes up the middle strong with lanky one twos. Lee's jab is little more than a range finder, but slinging right hands find Romijn's mouth and head with distressing ease, putting the supermodel into super retreat early. Gena Lee stalking like a bully, loading up and bending into her looping overhand rights. Midway through the round, Lee catches Romijn pulling straight back, hands low, with a crashing right on the eye. Romjin's long legs go funky as she staggers in front of Gena Lee, as Nolin recedes, steps smartly to the right, and punches right through the jaw of Romijn from the model's side. Rebecca’s head snaps, legs fold, and she crumples to the canvas like a dead praying mantis. KO 2 for Gena Lee in impressive fashion.

After: Give credit where it's due, Gena Lee saw her opponent was hurt and finished like a pro with that serviceable right hand. Romjin not exactly rugged, but winning the fight on points up until the stoppage.
